As a child of a dentist, many of Dr. Masha Mortzavis best memories from childhood took place in her mothers office as she watched her for hours, in awe, while she tried to create beautiful smiles. Dr. Mortazavi knew that she wanted to do the same. Making people happy by creating bright smiles is her dream and orthodontics is the best path to catch this dream. After receiving her DDS, Dr Mahsa Mortazavi completed her orthodontic residency and passed her Board of Orthodontics with honors. After working as a faculty member at university and private practice she joined the Craniofacial lab at University of the Pacific in San Francisco as a research fellow. Once the fellowship was completed, she began her orthodontic residency at University of the Pacific and graduated with her second Certificate of Orthodontics and Masters of Dentistry.

Dr. Mortazavi is interested in evidence-based dentistry and its integration with new techniques in orthodontics and has more than 10 scientific papers, including systematic reviews in the subjects of Invisalign, Orthognathic surgeries, and cleft lip and palate treatments. Upon completion of her one-year research fellowship in craniofacial lab at University of the Pacific where she worked on several projects related to etiology, prevention and treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate, her research results were presented in national and international conferences such as World Congress of International Cleft Lip and Palate foundation in Germany. She volunteered as a member of the Cleft Lip and Palate team which is responsible for treatment of patients with cleft lip and palate from birth to adulthood. Additionally, Dr. Ding has finished an Aligner Intensive Fellowship program focused primarily on clear aligner therapy.

Dr. Ding is passionate about orthodontics because it is a mental challenge to get all the teeth to fit into the right spaces, much like solving a puzzle. I am so pleased with the care received by Tru Orthodontics. I am in my 50's and just wanted to do something for myself. Everyone from the front desk, to the dental hygienists, to Dr. Sharif himself made me feel comfortable and put me at ease. He took the time to find out about me to help me choose the right option for me. Everyone is so helpful and fun that it makes you feel good. I can't wait to see the results!
