Realizing the growing seriousness of this problem, a group of dentists and community leaders embarked on an ambitious project: to build and staff a volunteer dental clinic in Appleton, Wisconsin. In early 2002, a small group of dentists met and formed a steering committee to address the problem. Fox Valley area dentists were already providing oral health care in their private offices to many at low or no cost, but they were unable to treat the great majority of thosein need ofemergency dental careor restorative and preventative care.

The dental community inOutagamie, Calumet, and Winnebago Countieshas not only agreed to volunteer their time and talents, but has also contributed financially as well. Doctors Jeff and Marissa Keesler donated a parcel of land across from the VA Clinic as the site of the new Tri-County Community Dental Clinic. Marquette University donated some of the equipment for eight dental operatory rooms.

Staff is very nice, as are the dentists who volunteer their time. They explain things clearly so one understands exactly what the options are. My only neg is they numb your mouth with the needle and Novocaine and more Novocaine. No gas or sedation is available. Likely it is because it's a training facility for dental students. Nonetheless it is my only gripe. Overall- a great option in the community!

I came in as a walk in and was seen quite quickly to my surprise which was great for me. I had an extremely painful tooth on my upper left area. The front desk ladies were very informative and friendly. The technicians/students Chris and Josie were friendly and nice and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I am so thankful to them and a huge thank you to Dr.Loren for extracting the stubborn tooth that didnt seem to want to come out lol. Thank you Dr.Loren for your pleasant service and you have a great team back there! Update: Came in for my second time here also a walk-in and was seen shortly after arriving. The environment is just so friendly and inviting. I had a tooth extracted by one of the student technicians named Aaliyah who did a wonderful job and Landis a dental hygienist who assisted her, they both were very kind and I do appreciate Aaliyah very much for taking good care of me! Dr.Springborn who assigned Aaliyah to me was very nice as well. This is such a great place to go for emergency tooth aches or regular visits in my opinion!

I called yesterday to ask a few questions and they were answered promptly. The receptionist informed me of what they do, and advised me to show up today before 7:30am for emergency walk ins. I was informed of how emergency walk ins work and understood that appointments and priority patients go first. I was honestly just happy to be seen so fast without an appointment. I believe I was third in line for this morning's emergency walk ins so I was in and out in less than three hours. Between the receptionist, the kind woman who did my xrays, and the dentists that worked on my teeth it was probably the best dentist experience I have ever had. Everyone communicated well and I had everything explained to me. The atmosphere was friendly and I felt comfortable being there. If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. It really means a lot to have a place like this that I can go to when I am in a lot of pain and need help. Thank you to everyone at that clinic for what you do!

I was able to make an appointment and the availability was great. Today my son went in to get a wisdom tooth pulled and I was very happy with the staff and overall experience. What I do think needs to be addressed is what I saw happen as we were about to leave! There was a lady that came in late for her appointment due to Mc Donald's and decided to get nasty with the staff. First of all how old are you? Where did your manners go? Why is it the staffs problem that you needed to eat McDonald's over seeing a dentist? And most of all who raised you??? The temper tantrum that I saw a grown woman throw was sickening. Which doesn't help the staff at all! The way I saw the staff handle it was very professional and I feel bad that they have to deal with people like this! Either way, great place to go, friendly staff, clean, and would recommend to anyone that would make an appointment and show up on time for it!

I know some people complain about this place. But I have been going here for years. And they always take really good care of me. Today I had my two front teeth restored. Yes they are limited to what they can do here.. they are a dental school and insurance doesn't cover much. But Dr Tiffany did an amazing job today! And they staff was so nice. And the dental assistants were awesome. Thank you tri county dental!! Thank you so much.

Very kind and helpful. Professional. A breath of fresh air in the hell-scape that is American healthcare. It's kinda like this place shows us how the entire healthcare system should be in the US, instead of crippling people with debt and expenses. This place literally saved my life for a 20 dollar co-pay.

I went there yesterday to get a tooth taken out. Honestly I never had this much pain at all all the other times I went there to get a tooth pulled. I get that it's a school but these students should know what tools they're suppose to use on shorten teeth before they even start working on real people mouths. The so call dentist that I had she wasnt ready to work on real people mouths. She couldn't use the proper tools to pull out my tooth also she messed up alot of my front teeth and my jaw. I Barely can eat, drink or talk at this point. I went in to get one of my back teeth taken out but I'm in alot more pain than when i went in there. The actual professional that came and pulled my tooth bc the student couldn't thanks for doing that I really do appreciate it. You saved me from suffering even more and giving me lesser recovery time with my jaw since she destroyed my jaw even tho it didnt need to be destroyed also my front teeth. I probably have tmj now bc of her

I found it very uncomfortable as a mother that I was not allowed to accompany my 6 year old to his appointment. Not sure if that is normal dentistry policy or not, but it made me feel very uncomfortable.

Went there for the first time yesterday with an extremely damaged tooth. Was called back right away. The staff was very pleasant and thorough. Explained everything from start to finish. 24 hrs after extraction and I feel like a million bucks. Thank you

Really wonderful experience. From the person at the front desk to the professional and pleasant woman who took x-rays to the person diagnosing. Just top shelf. Thank you very much Tri-County Community Dental.

Every time I get a procedure done here I end up in the ER. Lack of follow up care is usually the reason. I won't ever be returning to this "dental clinic". The dentist just don't care as you are not their "own" patient. I guess this is the care you get with a free clinic.

Was out of my mind scared to get 3 teeth pulled but everyone was extremely nice and made sure I was ok and wasn't in pain and really grateful for what they did.

They were extremely nice and kind. I was unaware that they only did emergency dental for adult's but they were very professional and used really high quality equipment. They look at the area in pain and fix that particular area. 10/10. Would go again. Don't be scared. It's not too bad. They might be a little uneducated about your medical regimen so be prepared to explain yourself.

I had two teeth pulled yesterday one a wisdom and one bottom molar, the wisdom one went great but the bottom one I literally felt everything they were doing in my mouth it was so painful and when I got to the point I couldn't take it anymore the doctor walked over and said "that's the best that it gets dear" like oh well almost and then being that the wisdom hole was so big you would have thought they would have stitched it up, no they left it completely wide open... and on top of everything else they didn't give me any type of pain medication and pretty much just sent me on my way. Now I am on day 1 of healing doing the Tylenol and ibeuprofen and I've got to say my pain hasn't gotten any better.

Very disgusting. Called to ask was it okay for me to walk in at 12:45 I was told yes but then still she asked my name so I gave it to the person over the phone she then looks me up then goes to tell me if I come in today there would t be a guaranteed I'll be seen so would I just like to reschedule? I explained to her I'm I pain badly and that I need to see somebody she then transfer me over to someone called "JJ" (how professional is that) Jj gets on the phone ask me what's the problem but then hangs up ..... I called back numerous of times just to ask if I can get put on the list if someone cancels well today im taking a nap with my baby thinking im getting a call by them saying someone canceled and I can come in but instead JJ is on the line telling me I may not come to my appointment tomorrow and that he has canceled my appointment ... Black lives don't matter I see here at all cause I didn't do a thing to be treated in such disgusting way I also have all calls recorded
