Dentistry is my passion. During the nearly a decade that Ive practiced as a family, restorative and cosmetic dentist, the joy of working with a team in delivering best possible care for my patients has only grown. I enjoy forming lasting relationships with my patients, team members, and specialists to make beautiful and healthy smiles in a caring and relaxing environment. The best part of providing excellent care is taking time to get to know my patients and helping them reach long-term health objectives.
Dentistry is unique in the sense that is at the same time science, art, and skill. Appreciating all three aspects, I combine my 10 years of dental practice with an innate appreciation for arts and aesthetics, and a continuous seek for knowledge. Growing up in Brazil often considered the Mecca of aesthetic surgery has heightened my sense and intuition for dental aesthetics. And my continuous search for knowledge has led me to combine an ivy-league degree (Doctor of Dental Medicine, from Univ. of Pennsylvania), with a masters degree in Periodontology and Implantology, and even a Ph.D. doing DNA research in periodontal disease. I did also an externship in Oral Surgery at the Univ. of Washington. Outside the office, I enjoy hiking, cooking, eating, and spending time with my husband and my10-year-old son in the beautiful Northwest, as well as traveling. Weve been exploring different countries, including China, India, Thailand, and many countries in Europe and Americas.
Best dentist experience ever! I have to admit going to the dentist is not my favorite thing, but Dr. Florencio and her team were great. For the first time I could understand what was going on in my teeth. I can't tell much from those x-rays, but they took some digital images which showed the tooth decay, and had very clear explanations of the procedure, and what to expect. And that laughing gas made it all a walk in the park. Thanks!
I moved to the area last spring, so this was my first visit to Tulip Dental. I went in to get my regular cleaning, They were quick but did a thorough job and are not rushing to get me out the door and onto the next patient. Somehow, my teeth seemed smoother than I remember from previous cleaning. They answered all my questions about the crown my previous dentist had recommended, and made me understand much better what to expect from my teeth in the next several years. Great experience!
The dentist I had since I was a kid retired and I was nervous about selecting a new one. A friend mentioned Tulip Dental, and I felt compelled to try it, as the location was so much more convenient than the old place. My experience couldn't have been better. I didn't had much work needed, Dr. Florencio was great in explaining what to watch for, and what to expect. Thank you so much for your wonderful care. Keep up the great work!
I brought in my 3yo son to Dr. Florencio for his first dental visit. The staff was so friendly, patient, and accommodating!! I guess I may have transmitted some of anxiety to Kevin, because he seemed very quiet as we were driving to the clinic. As we got there, he went right or the kids while I filled the paperwork. Roberta (the assistant) has quite a ways with kids. (I later learned she was a pediatric dentist in Brazil). I'm not sure Kevin liked best Roberta, the cool alligator, or the medal he got in the end, but he was talking about it for days!
