Dr. Trulove completed his undergraduate study at the University of Alabama in 1983. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in Birmingham in 1987 where he was a recipient of the Deans Medal which is the highest award given to a graduating dental student.
Dr. Trulove was invited into the practice of Dr. Grady Price in Montgomery in 1989. Dr. Price served as his mentor during their many years of practice together and he introduced Dr. Trulove to many opportunities for leadership in the orthodontic community. Dr. Trulove has had the privilege to represent and hold all officer positions in his local Second District Dental Society, the Alabama Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and most recently the prestigious Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Trulove has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at UAB since 1998. His service as a teacher allows him to keep abreast of the latest innovations in the field of orthodontics to better serve his own patients needs.

I could not have chosen a better orthodontist. Dr. Trulove discovered the root cause of severe headaches that I had endured for over two years, and was instrumental in resolving that issue and correcting the damage done to my teeth as a result of that issue. I received the best of care for over three years. I never expected to have to wear braces in my 60's, but he made the experience easier than I could have ever imagined. Dr, Tim Trulove and his staff have always been kind, respectful, and caring. I highly recommend Trulove Orthondics.

Terrible experience with this Orthodontist. Our son was referred there by his dentist to have a dead tooth pulled and have the gap closed by the use of braces. During the course of the three years our son was in braces, the office apparently lost his original treatment plan. By the time we started asking questions about it, we were essentially told it was too far along to do the procedure. Complete waste of money as our son didn't even need the braces if he wasn't going to have the corrective procedure done. So now we've paid for braces we didn't need and we still have the problematic tooth that we originally went in to have fixed. Be very wary of this office and be sure you get a copy of the original treatment plan up front during your initial consultation.
