Dr. Renee Trujillo is almost a New Mexico native. She was born in Colorado, but grew up in the north valley of Las Cruces. From her early teenage years, visiting the orthodontist every few weeks, she knew that dentistry was what she wanted to pursue. She graduated from Mayfield High School and received her Bachelor degree of Dental Hygiene from UNM. She graduated in 2001 from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. Dr. Trujillo was awarded the Mishka award upon graduation for excellence in clinical, ethical and compassionate service. After returning to Las Cruces, Dr. Trujillo served the dental community in public health for five years before moving on to private practice. She has now been in private practice since 2006 and in the dental field since 1994. She has continued her dental education and training with The Dawson Academy, The Pankey Institute, The Schuster Center for Professional Development, and ACT. She is a member of the American Dental Association, New Mexico Dental Association, Southwest District Dental Society, and Organ Mountain Study Club. She is a past board member of the New Mexico Dental Association Foundation, and participates with Donated Dental Services, and the New Mexico Cleft Palate Clinic. She has also participated in every New Mexico Mission of Mercy event throughout the state. When Dr. Trujillo is not at the office, she enjoys relaxing with her husband, step-kids, and miniature dachshund, Maya. They all enjoy fishing, camping, and traveling with family, and she also likes checking out estate sales on the weekends.
Rosie is our lead dental hygienist. She is a Las Cruces native, and a graduate of Las Cruces High School. Initially Rosie planned to go to art school, but after observing in a dental office, she fell in love with the dental profession and knew this was how she wanted to be of service to others. She graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in dental hygiene, was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, and was UNMs first recipient of the Golden Scaler Award for her exemplary clinical skills. Rosie has over 20 years of experience as a dental hygienist and holds licenses in New Mexico and Arizona where she practiced for about 10 years before moving back to the Land of Enchantment. She has a passion for dental care and treats patients like family. Rosie has experience with salivary diagnostics and she is laser certified to help provide the best quality of care to our patients. We are so lucky to have her on our team. Outside the office, Rosie loves to spend time with her two bright and beautiful daughters who keep her busy with volleyball, dance, and cheerleading. She also enjoys fishing, road trips, and spending time with family and friends.
Alaine is our amazing dental assistant. She was born in the Philippines, but raised in Alamogordo, NM. She became interested in the dental field during her sophomore year of high school while participating in clinical rotations for medical technology. Alaine moved to Las Cruces in 2015 to complete her Bachelor Degree in Biology at NMSU. During her time at NMSU, she became involved in the pre-dental society and has participated in pre-dental courses at Midwestern University in Arizona, and UCLA. Her interest in dentistry allowed her an opportunity to become an outstanding dental assistant, and she aspires to continue her education to someday become a dental hygienist and possibly even a dentist! She is an awesome assistant with our patients and is such a happy and positive team member. She has such passion to help people that she has even devoted her time outside the office for the last few years by volunteering at Mission of Mercy events. Outside the office, Alaine enjoys spending time with her daughter, listening to reggae music and planning her next vacation to California to visit her family. She likes to try new recipes in the kitchen and her dream vacation would be relaxing by the ocean.
Jennifer is one of our amazing dental assistants! She was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM and is a graduate of Onate High School. Go Knights! She became interested in the dental field after observing at a dental office and fell in love with the opportunity to help others in this healthcare setting. Jennifer got her dental assisting certificate from Dona Ana Community College and is always eager to help our patients feel comfortable during their visit to our office. She keeps us smiling and is always excited to see new faces in our office!
Sharie, RDH is one of our awesome dental hygienists. She has over 30 years of experience in dental hygiene. Sharie was born in California and grew up in Santa Fe, NM. She became interested in the dental field after her orthodontist offered her a job. This was the beginning of her love of dentistry. She moved to Las Cruces to pursue a degree in Biology at NMSU and then transferred to UNM and graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Dental Hygiene. After completing her degree, Sharie returned to Las Cruces, got married, has three beautiful children, and has happily served the Las Cruces community as a dental hygienist. Sharie prides herself in providing thorough, professional, comfortable care with a caring heart.
Elizabeth is the latest addition to our group of hard-working dental assistants! Born and raised in Las Cruces, Elizabeth graduated from Rio Grande Prep HS and received her dental assisting certificate from Dona Ana Community College. She is very service-oriented and always strives to provide our patients with the highest quality care possible! When not at work, Elizabeth enjoys camping, off-roading in her ATV and spending time with family.

I initially came to Dr. Trujillo, a couple months ago, for a second opinion about a recomendation from my, then, current dentist. Renee took time just to chat about what I expected and needed, then I got the most thorough, personalized exam I've ever gotten from a dentist. She identified some issues my previous dentist had never caught. Renee took time to go over all the x-rays with me so I could see just what she was talking about. In addition to x-rays, they measured all the areas around my teeth for any pockets and identified several ..which I could see on the -rays. I received a treatment plan specifically tailored to my needs, with an emphasis on healing and then preventative care going forward. I began treatment immediately. I cannot recommended Dr. Trujillo, Rosie and the entire TRU Dental team highly enough... especially if you are looking for a family dentist and long term prevention!

I have been a patient of TRU Dental for the past few years. Dr Trujillo is just wonderful, she takes her time, explains everything so that it is clearly understandable, and is a gentle dentist. The staff at TRU Dental, is also a reflection of Dr Trujillo, kind, caring, and very patient oriented. The office looks as if they just moved in, very clean and inviting. I would highly recommend TRU Dental and Dr. Trujillo.

Dr. Trujillo and her staff are second to none. The ladies at this Dental Office are the best of the best. I'd like to acknowledge one special lady named Rosie, she is the Lead Dental Hygienist and she has the touch and hands of an angel. She turned what I anticipated to be a a miserable experience of a deep cleaning into a caring informative procedure that left me amazed. I have been a patient of Dr. Trujillo's for many years. I have received quality care from Dr. Trujillo and her staff. I would not go anywhere else. The ladies at the front desk are professional and welcoming. My husband recently went to see her and he feels the same way. I hope this dental practice is around for years to serve our community.

I greatly appreciate all of the precautions that Dr. Trujillo took due to COVID-19. I was nervous to go to my appointment during this pandemic but once I got there her team was very reassuring and obviously sanitized. Under normal circumstances her practice is already above expectations and even more so during these hard times. Thank you TRU Dental PC!!

I have given Dr Trujillo and her staff a 5 Star rating. If I had the option to give more stars I would have given her 10 stars. The minute you walk in the front door you know she has a very professional operation. Her staff in the front office is very knowledgeable and professional. Dr Trujillo's dental staff is top notch, courteous, extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Dr Trujillo is what I believe every dentist should be. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and very caring about your comfort level. She explains everything about your treatment plan and answers any and all questions you may have. I highly recommend Dr Trujillo to anyone who is looking for the best dental care in Las Cruces.
