Dr. Marat Tselnik received his dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2000. After working in the Bay Area as a general dentist, Dr. Tselnik moved to Portland to attend post graduate studies at the Oregon Health and Science University. In 2005 he successfully completed a Fellowship and subsequent residency in Endodontics. As part of his commitment to continuing professional growth, Dr. Tselnik attained the high honor of Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, an honor bestowed upon a select few endodontists in Oregon. In addition to treating patients in his private practice, Dr. Tselnik shares his extensive knowledge and expertise with dental students and endodontic residents as an assistant professor at the OHSU School of Dentistry.
Apart from enjoying his work, Dr. Tselnik loves spending time with his wonderful wife Christina, who is also a dental educator. They like cooking, traveling, scuba diving and experiencing life in Portland with their twin boys Samuel and Ezra.

I didn't know what to expect when referred for a "root canal." Dr. Tselnik explained the problem with my cracked molar, and treatment options. I went ahead with the root canal, rather than an extraction. All went well, the tooth was saved. The procedure was literally painless, I was back to work the next day, and off Ibuprofen after two days. Dr. Tselnik is accomplished in his field, and his staff are professional and experienced. Hard for me to imagine a better outcome. Highly recommended.

I have had two root canals done by Dr.Marat. Both were a success In fact each time I felt no after pain. If you need this treatment He is your man!

Dr. Tselnik is THE BEST! After a very bad experience elsewhere with my root canal I was referred to Dr. Tselnik to do another root canal on the same tooth that was not properly done by a previous dentist. Dr. Tselnik and the entire staff at Access Endodontics made me feel at ease the second I walked through the door. Dr explained everything so I understood exactly what was going on and what he was going to do fix it. He is quick and proficient. He saved my tooth and took away the pain! Dr. Tselnik will have my highest recommendation forever.

The most painful part of going to the dentist has always been getting the shots of anesthetic. With Dr. Tselnik, I didn't feel a thing. Amazing. And when I had a secondary infection after my first appointment, he was easy to get a hold of and he was quick to send in a prescription for antibiotics and anti inflamatories. I enjoyed getting to know him and his staff. (Learned a bit about classic rock to boot.)

Each member of the staff at Access Endodontics is incredible! They are professional, efficient and so very kind... as is Dr. Tselnik. My root canal was quick, painless and dare I say, entertaining. Dr. Tselnik kept me at ease and informed through the procedure and we had a great one sided conversation :) The office also followed up with me the next day to make sure I was doing well. If only every appointment in life was this easy!

Have you read all these reviews? I agree with them all and could only add more of the same. One omission from all these reviews; the good doctor has music on speaker and just before my root canal started a song familiar to us both came on and we both tuned in like a couple sick cows. Oh! the root canal; like all the others herein; came out perfect. Fact is, I fell asleep during the procedure, does that tell you anything? Yeh! back at you, LOL,

The staff and Dr. Tselnik took care of my root canal in the best of ways. Everyone in the office was friendly and made the experience as positive as it could be under the circumstances. One call and they were able to accommodate me right away on a Friday and the root canal was done on Monday. Thank you, thank you!

Visiting the dentist is never fun, and having to have a root canal makes it worse, but Dr. Tselnik and everyone at his office made the process practically painless! I highly recommend this office should you need Endodontic work done.
