Dr. Michael Homer is originally from Utah, but has spent time living in various places all across the country.Dr. Homer graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from the University of Nebraska. He then traveled with his family to Boston, MA to attendtheTufts University School of Dental Medicine. While there, he was elected by his peers as class president for his dental class for multiple years, and graduated as one of the top members of his class with his Doctorate in Dental Medicine.Dr. Homer practiced for a year as a general dentist before returning to Tufts University to undergo post-doctorate specialty training, recieving an Advanced Certificate in Endodontics.
Following his professional training, Dr. Homer moved his family to Sioux Falls for the opportunity to purchase a successful dental specialty office. He and his wife, Emily, have 2 sons, 2 yorkies, and a chocolate lab. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, camping, riding ATVs, fishing, and spending time with his family.

I was so impressed, it was the best experience at the dental office I've ever had in my life, the staff and of course the doctor was amazing. The night after the procedure I even got a phone call from the doctor that's a First. And that evening I had no pain whatsoever and by the next morning it was like I never had a procedure done. just unbelievable I've been telling everybody that I talk to if you have any problems this is the place to go !! thank you for all your help.

Dr. Homer and his staff are exceptional! I had a root canal performed by Dr. Homer and he made me feel comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. He even reached out later that evening to make sure I was ok. The very next day one of his staff called me to make sure I was still doing ok IM HAPPY TO REPORT NO PAIN ONLY AFTER 1 DAY REMOVED FROM A ROOT CANAL! I highly recommend Dr. Homer he is the best!

This was my sixth root canal. However my first from Dr. Homer. All of my other root canals have been completed by my dentist whoever I was seeing at the time. this was the most painful as far as recovery time. They were courteous and he personally called himself which is great! Now comes the billing side. I have great insurance as I work for the post office. Route canals are covered at 50% with no maximum. Dr. Homer has a lot of cost that insurance doesn't cover it's really not talked about that much and then he has the decision to make a temporary or permanent filling before you get a crown all of this for $2500. The $2500 does not include the crown. I have to go back to my dentist to get that done. He has to do an extra imaging. Which is all out of pocket but mandatory per him. G I wonder why the insurance company doesn't pay for it. Probably because it's not necessary. Kind of like getting laughing gas at your regular dentist. Then the temporary versus permanent filling has a couple hundred dollar difference. I got quoted $1900 from an out of network provider my half would have been $800. Thinking I'm doing the right thing and picked the only endodontist in my network in the entire metro area of Sioux Falls. my out-of-pocket is supposedly 805. Long story short I think Dr. homers billing practices are questionable. I ended up paying more than my insurance company. even though I have 50-50 coverage. All because Dr. Homer gets to pick and choose different avenues he wants to pursue for treatment. However some are not talked about until afterwards at which point you just have to pay for it.

Amazing!!!! Dr. Homer and the entire staff are all 5 star exceptional! I went yesterday for a root canal with high anxiety and I can say, I would recommend everyone to Dr. Homer, unbelievable satisfaction from the time I stepped in the door! Thank you again Dr. Homer and staff for everything from all the kindness to all the laughs we shared!

Dr. Homer was great, as was his staff! I was in so much pain and they got me in for a same day root canal, which was greatly appreciated since we are leaving for Disney World in 2 days and I didn't want to be in pain the whole trip. Dr. Homer made me feel so comfortable and at ease during the procedure. The procedure was painless. I will definitely return for further treatment when necessary!

I was referred to Dr. Homer by my general dentist, Dr. Megan Freed for a root canal. Dr. Homer did one of the best thorough exams I have ever received. He was able to find additional issues and took the time to explain each issue, explained my options, and advised me to work with Dr. Freed in reference to the issues and options. The root canal he performed was also a great success! I recommend Dr. Homer and I am thankful for the great experience! Rod W.

I had a great experience with Dr Homer and staff. The 1st visit he found a problem with my tooth and gave me the option of continuing. I chose not to continue at that time. Completed the root canal 2 weeks later. I am very impressed that Dr Homer gave me the time to check out different options and costs before deciding the root canal was my best option. Absolutely no pain afterwords! Great work! I highly recommend him and his staff.

I tried make an appointment with a doctor and the assistant told me, if I am not fully vaccinated the doctor will not meet me. I don't know what they are afraid of? if everyone in the office is fully vaccinated and everyone is protected 95-96%. I respect their decision, but this is discrimination. She didn't ask me either for covid test like some of the places etc. I will not call them again. I called a different place and there was no problem to make an appointment. I don't know why she didn't ask me first if I am or not fully vaccinated? and later ask me for additional questions about me etc.

Dr Homer & his girls are the sweetest there are. I know when I heard "root canal" I was terrified!!.They talked me through every single thing that was happening! In the past, I probably would've lost the tooth, because I wouldn't have gone back!! If there are any future root canals to be had, I will be asking my dentist to refer me to Tri-State Endodontics (never thought I would hear myself saying that) No need to be afraid there, 'You're In Good Hands'

Very please with the treatment I have received at Tristate Endodontics. Dr. Homer and staff were awesome! The team made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Very entertaining too! No pain what so ever during treatment of my tooth. I had no discomfort after the numbness wore off. I agreed to use the the Gentle Wave which is a good invention. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing treatment in their future. (:

I had a good experience as a nervous client. The procedure was explained and was done in a thoughtful manner. They also have some high tech equipment for great assessment. Marsha was wonderful at helping talk through insurance, the cost, and flexibility with scheduling. Marti was wonderful she is compassionate and caring. She took them time to make sure I was comfortable, understood what was going on, and was very knowledgeable about the procedure I was going to have. I had a really good experience and would definitely get work done here again. It's an extremely safe environment.
