Dr. Boatman is a recognized leader in his field, most recently being named to St. Louis Magazines list of Top Dentists. Dr. Boatman grew up in Granite City, IL, graduating from Granite City North High School in 1979.

Dr. Richard Boatman, Jr. is a general dentist with advanced skills in extractions, root canals, childrens dentistry, bone grafting, and implants. He is an Invisalign preferred provider and is certified in both IV and oral sedation. Dr. Boatman is a recognized leader in his field, being named to St. Louis Magazines list of Top Dentists for the last nine consecutive years. Dr. Boatman grew up in Granite City, IL graduating from Granite City North High School in 1979. He graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and attended Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in Alton, IL, graduating in 1987. He served as a General Practice Resident in Dentistry at St. Marys Hospital in E. St. Louis for 1 year, receiving a Post-Doctoral Certificate. Dr. Boatman opened his solo dental practice in Troy, IL on January 10, 1989, at 334 Bargraves Blvd. He moved to his current location at 606 Edwardsville Road in September of 1999. Dr. Boatmans wife is Sherry, formerly of Davenport, IA. They have five daughters, Megan, Amanda, Ashley, Brittney, Caitlin, one son, Richie, and nine grandchildren.

Dr. Jordan Spencer was just named to St. Louis Magazines list of Top Dentists for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Dr. Spencer has 19 years of experience and is well versed in all dental techniques including oral and IV sedation, Invisalign, and surgical extractions including wisdom teeth.

Dr. Jordan Spencer is a general dentist with advanced skills in extractions, root canals, childrens dentistry, bone grafting, implants, and sinus augmentation for implant placement.Dr. Spencer was born in Toronto, Canada. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, he moved to the US to complete his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Case Western Reserve University. After practicing for 14 years in Central Illinois, he made the choice to relocate to Edwardsville. Dr. Spencer loves to stay ahead of the curve and continually develop his expertise. He is an Invisalign preferred provider and is certified in both IV and oral sedation. Dr. Spencer resides with his wife Tina, an Illinois native. Together they have 6 children: Noah, Karson, Landyn, Beckham, Ariah, and Liam.

Amanda lives in Troy, IL with her husband, Justin and 3 children. When the family isnt busy traveling the country for her sons hockey, she enjoys working out, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.

Becky has been in the dental field since June 2007. Becky lives in the small town of St. Libory with her husband Justin and two boys, Jayden & Jax. When shes not at Troy Family Dental, she enjoys taking pictures and spending times with her family outdoors.

Candy has been in the dental field since 2007. Candy lives in Maryville, IL with her husband Steve and 3 children. When Candy isnt busy holding down the fort while her husband fights fires in St. Louis, she enjoys spending time with family, craft beer, and visiting breweries all over the St. Louis area.

I have a 6-year-old son, a dog, and a guinea pig. Some of my hobbies include taking my dog on walks and playing Fortnite with my son. I also like to go to Six Flags every other weekend. One of the best things about Troy Family Dental is having one big work family, we all take care of each other!

I am a mom of three residing in Edwardsville. My favorite season is summer, I hate being cold but Christmas is still my favorite season. I recently moved to my childhood home and enjoy being back there. I like making improvements around the house and to the yard. The best part about Troy Family Dental is the family, friendly atmosphere.

Erin has been in the dental field for over 22 years, 14 of those being at Troy Family Dental. Erin lives in Smithton, IL with her husband Brad and two daughters. When Erin isnt soaking up the sun or taking care of her new puppy, she enjoys crafts and reading.

I live in Jerseyville, IL. with my husband, son, and 4 fur babies. Ive been in the dental field since 2014. My favorite part about coming to work is being able to help patients overcome their fears and smile. Outside of the office, I enjoy making memories with my family and friends

Kara is the newest member of our business office team. She made a transition from orthodontics to general dentistry in January 2019. She has done an amazing job of learning our systems in the short time she has been here.

As the person that usually greets our patients with a smile on arrival, Kara is enjoying getting to know each patient. Kara has a passion for traveling. Kara has one dog, a Scottie named Paisley. In her spare time, Kara enjoys decorating her home and exercising.

Katie has been working with Dr. Boatman for 10 years. She lives in Clinton County and enjoys instructing yoga, hiking, and being active in her free time. Katies favorite part of being a dental assistant is working with patients.

Kayla has been in the dental field since 2015. She lives in Germantown, IL with her 2 dogs, Teddy and MJ. When Kayla isnt coaching cheerleading for Germantown Elementary, she enjoys spending time with her friends, hiking, and going to concerts.

Megan has been in patient relations at Troy Family Dental since Dec. 2007. Megan lives in OFallon, IL with her husband, Barry, and two children, Jett and London. Her favorites are baking goodies for family & friends, spending fall evenings on the back porch, and riding bikes with her kids.

Nicky has been in the dental field for over 15 years, spending 10 of them with Troy Family Dental. Nicky lives in Collinsville, IL with her husband Estevan and 3 children. Nicky enjoys traveling, date nights with her husband and watching her kids sporting events.

Shawna completed hygiene school in 2016 and has been serving the area ever since. She loves helping provide our patients with healthy, confident smiles and is a prime source for all of your oral homecare questions! When shes not improving patients lives in the office, shes spending time with the two main guys in her life, Luke and their adorable dog, Jasper! In her spare time, she enjoys shopping, cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals, and traveling back home to St. Peter, IL to visit her family.

Skylee has been in the dental field since 2012. Skylee is from Mulberry Grove, IL (population:700) and loves living close to her 4 nephews and 2 nieces. When Skylee isnt listening to Jesse McCartney music on repeat, she enjoys working-out, golfing, going to wineries, riding ATVs, and going to concerts.

Taylor has been in the dental field since 2013. Taylor lives in Breese with her husband, Nathan and 2 dogs & 2 cats. Taylor enjoys bowling, playing with her dogs, going to hockey games, and hanging out with her family.

Tracy has been in the dental field for 28 years, spending 18 of those years at Troy Family Dental. Tracy is born and raised in Germantown, IL and lives there now with her husband Mark and two twin boys. Both boys are baseball stand-outs and attend Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. Tracy enjoys traveling to different areas of the country to watch the boys play baseball, spending time with family and friends, country music, and driving around Clinton County in their Jeep.
