Rhonda R. Pruitt, D.M.D. is a 1994 graduate of Grambling State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. In 1999, Dr. Pruitt received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During her senior year, she was selected to participate in the CODE (Community Orientated Dental Education) program. This program allowed Dr. Pruitt a chance to fulfill her desire to give back to an underserved community by providing quality dental care. Also, while in dental school, she participated in an externship at Louisiana State University and Charity Hospital, both located in New Orleans, Louisiana.
In 2000, Dr. Pruitt completed a general practice dental residency at the University of Mississippi Health Science Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She received extensive training in the treatment of dental emergencies, head and neck trauma, oral surgery, root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry and other aspects of general dentistry.
Before relocating to the Grambling/Ruston area, Dr. Pruitt served five years as staff dentist at the David Raines Community Health Center in both Shreveport and Gilliam, Louisiana. During these five years, she also served as staff dentist at the Caddo Correctional Center and adjunct professor in the College of Allied Health at Southern University Shreveport.
She has been very active in her local community. Dr. Pruitt has provided dental services to the inmates at the Winn Correctional Facility. She is also an active member of the Ruston/Lincoln Parish Chamber of Commerce, the Grambling Chamber of Commerce, and Epsilon Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Dr. Pruitt continues to expand her education through continuing dental education courses. She is also currently a member of the Louisiana Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, and the Northeast Louisiana Dental Association.

By far one of, if not the best dental experience. Had a broken tooth that got infected. Doctor Pruitt got it right out. Professional staff, very kind. Can't say enough.

The staff are kind knowledgeable and great. I have a son with developmental and cognitive delays. This is the only dentist office I will come to for my son's dental needs. The staff works great to comfort each patients concerns. From my opinion this is the best dentist office for my family. Not because I've tried them for myself. I encourage if you are looking for a dentist please give True Care Dental a try.

I started receiving dental work my freshman year of college. And 1 year later, I still receive the consistent positive energy & hospitality. Great staff from the secretary to the dental assistants. Highly recommend True Care for anybody.

This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had going to the dentist. The wait time is hours every time we went. The staff were not friendly and very rude. They did not make it kid friendly for my children. We no longer go to this Dental facility.

TERRIBLE PLACE!! receptionist is Unorganized , she asked if she could call me back because she was working by herself which she NEVER DID !! I had to call back on my own . They accept walk ins at 7:50 but , they still make you wait until after scheduled appointments ...... People are literally being seen before me . another walk in who signed in after me has been seen before and I'm in terrible pain .. WALK INS are pointless ... I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN !!!!
