Dr. Patel grew up in India and attended dental school at RGUHS, Bangalore, where he graduated top of his class. Upon graduation, he practiced as a general dentist for 2 years before moving to US in 2013. Dr. Patel then completed a 2-year Masters in Oral Biology Research Program at Augusta University in Augusta, GA. After completing his thesis in Oral Biology, Dr. Patel attended Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University to complete his residency in Periodontics and Dental Implantology.
Outside of practicing dentistry, he enjoys traveling, biking, and spending quality time with family. Being able to settle down in the Central Virginia area is a dream come true, and he is extremely grateful for the opportunity to get to know each of you and provide you with the highest quality Periodontal care!
Paige has been a dental hygienist since graduating from VCU in 2003. She was a high school teacher for 10 years before switching careers. She enjoys Periodontics and has been working in our periodontal office for 12 years. Although her passion is periodontics, she also enjoys community dentistry and teaching dental hygiene. In her free time, she loves to do outdoor activities like rock climbing and hiking.
Shannon has been in the dental field for 14 years. She worked as a dental assistant for 7 years before transitioning to the front office role. She learned and gained valuable experience in all aspects of the administration department of a dental office. She has been with the practice for last 7 years and enjoys getting to know each patient while making sure they receive exceptional care from start to end. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her husband and 2 boys.
Vanessa is a new Dental Assistant, she recently got her Certification in March 2021 from Medical Educators. She is overly excited about learning as much as she can about Dentistry. Vanessa is very organized and a great listener. During her free time, she loves to spend time doing relaxing and adventurous hobbies with her boyfriend Isaiah and her son Hendrixs.
Courtland is brand new to the dental field and became a part of our team in 2021. She is excited to start a new adventure with us and is enthusiastically learning about the administrative aspects of the dental field. In her free time, she enjoys doing her nails and spending time with family and her boyfriend.

Dr. Patel, Shannon and entire staff are THE BEST!!! Scheduling was easy, they're on time and the care is excellent and compassionate. Dr. Patel listens to my concerns. Upbeat office offering excellent care. Hull ST location is convenient to Brandermill, Woodlake and 288.

I had a great experience at Tulips Periodontics & Dental Implants. Dr. Patel and his staff were nothing short of wonderful throughout the whole process. I had gum graft surgery on 3 of my receding gums. Although it was painful, It was totally worth it, and I am very glad I chose their practice to do the procedure. I will definitely refer them to anyone in need of there services.

Great experience overall! Came in for an eval first and had no hesitation to continue with the prescribed care because of how kind, professional, and likeable all of the staff were (Shannon and Courtland), especially Dr. Patel. My treatment was also handled with extreme care, attention to detail, patience and consistency. I highly recommend this team for any periodontal work! I look forward to coming back for routine check ups.

They are absolutely incredible. Dr. Patel and his staff are beyond wonderful. The atmosphere makes you feel safe and welcomed. He performed a crown lengthening procedure and it literally changed my life. All I do is smile with confidence now. Thank you all!

Dr. Patel and his staff are absolutely wonderful! Everyone is so friendly, professional, and very efficient. I was really nervous during my gum grafting procedure. Dr. Patel and his great assistant really helped me through it..very accommodating and comforting. I had my 2 week follow up today and am so pleased that all was good! I highly recommend Tulips!

I had to have a gum graft done on the bottom of mouth. I have a fear of dentist due to pain . No pain here the Dr fix me right up and follow up personally with a call. Very professional staff this office needs more than a five star. Everyone treats you as family and not just a patient. WINNING

Had to get a gum graph done, and Dr. Patel and the rest of his staff were amazing. I was terrified and they did everything to make sure I was comfortable during and after the procedure. Dr. Patel was super great and patient when answering all my questions. While I hope to never have to deal with another gum graph, if I did I would go back!

They maintain great contact and do everything they can to make you comfortable, from the procedure itself to insurance and billing. Put it this way, my husband needs a periodontist now and we will be driving an hour to him instead of someone local. Highly recommended!
