Tucson Dental Studio opened in 2019 when Dr. Taylor Spader took over Gerhart Dental. Gerhart Dental, under the ownership of Dr. Lawrence Gerhart, cared for the residents of Tucson for almost 40 years. Dr. Spader is eager to continue the legacy of high-quality, family-oriented care that local families have grown to know and expect.
Dr. Taylor Spader graduated from Show Low High School in the White Mountains of Arizona. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science, and Master of Public Health. He then attended UNLV-School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Spader believes strongly in continuing his education and has advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implants, and Invisalign. Dr. Spader enjoys creating a family-friendly and fun atmosphere while providing the state-of-the-art in dentistry. He believes in the art of creating beautiful smiles and building lifelong relationships.
In his free time, Dr. Spader loves to spend time with his family. He is married and has three kids, 2 Great Danes, a Pug, and a cat. His wife, Paola, is from Bogota, Colombia and teaches first grade at Leman Academy of Excellence. His oldest daughter, Dani, is 18 and attends Pima Community College. Dr. Spaders son, Nico, is 13 and hopes to play soccer for the University of Arizona. His youngest daughter, Olivia, is 7 and is always the first to suggest a weekend trip to San Diego. As a family, they enjoy being outdoors, fishing, cooking, hiking and going to the beach.
Cynthia was born and raised in Chicago and have been living in Tucson for about 1.5 years now. She is a Certified Dental Assistant in Illinois. Cynthia been married for 7 years, she has 2 daughters, a son, and a baby on the way. She also has a Terrier fur baby, Sugar. In her free time, she enjoys writing, painting, and exploring the outdoors. Fun fact: I love to play video games and at one point in my life I was able to breakdance, I can't do that anymore.
Veronica was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute. She also has a 17 year old son and 2 big lap dogs! In her free time, Veronica is working to check things off her bucket list. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. Fun fact: I have to color coordinate my candy!
Elizabeth was born in California and lived in Tucson for 5 years since moving back. She has her Dental Assistant Certificate. Elizabeths family consists of her mom, stepdad, 2 sisters, 2 cats & 2 dogs (German shepherd mix & chihuahua mix w/Pomeranian)! In her free time she enjoys shopping, her makeup, and cleaning! Fun fact: I love getting tattoos!
Chelsea is a native Arizonan, who earned her Dental Hygiene degree at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. She has been happily married for 11yrs, and has a 3 year old son. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, baking and tabletop games.
Sarah is a Tucson native! She has her Bachelors of Science from the University of Arizona, and an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College. Sarah has one child, Ethan, and 3 dogs. In her free time she enjoys trail running, biking, and obstacle course races. Fun fact: I am a member of the Southern Arizona Search and Rescue Team.
I enjoy spending time with my two dogs. Saturday evenings are spent volunteering with the Childrens Ministry at our church (4 year old). I like to spend time outdoors walking, gardening and hanging out with my husband.
Jessica was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. She graduated from Pima Medical Institute. Jessica is married with 3 kids, a 15 year old girl and 2 boys ages 4 and 9, and has an 11 year old Maltepoo. In her free time, Jessica enjoys exercising! Fun fact: My birthday is on Christmas!

So this was my first appointment at TDS and I must say from the from the very first hello, I felt welcomed. What really sealed the deal was that Dr. Spader did not try to push me into getting any dental work and that was a "breath of fresh air" to say the least. He explained what needed to be done and then we talked about what I wanted to be done. Gotta love that. Looking forward to watching my new smile unfold with TDS.

I could not have asked for better service. My original appointment was for August 17 but they called me the day after I went for a consultation and said they had an opening and I went and I got taken care of and my infection was taken out and I am just so excited to have somebody that really cares for you everybody in the office was wonderful so I appreciate this dental studio thank you so much.

Everyone at Tucson Dental Studio is friendly and professional. The people at the front desk are always welcoming. Both hygienists I've seen do a great job of being thorough without any pain, and both are great at teaching techniques that will aid in continued--and improved--oral health. And Dr. Spader is super-conscientious and caring, even when I continue to grind my teeth! It's nice to have a team that is supportive and not punitive, which is sometimes what people experience at the dentist's office!
