Here at Tualatin Pediatric Dentistry, we are proud to specialize in pediatric dentistry. We truly believe in starting children off right when it comes to their dental health. It is our goal to ensure that each visit goes well so that they think of the dentists office as a good place. Our entire staff is wonderful with children, allowing them to relax while we care for their teeth.
Our dentists and staff have received extra training for primary teeth. Our goal is to protect your childrens teeth so they can eat and speak correctly. We will do whatever we can to help your children have the bright smiles they deserve.
Dr. Lisa Yarborough (Dr. Lisa) was raised in the greater Seattle area and graduated dental school from the University of Washington. After dental school, she completed a General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Washington, which provided extensive training in anesthesia, oral surgery, hospital dentistry and pediatric dentistry. After the GPR, she moved to Portland and completed her fellowship and residency training in Pediatric Dentistry at OHSU.
When not in private practice in Tualatin, Dr. Yarborough is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at OHSU and Doernbecher Childrens Hospital Pediatric Dental Surgery Clinic. Doernbechers Pediatric Dental Surgery Clinic specializes in providing dental care for children and adolescents with special needs.

Born and raised in Michigan, Dr. Ski attended the University of Michigan School of Dentistry to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After two years of practice as a general dentist, she went on to complete a two and a half year residency in pediatric dentistry and Master of Science degree in 2009, also from the University of Michigan. She decided to leave behind the Great Lakes eight years ago to venture to the Pacific Northwest and make Portland her permanent home with her husband and two young sons. She continues to explore all that Oregon has to offer, especially the phenomenal food and craft industry. Running in the Hood to Coast race is now a yearly tradition to help stay in shape after all this great food!
Dr. Ski has a special interest in infant oral health and early preventive dental care. She believes the foundation for a positive lifelong dental experience can be built through personalized education with a whole-body approach for each unique child. She appreciates the time it takes to build these lasting relationships with our families and looks forward to each visit!

Our two boys (9 & 6) been going to Dr. Lisa Yarborough for about a year now and are very pleased with our experience there. Great staff and nice facilities.

I just recently brought my 2 year old daughter in for her 1st dental appointment. I was very impressed with how pleasant and professional everyone was. My daughter has some sensory issues (coupled with acid reflux and issues with eating and swallowing.) Dr. Lisa (and her assistant) were fantastic! Dr. Lisa took ample time to have a comprehensive discussion with me regarding my daughter's complex health history and my personal concerns. I felt as though everyone genuinely had my daughter's best interest at heart and trust in the care that was provided. I look forward to this practice being my daughter's new dental home!

I had orthodontic work done but had two small teeth in the front that looked strange. Dr. Yarborough worked closely with my orthodontist during the course of my treatment, and then bonded my teeth. No more funny looking small teeth. She built them up, and they look so natural. My smile looks GREAT!

I received a frantic text from a friend at 9:30pm the night before the first day of school. Her daughter had just fallen and broken a permanent front tooth; their dentist was out of town for the next several days. I assured my friend that I knew someone who could help. Despite the office being closed the next day, Dr. Yarborough and her staff came in on their day off to repair the tooth and save the day. This is a team that goes above and beyond. I am so grateful for their compassion and generosity.

I called to schedule initial appointments for my two three year old children, and they refused to schedule my appointment because my children have ODS through the state, and they denied to even schedule an appointment. When I offered to pay cash up front, they STILL refused to schedule, saying that they do not accept cash. Makes me wonder if it is even legal to deny cash payments up front for visits?
