Dr. Trulove completed his undergraduate study at the University of Alabama in 1983. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University Of Alabama School Of Dentistry in Birmingham in 1987 where he was a recipient of the Deans Medal which is the highest award given to a graduating dental student.
Dr. Trulove was invited into the practice of Dr. Grady Price in Montgomery in 1989. Dr. Price served as his mentor during their many years of practice together and he introduced Dr. Trulove to many opportunities for leadership in the orthodontic community. Dr. Trulove has had the privilege to represent and hold all officer positions in his local Second District Dental Society, the Alabama Association of Orthodontists and the Southern Association of Orthodontists, and most recently the prestigious Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Trulove has served as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry at UAB since 1998. His service as a teacher allows him to keep abreast of the latest innovations in the field of orthodontics to better serve his own patients needs.

Dr. Trulove and staff are amazing! This was our 2nd opinion after being told by 1st Dr. that my 14 year old son really didn't need braces, it's more of a social thing these days, even though he was referred to to see an Orthodontist by his Dentist. Dr. Trulove explained in detail exactly why my son needed braces, even says to me, "come here mom and let me show you" while my son is laid back with his mouth wide open. I was sold at that point and knew we were exactly where we needed to be. My son love him and his staff!

I have been coming to this dr since my daughter was 9. I now use him since November 2021. The staff is always nice and very professional. Hope Blanton is so nice. When I had my wreck she was very attentive to me and made sure I was comfortable and that nothing hurt cause I had a broke ankle and a boot on it and a broke wrist with a cast she and all the staff made sure I was well taken care of. I love each and every one of the staff but my favorite is Hope Blanton. She always has a smile and makes me feel so relaxed and very welcome. I always feel like I'm the only patient when the office is full of patients. Love love love her and Dr.Truelove.

Oh my gosh let me start off by saying I love this place. I've had my braces for 2 years and every visit has been fast past and friendly . My favorite at the desk is Ms.Betty she loves to laugh and my favorite in the back is Leslie . They are affordable as well and I see a drastic change in my smile. I get them taken off next week I'm so excited.
