Dr. Nancy A. Gafford is a native of Greenville, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Biology. She subsequently attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in Birmingham and received her D.M.D degree and license in 1986 and accepted a residency position at the VA Medical Center which provided her with invaluable experience in all facets of general dentistry in a hospital setting at both the Birmingham and Tuscaloosa campuses. In 1987, Dr. Gafford began private practice with the purchase of Roebuck Dental Center and in 2000, moved her practice to its current location and was established as Trussville Dentistry, P.C.
Dr.Gafford always knew she wanted to be in a health related field but not until after going through orthodontic treatment for the second time did dentistry catch her interest. She says it was the demeanor of her dentist and the camaraderie of his entire office as well as the craft and skill involved that allowed dentistry to emerge as the career path she would take.
She believes that the patient 's knowledge of the procedure and their input throughout the duration of treatment is critical to its success and therefore spends appropriate time with each patient to ensure that they are well informed. Working within all ranges of patients ' budgets is a key factor. 'I try to make sure all options are presented to the patient then we can work together on the option that best suit their particular circumstances.'
Vicki is the Office Manager at Trussville Dentistry. She is responsible for scheduling patients and coordinating treatment plans, insurance matters and billing. She has been with Dr. Gafford since 1995. She graduated from Fultondale High School and attended The University of Alabama in Birmingham. Vicki is married, has two sons, and enjoys all sporting events. She loves spending quality time with family and friends.
We are so fortunate to have Bene join our team! She has over 30 years of experience in dentistry and is ready to help you maintain your dental health, give you pointers to improve your home care, and make your visit comfortable and pleasant. Bene has a great personality and is a wonderful addition to Trussville Dentistry!
Cheryl has 'been our go to sub' for many years and now she is here full time! She 's been in dentistry since 1983 and is still loving it! Experience is definitely what you want in a hygienist and we are proud to have her on our team. In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys traveling, camping, horseback riding and is lucky enough to have a husband who loves to cook!
Joining us in 2019, Elizabeth is an excellent assistant to Dr. Gafford and received her formal training through Wallace State Community College. She may be the youngest member of our team, but shes loaded with talent and is currently furthering her dental education to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. Elizabeth is married and has a young son. She enjoys family and friend time and is a welcome addition to Trussville Dentistry.

I absolutely love Trussville Dentistry> The staff is super friendly and Dr Gafford is wonderful especially with my son who has Asperger's Syndrome. They always fit us in when it's an emergency and work with our insurance.

Great dentist. Staff is wonderful. Loved The hygienist, BeNan (no idea how she spells her name). She was great and fast. Front staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr Gafford won't do work unless it's needed and she is a perfectionist when she does.
