Dr Erin and her staff are not only pediatric dental professionals, theyre also parents themselves. With that in mind, we understand that parents want to have the ability to make decisions they feel are safest for their own children. While Dr Erin uses materials and procedures that are supported by scientifically based evidence, we are always open to discussing alternative options for your children. We want you and your child to feel comfortable, safe, and healthy.

Dr Erin Estep is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She grew-up on the Oregon Coast in Newport. She was a competitive swimmer throughout her youth and is an avid sports fan. She met her husband while in dental school, the brother of one of her classmates. They married in 2012 and have two boys, Jacoby 6 and Ollie 4. Dr Erin spends her time walking/running with their 8 year old yellow lab, Mr Beau. She enjoys quilting, collecting wine and spending time with her friends. Most weekends shes in Mom-mode, shuffling her kids from one sport to another and countless birthday parties! She truly treats her patients like they were one of her own, always finding the best option for your child.

Dr Erin graduated from Newport High School in 1999. She then went on to obtain her undergraduate degree from Western Oregon University in 2003 with a BA in Biology and minors in Chemistry and English. From 2006-2010 she attended dental school at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU). While in school she received a scholarship from the National Health Service Corps that paid for her education in exchange for working 4 years in underserved populations throughout the country. Upon graduation, she received two prestigious awards from her professors: the Oregon Academy of Pediatric Dentistry student of her graduating class and The American Association of Public Health Dentistry. Her time in the National Health Service took her to Butte, Montana for two years and then Redding, California for 2 additional years. During this time she knew that specializing in pediatrics was the right career path for her. She went to a two year residency at OHSU and Doernbecher Childrens Hospital, graduating in 2016. During her second year there she was named Chief Resident, an honor that meant a lot of her.

Dr Erin spent her first four years out of dental school working for the National Health Service Corps in remote areas of Montana and California in a public health setting through community health centers. Here she was able to use all of her general dental skills and really enjoyed the challenge of it all. She realized during this time how much she really loved working with children. After her commitment, she applied for the pediatric dentistry residency and was accepted into OHSU. Upon graduation, she worked for a corporate dental office and a private practice. Although she enjoyed both experiences, her husband encouraged her and has been a huge supporter of her pursuing her dream of opening her own practice.

Treehouse Kids Dentists provides the highest quality pediatric dentistry in an incredibly warm, friendly, and fun environment located in Springfield, Oregon. We are committed to giving you and your child the very best dental care in a welcoming and playful manner.

I'm very sorry to have this report ... I'm still n shock because our first impression/ appt .went well and I think I even left a warning review . (Although honestly I was takin back for a min when anesthesia was used for minor work , but I figured maybe it was better) . My daughter has anxiety about the dentist that suddenly appeared a year or two ago and I have no idea why . It's frustrating for me and I sometimes feel I'm not patient enough with her . Today we had a apt for a cleaning . I spent the entire drive up to get her ready and we even played a game having her explain to me all that happens when You get a cleaning and I played patient .. when they called her to come sit n the chair my daughter asked if she had to go under and the assistant seemed confused about what she was talking about and like she was in a hurry . When my daughter sat in the seat and put the glasses on I could tell the anxious was kicking in . My daughter didn't wanna set the seat back and was starting to get scared . I apologize to the assistant after reminders to my daughter about our dentist game . I told the assistant that she has very bad anxiety. The assistant said something but I didn't hear and when she repeated herself she said " no I think it's a behavioral problem". Well after my daughter hears that she then started acting out but hardly. The assistant clearly had no patients at all for a scared kid . So I asked her to plz step away and maybe hat the doc so we can finish apt up . When the dentist come she was also in a hurry and sadly to say I felt like just a number . And a problem one at that . The dentist took it upon herself to tell my daughter she wasn't gonna deals with her bad behavior,, looked her straight into her eye. Said will have to not continue with apt ( obvious after the assistant pretty much called her a brat ) . My daughter started to cry and ask to continue the apt and she refused. I asked the dentist if anything we can take prior to apt to help and she stated that what they did have took all day and they don't deal with that .. so basically I gather going under is her choice of dealing with little patients who are scared . Other things ( that seemed inappropriate and unprofessional were said) were said , I'm still n shock and trying to remember every detail . The entire interaction only lasted probably about 10-15 min . We didn't even get the head rest down . First sign of anxiety they didn't try to sooth her at all!!!!!!! It was completely opposite of warming and caring .. I'm at no words . I'm usually the one who is not patient enough with my daughter about her anxiety. But NEVER till now have I had a professional show zero compassion for a ten year old with severe anxiety. I even mentioned to the doctor as I left that she would be grounded for her anxiety when she got home cause that's exactly how it felt !! Like I should probably punish my daughter for being scared . Do you punish a child who is scared of the dentist?? ????? Well that's exactly how this felt . My daughter cried all the way home and apologized for being scared all the time . She asked me if she was a bad kid and asked if the dentist didn't like her . Of course I explained it best I could . I'm so dang disappointed. I don't wanna leave a bad review. I really wanted to just feel good about a person who chose to become a dentist because they lived children and would treat them with compassion . Maybe the work is just tooooo crazy anymore and even the dentist are overwhelmed... idk what to do . I'm feeling just down n out now because it's so hard to be the parent but the professionalism is just out the door these days . I hope nobody has to feel the way myself or my daughter felt today !!!!!! Idk about myself but kids look up to these professionals and it hurts when they hurt tiny feelings . Boundaries have been crossed today that should not hav even . A child with anxiety is not a child with a behavioral problem!!!! I hope any parent that finds themselves in this situation stands up for the child!!!! Anxiety is a real feeling !!!!!!!!!!!

Truly everyone we interacted with was delightful, kind, patient, and caring! The office was lovely and had fun, thoughtful touches that made it an enjoyable, stress free visit. The highest praise, however, was from my toddler, who asked when can we go back there again.

My son broke his tooth in half on July 15th. We called that day to schedule an appointment to have it fixed. Pictures of his tooth were sent the questions they asked us answered and we were told they would get back to us the week of July 26th. We do not hear from them. My wife and I wait until August 9th before calling. The health care system is strained and things move slowly at times, so we waited, but we were told to expect a phone call for further instruction. When I called it was the usual patient name and date of birth, but they had no idea why I was calling. I told the individual I was speaking to that they should have all the information on my son fromJuly 15th. The reply I received was troubling, "we do not document every little thing around here." Well I am a healthcare professional and you should document every little thing. The attitude from this individual reminded me of dealing with my teenage kids. It is the most unprofessional interaction that I have had in any healthcare setting. This person then tells me to have him brought in for a x-ray. Why was this not done when we called in July? Their response, "could not tell you." My wife takes my son in the following day. She is met with hostility at the front desk. The vibe is off, even my son feels uncomfortable. The Dr is not involved at this point. My wife said the Dr then enters the waiting area with an attitude. She is being defensive and opens a chart with a note from July 15th. 'Ok they do document every little thing.' No! The note said that we wanted to wait 6 months. The Dr also states that the breach in communication was our fault because we wanted to wait. What? First, his tooth is broke in half and is bothering him. The tooth is no longer protected. We wanted him in the next day and this was clear, but we understood they could not do it until the week of the 26th of July like we were told. Second, instead of the Dr addressing her front desk staff about the communication error and simply telling us sorry about the inconvenience my wife continues to get attitude from the Dr! Third, the entire staff missed the point. Not one acknowledgment towards our son the entire time. Not one mention of the kid that has been uncomfortable for over 3 weeks. Not one apology was given to my kid. My son is your patient Dr! When the Dr did see him he said he was uncomfortable and felt like she did not like him. Absolutely unacceptable! If you have a problem with the parents you holster your feelings when dealing with children! Finally, all of this could have been avoided if they would have admitted they made a mistake and apologized. Instead they were more interested in covering for themselves and blaming my wife and I. When I called to have my kids future appointments canceled and removed from the office the response was, "awesome, super cool." You lost 2 patients because of your BS and your response is awesome?

Treehouse Dentist and DR. Erin are the absolute BEST! I've taken my kids to a handful of dentists covered with OHP and no other office compares to the personable, compassionate and gentle care of Treehouse! I could go on and on. She goes way above and beyond and my kids leave the dentist so cared for. My 4 yo son recently had to have a damaged tooth pulled. When Grandma asked him if he was scared he told her "no, I felt like I was at home watching Cars!" Could having a tooth pulled get any better than "feeling at home"? Thank you Treehouse for all you do for my family and our community, may you be soo blessed

We had such a good experience at Treehouse! This place is a dream dental office for kiddos. They have an adorable treehouse and slide play area that my kids fell in love with. Not to mention everyone was very friendly and efficient. When we left my kids said, "those people were really nice!" Thanks for a great experience!

Front office staff: Fabulous! They have been informative, supportive and gracious. So thankful for direction, reminders and good communication! Hygenists: Above and beyond! The way each interaction has been with ALL of them is cheerful, kind and gentle. They have such a way of putting my boys at ease during exam, cleaning and care. Dr. Erin: Excellent. Her dedication to our children's dental health, ability to speak positively and with assurance to each person, and commitment to educating about self care, are an incredible asset to our community. We are BLESSED to have TREEHOUSE kids FOR our KIDS!

This place is amazing! We were referred because our 2.5 yo needed an emergency tooth extraction, and the entire staff could not have been friendlier or more skilled at working with kids. They were kind, patient, and efficient. The office is beautiful and has everything you could want to keep kids happy and entertained...in fact, despite having a tooth pulled without general anesthesia, my kiddo had so much fun playing while we were waiting to see the dentist, he keeps asking to go back! Will definitely return here for all our future cleanings and appointments.

We've been going here for a couple of years now and everyone in the office is great! They were able to get my daughter in quickly for some achy teeth and we're able to fix them that same appt which both her and I were thankful for. My kids and I are so happy to have found Treehouse!

We had a great visit here! Not only do they accept OHP, but they have toys, movies and an entire treehouse with a slide. My 3yo son was worried about getting his x-rays, so they had they worked with us to make him feel safe. They also have prize tokens, and cool prizes!

After an extremely bad experience at another local pediatric dentist, we were referred to treehouse by my own dentist and they did not disappoint. The office is beautiful, multiple play areas, extensive preventative long term care in addition to comprehensive treatment plans of current dental repairs. We were treated like family from the get go. My daughter was born with enamel issues (as was I and most of my family), the language surrounding the issue was "if this were my kiddo this is what I would do...". To me that is the most important thing outside of experience. They give advice as if these kids were their own. As far as how the experience went for my daughter, she wants me to schedule her and her sisters appointments on different days so she has more opportunities to play at their office. Safe to say she loves it too. :)

Originally, we had a good experience. But lately, not so much. One, your schedule. Off on Monday's but only surgeries on Fridays. Causes limitations for working parents. Two, your staff needs to be retrain on your phone usage. Being hung up on isn't professional.
