Dentistry is my passion. During the nearly a decade that Ive practiced as a family, restorative and cosmetic dentist, the joy of working with a team in delivering best possible care for my patients has only grown. I enjoy forming lasting relationships with my patients, team members, and specialists to make beautiful and healthy smiles in a caring and relaxing environment. The best part of providing excellent care is taking time to get to know my patients and helping them reach long-term health objectives.
Dentistry is unique in the sense that is at the same time science, art, and skill. Appreciating all three aspects, I combine my 10 years of dental practice with an innate appreciation for arts and aesthetics, and a continuous seek for knowledge. Growing up in Brazil often considered the Mecca of aesthetic surgery has heightened my sense and intuition for dental aesthetics. And my continuous search for knowledge has led me to combine an ivy-league degree (Doctor of Dental Medicine, from Univ. of Pennsylvania), with a masters degree in Periodontology and Implantology, and even a Ph.D. doing DNA research in periodontal disease. I did also an externship in Oral Surgery at the Univ. of Washington. Outside the office, I enjoy hiking, cooking, eating, and spending time with my husband and my10-year-old son in the beautiful Northwest, as well as traveling. Weve been exploring different countries, including China, India, Thailand, and many countries in Europe and Americas.
Best dentist experience ever! I have to admit going to the dentist is not my favorite thing, but Dr. Florencio and her team were great. For the first time I could understand what was going on in my teeth. I can't tell much from those x-rays, but they took some digital images which showed the tooth decay, and had very clear explanations of the procedure, and what to expect. And that laughing gas made it all a walk in the park. Thanks!
I moved to the area last spring, so this was my first visit to Tulip Dental. I went in to get my regular cleaning, They were quick but did a thorough job and are not rushing to get me out the door and onto the next patient. Somehow, my teeth seemed smoother than I remember from previous cleaning. They answered all my questions about the crown my previous dentist had recommended, and made me understand much better what to expect from my teeth in the next several years. Great experience!
The dentist I had since I was a kid retired and I was nervous about selecting a new one. A friend mentioned Tulip Dental, and I felt compelled to try it, as the location was so much more convenient than the old place. My experience couldn't have been better. I didn't had much work needed, Dr. Florencio was great in explaining what to watch for, and what to expect. Thank you so much for your wonderful care. Keep up the great work!
I brought in my 3yo son to Dr. Florencio for his first dental visit. The staff was so friendly, patient, and accommodating!! I guess I may have transmitted some of anxiety to Kevin, because he seemed very quiet as we were driving to the clinic. As we got there, he went right or the kids while I filled the paperwork. Roberta (the assistant) has quite a ways with kids. (I later learned she was a pediatric dentist in Brazil). I'm not sure Kevin liked best Roberta, the cool alligator, or the medal he got in the end, but he was talking about it for days!

The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. I have always felt that I receive complete and thorough care during cleanings and other procedures. Costs are always outlined ahead of time and questions or concerns are addressed professionally. Dr. Hung is friendly and communicative and, as a returning patient, I found her transition into providing care was smooth (helped along by the stellar reception staff and hygienists!). Dr. Florencio was always an excellent provider, as demonstrated by other reviews, and I will miss her but she left the practice in good hands. I would recommend this office directly to friends and family in network.

Wanted to update my review to reflect my recent experience with the new doctor and the team. Unfortunately, 6 stars is not an option, so I'll stick to 5. Dr. Wendy Hung is very nice and knowledgeable and took the time to address all my concerns. Darian did my cleaning and really went the extra mile in regards to care and attention to detail. Natalya at the front desk is possibly the nicest and most attentive patient care coordinator I've ever worked with. Will definitely come back!

Once upon a time there was an excellent clinic. Today was my third visit, and I felt totally fooled. I paid $239 for a cleaning, the same amount that I've paid for a cleaning + initiation fee few months ago. If you value your money, avoid this place. Also, the doctor didn't cleaning my teeth, her assistant did. She just came into to room to take a look at me, and then charged me more $139 for nothing. EDIT: Again, I didn't asked for any evaluation. My appointment was for a cleaning ($99).

Everybody's extremely polite and make you feel comfortable and assured during your appointment. They will also give you a breakdown prior to procedures which is also highly appreciated. Highly recommended!

My husband and I are very satisfied with the services received at Dr. Carolina Florencio and the Tulip Dental team. They are very professional, personable and caring. They didn't give us any unnecessary treatment like our previous dentist, if they think there might be a problem. They will refer you to a specialist and they will keep you in mind and give you a call when there is an opening when you asked to get an earlier appointment. Very happy with the service!!!

I Loved this office. 1st time visit. BTW dentist's offices and I aren't very good friends. Soooo .... I feel like a new dental 'chapter' could be written for me. I am actually looking forward to my follow up appt. What???

As usual, another wonderful job done! It is always so nice to go to Tulip Dental. Worth facing the WA-405 traffic in the morning! Dr Carolina is great with patients, always calm and with a smile in her face. She and the staff help the patient to feel very comfortable and relaxed you always feel welcome there. Most important, they are honest and won't push unnecessary treatments or products on you! Before you commit to a treatment, they list everything that is covered by the insurance as well as what is out-of-pocket expenses so you are 100% aware of the costs before hand. Avoids those nasty surprises (as seen in many places) of extra payments. 10 stars, extremely happy with the service and fully recommend to other customers.

Dr Carolina is incredible.Came in on her day off to help me .I had a crown come off last night and she was so concerned that she had me come in as soon as I could.She truly cares for her patients and is so kind and caring.Took an X-ray and was assured it could be replaced.Saved my tooth and bought me a few more years on this tooth.Thank you Dr Carolina.

I went for another visit today for a tooth to be filled/fixed. Dr. Florencio and her assistant were so attentive to my needs! I am just so impressed and pleased with this dental office. Very helpful and nice office staff! So glad that our daughter referred us to this dental office.
