Dr. Tuhina Roy, NJ Specialty Permit #06058 Dr. Roy loves being an orthodontist and combining art and science to create beautiful, lifelong smiles for her patients. Dr. Roy works very closely with her team of professionals and her patients to provide them with the best possible orthodontic care, and to keep them informed about each step of their treatment process. She wants to make sure that her patients feel comfortable with all aspects of their treatment. As a former orthodontic patient herself, she understands the need for patients to have their questions answered, and to be full team members in the orthodontic process.
Dr. Roy is a native of New Jersey. She was born in Denville, grew up in Hillsborough, and went to school in Somerville. She graduated in the top 10 of her class at Canisius College graduating Summa Cum Laude and the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine graduating Magna Cum Laude with Thesis Honors. She attended a General Practice Residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City giving where she gained experience in managing patients with complex medical presentations. She then completed her orthodontic residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee andis board eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). During her residency, Dr. Roy gained extensive experience in treating complex cleft lip and palate and dentofacial deformity cases. This included experience with cases requiring orthognathic surgery and treating sleep apnea.
Dr. Roy runs the leading practice in the area for surgical orthodontics. If you are researching orthognathic surgery plus comprehensive orthodontics for your treatment journey, Dr. Roy is the expert in the orthodontic side of this combination treatment and works with talented oral surgeons who complete hundreds of surgical cases a year.Dr. Roy takes her commitment to learning seriously and regularly participates in continuing education classes to stay on the cutting edge of orthodontics. She has received additional training in Invisalign, Wilckodontics and sleep apnea treatment. She has an eight year old daughter and a three year old son.
Dr. Roy is nearing a decade as an orthodontist in Little Falls and is happy to serve the towns of Little Falls, Totowa, and Woodland Park. Troy Orthodontics also serves the communities of Paterson, Clifton, Passaic, Fairfield and Wayne and welcomes patients from Lincoln Park, Caldwell, Cedar Grove and Montclair.
Dr. R. Shah is originally from Connecticut before she moved to New Jersey. She attended the University of Connecticut for undergrad, completed her DDS at Columbia University and her orthodontic residency from University of Rochester. She practiced in Buffalo, NY and Bridgeport, CT before joining us in Little Falls. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
Dr. Le Goff is from Clifton, New Jersey. She attended Seton Hall University for her undergraduate degree. She then attended Columbia University and completed her orthodontic residency from University of Rochester. She is board eligible for the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Dr. Le Goff is trilingual in English, Spanish and French.
Dr. Charmi Shah, DDS, NJ Dental License #27986 Dr. C. Shah is from Edison, New Jersey. She completed her undergrad and DMD degrees at Boston University. She returned to New Jersey to pursue her orthodontic certificate at Rutgers in Newark.
Florencia joined our team in 2017. She graduated from Passaic Valley High School and is currently enrolled in college to complete her degree in Business Administration. She solves insurance puzzles for our patients to help them obtain the most optimal benefits from their plans. Florencia is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Cynthia lived in Pennsylvania and New York City before settling with her family in New Jersey. She loves meeting all of our patients and welcoming them to their orthodontic journey. You will meet Cynthia at your first visit to our office as she assists our doctors in completing your orthodontic exam, reviewing your treatment options and answering any questions about finances including our in-office payment plan options. She attended a dental assisting program in New York so you will find her taking your photos and scans as well assisting our doctors with other clinical procedures. Cynthia is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Gladys has always lived in Passaic County and recently settle in Little Falls with her family. She is a graduate of Passaic High School and completed her training in Dental Assisting at the Fortis Institute. You will hear her friendly voice when you call our office and she is the one who responds to your text messages. Gladys is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Rayna is Dr. Roys daughter. She works behind the scenes shredding papers, stamping papers, and picking out the colors we stock for your braces experience. She loves to read and color. When shes not in school, she spends her time trying to perfect a cartwheel and avoid being chased by her little brother.

The staff at Troy Ortho are so friendly and generous! They totally transformed my smile after having braces for 2 years! I am grateful that I found their office and they were able to work with me for the best treatment. Highly recommend Dr. Roy and her staff!

This is one of he best places for orthodontics. Everyone is kind, efficient, friendly, yet professional. I am so happy I chose Troy Orthodontics for my grandaughter's braces. Also, they take Medicaid which almost all orthodontists will not accept. Look no furfther this is the place for braces.

I have been going to Troy Orthodontics for about 2 years now, for my daughter and myself. They have a very friendly and professional staff. We have been pleased with the results of treatment. I just started my Invisalign treatment at Troy Orthodontics. I had such a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in. The staff was willing to help and the office seemed very structured. I'm so excited for my treatment here because I know Dr. Roy and Dr. Zito really care about my treatment! I would highly recommend this practice for all your smile needs.

I visited the office about two years ago. I expressed to Dr. Roy that I wanted to try something different than traditional braces because of their appearance and Invisalign because I just didn't have the disciple to use them consistently. We discussed lingual braces (braces that go on the back of your teeth). While Dr Roy didn't have much experience with these braces, she was willing to give them a try to work with me. Over the next two years I met with Dr Shah periodically for adjustments and maintenance to get my teeth to a place that we were both happy with. Taking the masks off in pubic once the COVID numbers started to decline was like unveiling the new me with my perfect smile/teeth. I would highly recommend Dr Roy, Dr Shah, Arlease (sorry about the spelling) and the rest of the team at Troy Ortho. It was truly a pleasure and I couldn't be happier with my results.

After 4 years with a different orthodontist, with numerous excuses, rescheduled appointments (on their end), and follow-up appointments that were well over 4 weeks(sometimes 8-9 weeks apart) my 15 y.o. cried to me that she wants her braces off before high school ends, she's a freshman, and the ortho couldn't give us an end date beyond possible 2 more years! I called Dr. Roy's office was courteous and helpful. I called on a Friday, they saw her on Tuesday for a consult. I needed to get the records for my daughter from the previous ortho, 2 months later I am still waiting! I went to the ins. company got the records myself submitted them to Dr. Roy's office and 1 day later they had advised me that they were going to continue to care for my daughter. We had an appt within 3 days of that day, my daughter showed up for her appt about 25 mins early, they took her right away, the Dr. explained to her what they were going to do. The assistant was so efficient. She had the Dr's items set up within minutes. The Dr. saw my daughter less than 15 minutes later. We were not used to this at all, at the previous Ortho we'd wait up to 2 hours in the waiting room and see the dr for 5 mins tops. My daughter came out of the place with a smile on her face and an appt for 4 weeks from that day. She asked me if I could call the Dr and let her now how impressed she was, so I did, and I am here to tell everyone to give Dr. Roy's office a chance, they will treat you like you deserve to be treated. FYI - the previous Ortho had collected all of the insurance money for the span of the braces contract with my insurance company, except for the removal fee!! Dr. Roy is doing all of the work (approx a year) without a guarantee from the insurance company that she will be paid, except for when she takes the braces off...who does that? I'll tell you who does that.. a Dr who cares!

I was recommended to this place by my sister for braces/Invisalign, no regrets! Very clean place, highly professional, and quick to accommodate needs. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could! Shout out to Dr. Zito, she helped resolve an issue my dentist was struggling with for months! :)

I came here for an emergency where I had a piece of my braces fall off causing the wire to rupture and get stuck in my gum. They were kind enough to fit me and help me remove that pain. The llace is super clean, nice, and home like setting. Definitely if I were to redo my braces, I would choose here.
