Dr. James Kimwas born in Taegu, South Korea. When he was two months old his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.Dr. Kimhas always enjoyed working with his hands, and as a teenager his hobbies included building model airplanes and origami, the Asian art of folding paper. His dream of becoming adentistwas born when, as a high school student, he visited a friends fathers practice and saw the positive impactdentistrymade in peoples lives.Dentistry, he decided, was right down his alley, allowing him to exercise his technical skill while helping others.
Dr. Kimcompleted his Bachelors Degree in Biology at Emory University in 1992, continuing on to Temple University School of Dentistryto attain his DMD Degree in 1996. He continues to expand his education within his field, not only out of a commitment to excellent care, but also out of a true passion for the practice of dentistry. Recent additions to his services includeSix Month Smilesaccelerated orthodontics,Invisalignclear braces, and minimally invasive, scalpel-free laser surgery withPerioLase. He considers dentistry his true calling in life, and takes great pride in providing gentle, qualitydental careand developing long-lasting relationships with his patients.
He and his wife, Jennifer, live inTucker,Georgia, whereDr. Kimhas been practicing family andcosmetic dentistrysince 1997.Dentistry has proven to be the challenging and rewarding career he always wanted, and he couldnt imagine a better place to practice: when he moved toTucker, he says, it felt like home. The Kims love serving and being a part of the Tucker community. In his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, two sons, Dylan and Ryan, and daughter, Julianne.

Extremely pleasant, competent and professional. They were able to clearly show issues by xray as well as formulate a plan. There were no hidden surprises, able to give me the breakdown of charges and anticipated insurance coverage. Best of all Dr. Kim has a wonderful sense of humor, and gentle touch.

Dr Kim, DMD office has served me well since starting my dental needs with his office. The office contacted me several times to get my appointment moved up. Front office staff is very friendly and helpful. When it came to my treatment plan, Dr Kim and staff is very thorough when it comes down to what is needed and how my insurance will pay. Katie, my hygienist was so gentle and thorough. I don't hate coming to the dentist now that I have a dental office that works efficiently and with care.

Loved visiting Dr. Kim! I had the same dentist for over 17 years, so I was hesitant to switch to a new one as I've had some bad experiences in the past. But Dr. Kim is amazing! So nice, fun and personable, but also very knowledgeable and professional. I really liked that the exam room had a TV in the corner to distract and look at during the appointment. Lisa, who cleaned my teeth, was very gentle but also thorough and also very friendly. The best dental experience I've had!

Dr Kym, has a wonderful team. They're customer service friendly and always give a smile. An overall great, office staff. The awesome hygienist Lisa, is amazing. No waiting! What a relief. I'm usually anxious about probing, poking, things in my mouth, e.i; pain? Well, my dental cleaning felt really good, the doc was great. Took time to tell me my options, looked me in the eyes, pondered my questions and was very thorough. I could tell he was also observing me that I was understanding everything. He's a keeper.
