I graduated from Howard University School of Dentistry in 2004 and we built Tucker Family Dentistry in 2007. I have been a member of several professional organizations, including Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Capital Area Dental Society. I also volunteer at several local and national organizations like Samaritan Health Ministries, Austin Disaster Relief Network and the Boy Scouts of America. I enjoy these opportunities to give back to the people that have so richly blessed my family.
We understand that choosing a dentist is an important and difficult decision for many people and we thank you for your interest in Tucker Family Dentistry. Our aim is that each patient feels that his health and wishes are important to my staff and me. Every decision is based on the premise that the quality of your life is the most important factor. To that end we have chosen technology that reduces your paperwork and the time a dental visit requires as well as being safer for both the patient and the environment. In building our office we were mindful of the most common complaints I have heard in my past practice. We have a relaxed, friendly setting, quieter equipment, television screens for education and entertainment at every chair, and we offer two levels of conscious sedation. My staff will treat every person with respect and I will provide the highest quality of work with the minimum of discomfort.
Brittney has been a dental assistant for over 20 years and has been with Tucker Family Dentistry since 2011. Brittney likes to meet patients and make sure they are comfortable. In her free time, she enjoys cross stitching, reading, travel, and scuba diving. Brittney values time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren.
My love for dentistry developed as a child, thanks to an amazing dentist I had growing up in Argentina. I moved to the US from Argentina when I was 15 years old. After assisting for two years, I decided to go back to school and become a dental hygienist. I graduated from Austin Community College and have loved every minute of my job. My goal is to help my patients with their dental needs and improve their overall health. I want them to know I care and will do my best to make them feel comfortable.
Ellie has been a dedicated employee since 2008. She has a knack for numbers and organization which is why she works behind the scenes as our accounts specialist. Ellie is trilingual, speaking English, Spanish, and the Ecuadorian indigenous language of Quichua. She dedicates her free time doing volunteer work for the Quichua speaking community. Since she is a world traveler, and currently resides in NY, we are blessed to have Ellie in the office only for a few weeks each year.
Lacy has been with Tucker Family Dentistry since it opened its doors in 2007. She is a dental assistant and enjoys working with all kinds of patients. She is very good with the kids! She can enter a room with a child who is uncomfortable and, by the time she leaves the room, the child wants to come back to the dentist. When Lacy is not at work she is hanging out with her family, teaching kids at church, and meeting new folks in Austin.You will usually see Lacy smiling around the officesmile back.
Since 2017, Shannon has been one of the first smiling faces youll see when you arrive. She graduated from Everest College, top of her class as valedictorian! She is very passionate about dentistry and enjoys assisting chair side and at the front desk. When Shannon isnt working, she enjoys coaching her kids in all of their various team sports. They play them all!
