Dr. Helmi's philosophy is to provide the highest quality of care with minimally invasive techniques with a focus on preventive treatment. She believes in treating every patient as family, with compassion and with their best interest in mind. Her treatment planning methods are centered on patient's specific needs and desires. And her ultimate goal is to provide her patients with a better quality of life by giving them the ability to comfortably eat the foods they love or to smile with more confidence.
Dr. Helmi believes in giving, volunteering and providing for the community. Her favorite quote is: As we work to create light for others, we naturally light our own way.. She has volunteered her medical expertise as part of a dental mission trip in Honduras to provide free dental care to those in need. And Strives to be an active member of her community here in Illinois.
Dr. Helmi received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Prior to Dental School she attended York University where she honored her studies in the field of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
Since then, Dr. Helmi is continually expanding her education to keep up with the highest advancements in the field of dentistry. She believes, armed with knowledge and intentionality she can improve patient experience and clinical quality.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Helmi enjoys spending time with family and friends. She actively participates in running half-marathons and stair climb challenges. She enjoys reading, yoga, and is a huge swim enthusiast. Her future sport goal is to complete a triathlon.
