Dr. Tso believes in continually improving himself and stays up-to-date on the best treatment methods. Dentistry is advancing rapidly with new technology constantly available. He has been at the forefront in dental implant restoration since he was a resident in prosthodontics at UCLA in the late 1980's and has actively taught new residents in restoring implants, treating maxillofacial defects, and advanced aesthetics ever since.
Dr. Tso has been an assistant professor at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry as well as the Loma School of Dentistry and was the maxillofacial and implant prosthodontic staff consultant to the USC Medical Center, King/Drew Medical Center, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and the craniofacial team at Orthopedic Hospital. He is currently still teaching hospital and prosthodontic dentistry at Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center and Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Tso's passion is helping patients and treating them like family. He takes time to explain all treatment options to his patients and gives his honest opinion on longevity and expectations. If no treatment is necessary, Dr. Tso is more than happy to say so, saving both himself and his patients time and money. Dr. Tso has been practicing maxillofacial prosthodontic dentistry since 1989 and he has been at his current location in South Pasadena since 1994. He is an expert in all phases of restorative dentistry and maintains a stellar reputation. He has been voted in the first annual 2014 Southern California Super Dentists list by his peers and Los Angeles Magazine ever since. Dr. Tso has also been included in America's Top Dentists every year since 2013, in America's Best Dentists in 2017, and by Super Dentists annually since 2015.
Dr. Tso's interests include photography, cycling, old cars, cooking (especially barbecuing), growing orchids, and everything related with raising a family. He and his wife Rebecca are proud parents of three sons and a daughter.

I have severe anxiety about dentists and Dr. Tso is the only one I trust and will go to, he's so understanding of my nerves and always keeps me calm and distracted (and usually laughing!) He's made going to the dentist a way less stressful experience and I literally refuse to ever see anyone else. I feel so lucky to have him!

You would be hard-pressed to find a better dentist than Dr. Tso. He's highly-skilled (can't stress that part enough), honest, friendly, funny, and wants you to be happy with your teeth and comfortable visiting a dentist. The same applies to his staff. You won't be rushed through an appointment, guilt-tripped by anyone or pressured into buying anything. If you want an excellent and trustworthy dentist (and who doesn't?), Dr. Tso is your guy.

Dr. Tso is the best dentist I've ever had. I wish I could had him longer but unfortunately I had to move out of state. There are so many dentists out there that just try to steal money from you by telling you that you have all these problems. I had a dentist like that telling me I needed 6000 of work done to my teeth. I went to Dr. Tso for a second opinion and he told me the contrary. My teeth were fine. He is honest, kind, personable and trustworthy. I felt very comfortable with him and I loved his down to earth advice he had for me in regards to taking care of my teeth. He never tried to sell me anything and I never felt pushed into anything. He also has a beautiful office and he takes his time with you. He also does the cleanings himself which is an absolute rarity. Thank you Dr. Tso.

My regular dentist sent me to Dr. Tso after I had a surgery to remove some teeth and palat for a tumor. I could not speak or eat after the surgery because I had a missing roof ot the mouth. Dr. Tso immediately made me a palat and I could speak and swallow again. He soon made a device with teeth and now I look great again, the teeth are better than before the surgery. He is the ONLY dentist that can treat difficult problems and he saved the quality of my life. His office assistants are nice and friendly, and Dr. Tso answered all my questions so that I could understand it and he treats me with kindness. I can not recommend any dentist more highly....he's a real pro and a very special person.

I was referred by my ear nose and throat doc from USC after my previous dentist told me I needed all my teeth capped because I had too many fillings, he was suspicious about that and wanted me to get a second opinion. Dr Tso was able to fill a few teeth and told me I didn't have to cap all the teeth, it would be cutting the teeth down for no reason. I am glad that Dr Tso is an ethical and was able to stop me from wasting a lot of money with the other dentist in Alhambra. The office staff is friendly and the experience is super. I highly recommend Dr Tso, my family now goes to him for their dental work.
