Growing up in the desert heat of Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Hale was looking for a change of climate and scenery. Its not hard to understand why he and his wife, Alisha, fell in love with Oregons forests and diverse landscapes. Relocating here in 2018 has been a refreshing experience of which he says, 'My wife and I are constantly saying we can 't believe we get to live with so much natural beauty right in our backyard!'
Dr. Hale graduated from UNLV School of Dental Medicine after earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University. During dental school, he served as Class Vice President and received the Delta Dental Student Leadership Award.
Dr. Hale went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Baltimore, Maryland Veteran Affairs Medical Center. Through this additional training, Dr. Hale devoted his time advancing his skills in root canals, tooth extractions, dental implants, fillings, crowns, and veneers. He furthers his education yearly through continuing education courses well above the required amount by the Oregon Dental Board. He says, 'The members of our community expect top notch dental care. I strive to provide this care predictably and efficiently in a comfortable and safe environment as I help our patients achieve their goals of oral health.'
Dr. Brinton graduated from OHSU School of Dentistry in 2013 as the class valedictorian. During his third and fourth years, he was selected as one of two students to train under Drs. Stanley Malamed and Ken Reed in intravenous sedation as a member of their mini-residency program.
Dr. Brinton practiced general dentistry in New Mexico from 2013 to 2017, devoting much of his practice to IV sedation and dental surgery, including root canal therapy, dental extractions, removal of impacted wisdom teeth, and dental implant surgery. Dr. Brinton credits his high level of experience and education in a short time to his commitment to continued professional education and training.
Becky is a Dental Hygienist here at Troutdale Dental. She was born in Virginia but grew up in Gresham, OR. Becky received her Dental Hygiene degree from Mt. Hood Community College. She loves connecting with and educating her patients on the importance of good oral hygiene. She loves to spend her free time with her family, boyfriend, and fur babies, Roxy and Georgie. Beckys team members love her humor and patience.
Dawn is a Dental Hygienist here at Troutdale Dental. She grew up in Portland, OR and has lived in Troutdale for 15 years. Dawn received her Dental Hygiene degree from Mt. Hood Community College. She takes great pride in working with her patients to improve their oral health and enjoys catching up with them at each cleaning visit. In her free time she loves to camp with her family and wine taste with her friends. Dawns team members love her confidence and sweet smile.
Marcela is an Expanded Function Dental Assistant here at Troutdale Dental. She grew up in Hermiston, OR and moved to Gresham in 2017. Marcela was trained in dental assisting from the Vancouver Dental Assisting School. She loves to be a part of the life changing dentistry performed at Troutdale Dental. She loves to spend her free time with her boyfriend and their dog, Royce. Marcelas team members love her contagious laugh and precision to detail.

UPDATE: 9/14/22 - Just visited this office again (for a tooth extraction) Dr. Hale and his team AGAIN were fantastic. Luckily this is only the second tooth I have had extracted. Dr. Hale was great, no pain or discomfort. But again, besides his professionalism, the entire team was great. And is great. My wife (Peggy) and I were very lucky to find this office, as we are traveling the country in a motor home. The staff is fantastic, professional and will go out of their way to help. From Dr. Hale to Becky, the hygienist are consummate professionals...and good people. Corbin (the patient coordinator) handle all of the paperwork without any problems. Two months after our visit, I had a problem while in Vancouver, BC and Kristie the office supervisor helped me get a referral to a dentist here. FABULOUS! If you are traveling in the Portland, OR area and need a dental office, this is the one. Cannot say enough. Thank you all at Troutdale Dental. Five stars is sufficient in rating this office.

Dr. Hale, Marcela, Corbin, and the entire team working at Troutdale Dental are such kind and caring people. I initially booked a cleaning appointment with them and disclosed that I had anxiety about coming to the dentist for the first time in 5 years and the entire staff was empathetic and made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time I was there. They made sure I was feeling good every step of the way, explained to me what they were doing the entire time and how it was supposed to feel, and answered all of my questions openly and honestly to ease my mind. They have a great, affordable dental care option and they are all so easy to talk to. I'm so happy to finally have a dentist that I actually get excited to go to. If you're looking for a new dental office I really can't recommend them enough, this has been a wonderful experience all around!

Dr. Brian Hale is the best and most through and informative dentist I have been to in my 73 years. He has done fillings and crowns on me and did complete dental implants on my wife. It is a blessing to see her being able to eat lots of different foods again. I also have mother- in-law now going to him and she is very impressed with him. I highly recommend him everyone.

Very fortunate to have this place in our community. I've had several visits here in the past year or so and never a bad experience. I've started the long journey of getting my mouth back in good shape recently and Troutdale Dental has been a pleasure to deal with. The front staff have always been incredibly helpful, Corban in particular. Dawn is an Angel, and Dr Hale shoots you straight. Great place.

I have never been more comfortable at a dentist before coming to Troutdale Dental. The staff here is amazing, Marcela the dental assistant is so kind and personable, she made me feel so comfortable! Will not go to another dentist again!

Just saw Dr. Hale today for a filling! Quick and painless sure, but what really impresses me every time I'm at Troutdale Dental is how well the dentist and staff work together. It was fascinating watching Dr. Hale and Marcela work together today almost as if they can real each other minds. It is abundantly clear how professional and happy everyone is. My teeth prove it. I used to really not be a fan of going to the dentist, but since I have switched to Troutdale Dental a couple years ago, I have much less stress and anxiety about going to the dentist! The whole staff and Dr. Hale are just amazing!! I highly recommend going to Troutdale Dental! They will take good care of you and make you feel safe and comfortable!!

Troutdale Dental is one of the best dentists I've ever been to. The staff is friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. This is the most pleasant experience I have ever had as a dental patient! The office is 'friendly' from the front door all the way back - the people are upbeat & go out of their way to make you comfortable. The cleaning I had was eye-opening - everything was explained & taken care of. When I needed a filling replaced, it was done in less than 45 minutes - from numbing to finish---all conversation was enlightening & encouraging! All in all, since we can't work on our teeth ourselves, it's a God-send to have Troutdale Dental, Dr. Hale & all his staff & expertise!!!

I have never liked a dentist, but Troutdale Dental is Amazing! Very kind, gentle, clean, understanding. Very upfront and competitive with costs. The staff is outstanding. Dr. Hale is the absolute best! I actually enjoy going to the dentist now, I don't worry or anticipate pain or discomfort. So professional. I can't say enough about how they serve their patients.

I went to Troutdale Dental for a tooth extraction they were very friendly and helpful in explaining my specific tooth problem. The procedure went very well the tooth is out and healing great. I would highly recommend them the staff, specifically Marcela and Genie were so kind and caring and Dr. Brian Hale did a fantastic job.

I have been going to Dr. Hale at Troutdale Dental for about a year and a half now and I have had nothing but positive experiences there! Annjallene, the dental assistant who I usually see, is friendly, knowledgable, and cares about patient comfort. She explains everything clearly and makes sure I know what's happening. Dr. Hale has an excellent bedside manner and answers any questions I have and is efficient with his work without it feeling rushed. I highly recommend Troutdale Dental!

I was in really good hands at Troutdale Dental especially with Dr. Hale and Marcella. My first appointment was for a crown (that I had put off for years) which I was very anxious about. However, everything went well and I felt very comforted before, during and after the procedure. Dr. Hale explained everything to me in detail and explained along the way what was happening next. It was a long appointment, probably longer than anticipated but I never felt rushed. The next crown I had to get done actually turned out that we only needed to replace the filling which was a much shorter appointment however, my nerves were calm already knowing what to expect. All thanks to Dr. Hale and his team, I'm not as nervous to visit the dentist. Thanks so much.

Dr. Hale and his staff (especially Annjallenne) are amazing. I received amazing service from Lexie as soon as i walked in the door. I ended up needed a couple procedures done, all were painless and I am very happy with the work. I would recommend Troutdale Dental to any and all. Very professional and honest.

I just went to Troutdale Dental as a new patient and had one of the best experiences ever at the dentist! Becky was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job for my cleaning and check up. Dr. Hale informed me of all options available to me and what he recommended based on my needs. I felt like I was in great hands from the moment I walked in the door for check in. My insurance changed this year and I was hesitant to pick a new dentist. I am so glad to have found Dr. Hale and his team. Even though I had some dental issues they were helpful & kind. Their office has a really welcoming and upbeat vibe and they really put you at ease. If you are looking for a new dentist I reccomend Dr. Hale and his team.
