Daniel Cohen D.D.S. is the founder and primary dental care provider at True Dental Care. Daniel graduated from NYU College of Dentistry and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and is certified as a general dentist. His approach is to put the person before the smile. He believes that if you serve people with thoughtful and gentle care, people develop a healthier relationship with their oral health.
He has undergone extensive training to provide all dental services including tooth extractions, implants, root canal treatment, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. He is a certified Digital Smile Designer; a training and working philosophy of an elite group of advanced cosmetic dentists that use technology to deliver highly predictable smile makeover treatment. True Dental Care has the latest in 3D X-rays, virtual imaging, 3D printing, and laser tooth scanning. Daniel utilizes a light touch, a warm caring nature, and the latest in technology to deliver an incomparable experience.
Dr. Mila Cohen is a board-certified pediatric dentist. After many years in dental school and practicing in various practices, Dr. Mila and her husband Dr. Daniel Cohen, a general dentist, founded True Dental Care in Jersey City.
Dr. Mila was once a young and fearful patient herself this has directed her passion to create a friendly, warm and enjoyable experience for her patients. Dr. Mila Cohen has dedicated her professional career to tending to the specific needs both the child and parent have when visiting the dentist.
As a parent herself, Dr. Mila understands the importance of choosing the right dentistry center for your child and considers it a privilege to deliver dental care to kids of all ages. When not in the office, Dr. Mila enjoys spending quality time with Dr. Dan and their two kids going on hikes, bike rides, and even some camping.
Dr. Penner was born and raised in Marlboro, NJ. Following his graduation from Colts Neck High School, he went to the University of Wisconsin to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then pursued his dental education at the University of Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, where he received his doctorate. Matthew completed a year of General Practice Residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center where he received advanced training in restorative and surgical dentistry. Matthew is passionate about community service and has been on outreach trips to several states as well as Jamaica to provide dental care to underserved populations. When Matthew is not busy practicing dentistry he enjoys traveling, golfing, and attending concerts and sporting events.

Dr Yaz is hands down the most caring and compassionate dentist I have ever been to. I have major anxiety and pain attacks when going to the dentist , Dr yaz and the hygienist 12/10 they both knew exactly what to say and do so I wouldn't have an episode

What a suuuper impressive dental practice!! The team were all so nice, I had an awesome dental cleaning (not painful at all), exam, x-rays, and eval by the doctor. Watched Seinfeld on the ceiling TV. I was checked in on-time, appointment moved quickly but I never felt rushed. Online paperwork in advance. Honestly couldn't give higher praise for True Dental Care

Going to the Dentist is my least favorite thing to do. Dr Dan was true to his promise of no pain, I had a molar tooth extraction and within few minutes he shook my hand and said it was done, I was shocked coz I was waiting for the pull of tooth but did not feel a thing. The staff at this dental office was wonderful and friendly, gave me all the options financially that works with my budget. I'm looking forward for my next appointment...ty True Dental Care

I've been to True Dental Care twice now, once for a cleaning and a second time to have some cavities filled. I really feel like my visits have been so much more thorough than my previous dentist visits in other practices (mostly in Manhattan or Brooklyn). I also really appreciate how the office runs on time. I was seen within a few minutes of my arrival both times. The office is still somewhat under construction in places, but still feels clean and orderly.

This is an amazing gem in dental care for children and adults alike. I have three children ~ one with special needs ~ and all three of them were treated with so much care and professionalism by True Dental's team, that I decided to switch dentists myself. I was thrilled with the work of Dr. Yaz: he truly performed a miracle on my complicated condition and now I'm thrilled to be in my way back to health. So glad we found a dentist office for our entire family. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I brought my son here and the female owner is completely rude, belittling, and full of herself. I saw her speak down to staff several times during my son's visit. Money hungry practice that does not care about patients or staff. I do not appreciate the entitlement and ego and will never bring my son here again. Please look elsewhere for a dentist that puts patient care first verses themselves.

I had a wonderful experience with True Dental Care. Dr.Yaz and the staff are always helpful and kind. They kept me well informed about my treatment plan and made me feel comfortable through the whole process. My daughter has been a patient of Dr.Mila on the pediatric end and has had such a great experience, so I knew I would be in great hands with the practice. I would definitely recommend the practice to my family and friends seeking exceptional dental care.

My fear of dental work and previous-not so great experiences at the dentist have kept me away for some time. I decided to schedule an appointment at True Dental and I'm so glad that I did. Dr. Yaz is amazing!! He is so patient and caring. He allows me the time that I need to feel comfortable which is awesome since I am always super anxious when I walk in there. I am so happy that I finally found a dentist I feel listens to me and has helped me to work through my fears and challenges. He is GREAT!! everyone in that office is really nice,kind and caring. :)

I would NEVER recommend this dentist due to their exorbitant pricing (which presumably is to fund the repair of their atrocious office). The staff is nice enough, but I don't appreciate their dishonesty, as they claimed their pricing was lower than others. Over $4k for a root canal and crown is not reasonable pricing, it's an attempt at extortion.
