Dr. Lokesh C. Rao graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He completed a general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx where he also served as Chief Resident, overseeing the treatment of twenty-five general practice residents. After working with several of the top world-renowned dentists throughout Manhattan and Westchester, Dr. Rao decided it was time to achieve his vision by opening his own private practice. His goal is to give his patients (both adults and children) a healthy and beautiful smile while ensuring their comfort during the process. He is a skillful and artistic cosmetic dentist, who takes pride in providing his patients with high-quality work for long-lasting smiles.
Dr. Rao strives to stay up to date on the cutting edge of technology and new dental treatments by accumulating more than 1000 hours of continuing education that range from esthetic full-mouth rehabilitation to implant placement and prosthetic restoration. Dr. Rao also displays a passion for the biologic nature of dentistry. As a result, he has placed a large emphasis on the health of the products he places in his patients' mouths, and the effects they have on the body as a whole. Although this can be challenging in our modern dental field, he safely removes all toxic material such as mercury and metal based restorations, while replacing broken and disfigured teeth, with esthetic and healthy materials.
Dr. Rao's strength lies in the detail, thoughtful care and design he applies to his work. He is meticulous about the intricacies that separate good dentistry from excellent dentistry, and has a calm and affable personality that can put virtually anybody at ease. He is always accessible for any questions or concerns. Furthermore, patients are given follow-up calls within the first 24-36 hours to check on their post-operative care and needs.
Dr. Rao currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor in the Continuing Dental Education program in Implantology at NYU. Furthermore, he is currently partnered up with the director of the Implant CDE program at NYU.
Dr. Trevor Bavar is the Director of the Continuing Dental Education Program in Dental Implantology at New York University College of Dentistry. He holds the title of Clinical Professor at New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Trevor Bavar has been practicing Dental Implantology for more than thirty years. After graduation from New York University College of Dentistry, Dr. Bavar received his certificate in Dental Prosthodontics upon the completion of a two year fellowship at New York University. An early interest in advanced dental replacements - the desire for better means than conventional dentures and bridgework drove Dr. Bavar to study with leading implantologists throughout the world, resulting in the widely acclaimed techniques he uses today.
He is able to provide implants and stationary replacements in many cases where the patient has been previously told they are not a candidate for implant therapy. This is very often accomplished utilizing advanced bone grafting techniques.
Ms. Cabo has been trained in all of the latest dental hygiene procedures. A thorough head and neck exam is performed at the hygiene visit to screen for oral cancer. In addition to taking the necessary x-rays and performing the gentlest dental cleaning you have ever had, Virginia is also qualified to painlessly place medicated chips in the gums to get rid of the bugs that cause gum disease and tooth loss when necessary. A new laser device is used to detect tooth decay. She is a Graduate of the dental hygiene program at Hostos Community College.
Jamie is a skilled dental assistant and an administrative assistant.She is originally from Yonkers but lived in Ireland for a short time. Jamie is currently working on becoming a registered dental hygienist.

The office is professionally run and everyone is friendly and helpful. I appreciate the reminders and scheduling convenience. I started there years ago when Dr. Giordano, joined Dr. Bavar's staff. Now I am with Dr. Rao. He is great. All the staff from the front desk to the assistants are so helpful. The hygienist and the dentist take their time to examine, explain and answer questions. Wonderful dental office. I have been going for years and am very happy.

If you are looking for a dentist Dr. Rao is fabulous! He is highly qualified and makes you feel very comfortable. You are never rushed and he explains everything. I know that my oral health is good hands which is very important to me. Last but not least he is a lovely person!!

I always have an excellent experience at Westchester Dental Design, Dr. Rao is an amazing dentist. I had an implant done this morning and left feeling as good as when I came in. He is thorough, kind and extremely caring. I love the whole staff. Everyone who works there is as caring as Dr. Rao. Do not hesitate to come here because once you do, you will want to recommend this place to everyone.

Dr. Rao and his entire staff are wonderful. I am so glad that I found the perfect dentist to work with me and my anxiety related to dentistry. Dr Rao is patient and very calming. Virginia is a great hygienist and the rest of the staff are friendly and very thorough, making sure that I maximize my insurance allowance. I highly recommend this practice! A+++

I couldn't be happier with the care I receive there not only from Dr.Rao but his staff as well, as they go above and beyond. Dr. Rao has patience, understanding and compassion, he takes the time to really listen to your concerns and questions, explains exactly what needs to be done and how they're going accomplish it. He continously checks in with you to make sure that you're comfortable and if you're feeling any pain he handles it right away. Highly recommend!

Best dentist office I've ever been to! It's very nice and clean. They have all the newest tech. I love my regular dentist. I've been going to him for over 5 yrs. But if he's not there for whatever reason, I know I can go to any of the other wonderful dentists there. The entire staff is wonderful. I can't say one negative thing about them.

I used to love this dentist. I've recommended many people who began coming here from my employer. It wasn't until I had to reschedule due to death in my family twice throughout the pandemic and I was basically yelled at and scolded by the lady who answered the phone about this being my second time rescheduling . Not even giving me a chance to explain. She just yelled! I asked to speak with a supervisor or the Dr. When she said she is some form of supervision. I wish I remembered her name so I can include in this review! I've never been talked to this way by ANY professional. I will never recommend anyone else nor will I ever be back. Hire people who know how to deal with people! Especially during a pandemic. HORRIBLE!

For years, I suffered with horrible teeth- broken, discoloration, misalignment, cavities -you name it. I was very self conscious of my smile and unsure if I'd ever have nice teeth again. Dr.Rao INSTANTLY made me feel comfortable and gave me a sense of hope and relief. He and his staff were professional, understanding, flexible and very caring. He made sure to answer all of my questions(which were many) and went over everything he was going to do before going through with it. He was very thorough and made sure I understood every step of the way. He is a perfectionist, and when something was not right, he made sure to address it as efficiently as possible. Everyone from his front staff to the managers (especially Stephanie) were excellent and very communicative and flexible when I had trouble with price. I can't thank you all enough. Not only have you perfected my smile (on more than 1 occasion) but have exceeded my expectations as a dentist. I will forever recommend!

Although the job was properly done I am insanely upset that the price I was told over the phone prior to my appointment did not match the price I paid which was double. I may be walking around with a new smile but Rent won't get paid this month or perhaps the month after... So if I am ever living under a bridge in the near future at least my smile will get me spare change.

I never knew I could have a great experience at a dentist office until coming here. I literally walk in and out with a smile. I previously dreaded going to the dentist out of fear for pain, but I felt like I am in amazing care with Dr. Rao and team. Their bedside manner is phenomenal. Dr. Rao is very knowledgeable. He listened to my concerns as he eased them so easily with his patience, reassurance, and skills. This is the first time I have felt like I have a great and reliable dentist. The trust and comfort I have in this team will hold me accountable to schedule routine visits and will improve my dental health. Side note: I am always impressed with how well the whole team knows their patients and remember details about us. Very personable, friendly, and understanding!

I originally visited this dental office for an emergency dental problem. I was so impressed with the professionalism, decorum, efficiency, proficiency, and end product, I opted to have my front teeth gap closed by Dr. Rao. After completing the process and having my teeth work completed, I walked in to my office at work, and was immediately complimented for the dental work. My family, who are very critical, were also extremely impressed. The dental work looks amazing! To say I am pleased would be modest or an understatement. If you are looking for a dentist who is professional, proficient, and in my opinion, quintessentially the best, you must visit this office. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend Dr. Rao. Dental experience does not get any better than this!
