A sincere warning to all divorced moms sharing custody. My child was on my ex's dental insurance. This office had our billing address as my ex's name under my address. The post office will not deliver his mail to my address. Neither he nor I knew there was a bill. I brought my daughter to her regularly scheduled appointment 6 months later only to find out they sent our account to a collection agency without ever calling either of us. What's worse? THEY LIED ABOUT IT TO MY FACE and said they did not. I HAVE THE COLLECTION AGENCY LETTER. The most amusing part is they accepted payment from my ex AFTER they sent our account to an independent collection agency. Their admin function SERIOUSLY needs to sort themselves out. Oh, also they humiliated me in front of the entire waiting room about the non-payment of the bill. It was the first I had heard there was a problem! I will NEVER GO BACK HERE. Dr. Hollowell was great, but the admin staff, especially the office manager, are THE WORST!

I'm amazed at and happy for all the positive reviews, but I have quite the bone to pick. I've gone here since I had teeth really, and I recently moved to a different dentist once I turned 18. I have been deathly afraid of the dentist after a middle school classmate passed away at the dentist. I am also neurodivergent and have been since I was tiny, so the loud noises of things like drills and electronic brushes, along with bright lights and people touching my face and mouth, are incredibly overwhelming to me. I assume because this is a children's dentist they just figured everyone would be scared, but they never did a thing to help me. Never did they tell me what they were doing without me asking, never did they offer me anything to help me calm down or any tips to help with sensory issues. I assumed that dentists for adults would be worse about this, but I was very wrong as my new dentist was able to get a room with a massaging chair for me at my last filling, and she explained each and every thing she did and showed me the tools. She helped me through and gave me specific tips to have an easier time, along with even helping me with a short meditation at the beginning, which was just above and beyond anything I expected. I don't expect a dentist to hold my hand (more on that later) or anything like that, but I expect some level of human respect for having a fear with a valid cause. I shouldn't even need to say that, because things like phobias and sensory issues shouldn't need to be explained. For about 3 years, I've seen a cavity in one of my teeth that I can stick small things in. I can see it with my naked eyes in just a normal mirror, so it's not hidden, and I've watched it grow. At my last appointment here, I left being told I had very healthy teeth, but six months later with the new dentist, I was told I have FIVE cavities. I do not believe five cavities can develop to the point of needing to be fixed in six months. I may be wrong on this, but I am certain the cavity I could see needed to be fixed much earlier. There was the time I got my wisdom teeth pulled also at this location. I chose to not have the anesthesia that would make me feel funny, and I accept this as my mistake. At one point during the procedure, I started feeling pain so I raised my hand. One of the assistants held my hand and prevented me from asking for more local anesthetic, until I was able to raise my other hand when I was immediately given it. I had other struggles with this procedure as well- I had to Google a lot of aftercare instructions that weren't on the instructional sheet because all the surgeon did was hand me the sheet and tell me very little. This surgeon wasn't malicious, but he was never kind to me at any point during the procedure. I sadly would not recommend this dentist, especially to anyone with a child who is scared of the dentist or who is neurodivergent in any way.

My son has been a patient here for over 10 years. At his first appointment he was a super scared kid, the staff made him feel safe and confident in the process. By his third visit he was excited about going to see Dr Buddy! Highly recommend this team of professionals!

Been going here ever since I was a kid, Hoping a review from a person who's gone here as a child may help. I have autism and they are very accommodating to my specifications and worries about everything. Feels like a family, not just a dentist. I have never felt uneasy here and I recommend this to anyone with children on the spectrum or have special needs!

Dr Porter and Mallory are AMAZING! We've been a client for over 4 years and keep coming back because they are friendly, wonderful with children and clinically superior! They always put my daughter at ease, have a fun & warm atmosphere and give great communication every step of the way. We would never go anywhere else and if they served adults I would go here as well! No unnecessary procedures or add ons and just all around great people.

We love TPD! We switched to them about 6-7 years ago after a really bad experience with another local pediatric dentist, and there was no comparison! I feel completely informed as a parent, and my kids love going here! Dr. Porter and all the hygienists are super friendly and personable. Thank you TPD!!

We love going to see Dr. Porter. He is always so calm and gentle with my kiddos. They love picking from the prize machines and look forward to going to the dentist. We usually have Caitlin or Monica as dental hygienists and they are equally as amazing. Highly recommend.
