Dr. Hatcher knows that good oral health requires a lifetime commitment to diligent care. He develops lasting relationships to help patients maintain long-term oral wellness.

Dr. Hatcher is a University of North Carolina alum, where he majored in biology, and completed undergraduate studies. At UNC, he was awarded a cancer research grant from National Institutes of Health. After graduating from dental school, he began military service at Fort Meade, MD, spending the majority of his time in Washington, DC. Dr. Hatcher has been stationed at Fort Belvoir, the Pentagon, and Fort Meade.

Dr. Hatcher is married to Dr. Sona Isharani. They and their daughter Sophie are residents of Greensboro. When Dr. Hatcher isnt at the office creating stunning smiles, he enjoys time with his family. They like to ski, hike, golf, cook, and travel.

Dr. Merrell was born in Anderson, South Carolina in 1973. He earned his Eagle Scout honor in 1989, attended High School in Arden, North Carolina at T.C. Roberson and graduated with a B.S. in Zoology from N.C State University in 1996. Upon graduating from Temple University School of Dentistry in 2002, Dr. Merrell completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UNC Chapel Hill where he learned many of the advanced techniques he performs today.

Board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Isharani, is adored by her patients. As a mother, her expertise in working with children stems from real life experience as well as specialized professional education. Dr. Sona, as she is affectionately known to parents and patients, practices with a gentle touch, compassion, and relaxed rapport with children.

Dr. Isharani works hard to create a home-like atmosphere that puts children and parents at ease. She believes in education and preventive care to establish a strong foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles. Dr. Isharani provides dental care at our neighboring office that is dedicated to pediatric dental care, Triad Pediatric Dentistry. As your child grows older, we will begin to care for them at the Triad Dentistry adult practice so they can maintain continuity of care with the dental family they know and trust.

Undergraduate, graduate, and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees were earned at University of North Carolina. Dr. Isharani then completed a three-year training program, achieving a certificate in pediatric dentistry from University of Maryland Dental School. She has been caring for Greensboros children ever since.

University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicines Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia provided Dr. Isharanis fellowship training. This stringent program included growth and development, behavioral management, and clinical training.

Away from the office, Dr. Isharani is an active participant in community affairs. She donates time and talent to Christina Smiles, an event that provides free dental care to underprivileged children. Dr. Isharani also serves as a Child Advocate for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistrys lobby day. She enjoys spending time with family, and her pet hobbies (in addition to volunteerism) are meditation, exercise, travel, and reading. She is married to Dr. Steven Hatcher. They live in Greensboro with their daughter Sophie.

With a lifelong dream of becoming a dentist, Victoria completed her undergraduate coursework at Montclair State University majoring in Molecular Biology. Dr. Santiago-Coiro was then offered early acceptance to UMDNJ- New Jersey Dental School (currently Rutgers School of Dental Medicine). Upon graduation in 2005, she went into private practice in her hometown of Toms River.

Dr. Santiago-Coiro is very passionate about continuing education and has earned a Fellowship award in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2011. She is looking forward to achieving Scholar status with the Dawson Academy. Through a rigorous curriculum and participation in study clubs, Dawson dentists are trained in an analysis of bite problems and related disorders of the TMJs (jaw joints) in order to achieve long-term maintainable health and comfort with the creation and maintenance of a beautiful, natural smile.

Dr. Santiago-Coiro is a die-hard New York Yankees fan and loves watching football. On Friday nights, you will always see her on the sideline cheering on, watching her husband, Damon, coach high school football at Mallard Creek High School. She also enjoys spending as much time as she can with her 3 nieces and 6 nephews.
