Dr. Jonathan Trecker joined the staff of Family Dentistry in July 1996 after completing his education. He began at Colgate University, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. In 1988, he received his M.S. in developmental biology from Tulane University in New Orleans. From there, he attended the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine and earned his DMD in 1994. Finally, Dr. Trecker completed his education with a two-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Connecticut. Today, Dr. Trecker is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Trecker grew up in the shoreline town of Old Lyme, Connecticut, and he currently lives in Hampden, Massachusetts, with his wife, Melissa, and their two children. In his spare time, he enjoys running, skiing, cheering for the UCONN Womens basketball team, and golfing. Dr. Trecker is also a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees.
Dr. Marcus Lopez graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1995, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry. From there, he earned his dental degree in 1999 from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and graduated in the top 10% of his class. Also at Tufts University, Dr. Lopez was a member of the National Dental Honor Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) and received an award in Oral Pathology upon graduation. In June of 2000, Dr. Lopez completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the University of Connecticut Healthy Center. Following this program, he joined our practice. Dr. Lopez is an active member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Jacquelyn graduated from Springfield Technical Community College and is a registered dental assistant. She is also certified with the Dental Assisting National Board. When Jacquelyn joined Trecker and Lopez Family Dentistry in 1994, she spent her first 20 years working as a certified dental assistant. Since 2014, she has become our practices office manager. Jacquelyn loves being an office manager because she gets to know each of our patients by name, and she helps our entire office run smoothly so that each patient can have a positive experience. Jacquelyn loves reviewing treatment options with patients and answering any questions you may have about your options or insurance. She is also the one who will help you find the best payment option for your dental care. Jacquelyn is happily married to her husband, Mike. She has 2 daughters, Ally and Sammy, 2 stepsons, Anthony and Joe, and 2 dogs, Bandit and Bruno. In her free time, Jacquelyn enjoys reading, exercising at the gym, walking her dogs, shopping, and traveling.
Penny joined the Trecker and Lopez Family Dentistry team in 1995. She enjoys getting to know our many patients, and she cares about their problems while she strives to collect treatment payments as gently as possible. To Penny, our team and patients are like family. Penny is the proud mother of 3 children and grandmother to 8 grandchildren. When she is not at work, she is an avid reader and enjoys knitting.
Ann Marie joined our practice in 2006. She is one of the first people you will see when you visit our office, and her friendly personality is sure to make you feel welcome. She is also available and happy to help meet your needs during your visit. Ann Marie has been happily married for 45 years. She and her husband have 3 sons, 7 grandchildren, and 2 dogs. In her free time, Ann Marie enjoys reading, sewing, shopping, and belonging to the Rotary Club.
Alexandra joined our practice family in 2014, and she is in her senior year at AIC, where she is working to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After graduating, she plans on continuing her education and receiving her masters degree in nursing. In the meantime, Alexandra loves being able to greet our patients with a smile, and she enjoys being part of a practice that is family-oriented. In her free time, Alexandra enjoys going to concerts and the gym, hiking, and shopping.
Jill has been with our practice since 1979! As a dental assistant, Jill works with our dentists through various procedures, helping to make each patients treatment as comfortable as possible. She loves being part of a team that always works to provide excellent dental care with a smile. Jill enjoys spending time with her family, Peter, Rachel, and Craig. You will often see her singing, humming, and dancing throughout the day!
Charity graduated from Springfield Technical Community College. She is registered as a dental assistant in the state of Massachusetts and is certified with the Dental Assisting National Board. Charity joined our practice in 2004, and she assists our caring dentists to provide each patient with the best dental care possible. She loves being part of a team that is dedicated to the well-being of all patients. When she is not in the office, Charity enjoys being outdoors, and spending time with her son Noah, family and friends.
Kaitlyn has been with Trecker and Lopez Family Dentistry since 2012, and she loves being part of team that feels like family and treats patients like family. As a registered dental assistant, she works hard to make each patient comfortable during their treatment. Kaitlyn enjoys interacting with people on a daily basis and loves being able to help others feel better about their smiles and themselves. She enjoys teaching patients about maintaining overall health and proper dental hygiene. Kate enjoys going to the beach, shopping and exercising at the gym. Kaitlyn is our practices whitening specialist.
Jean has been a part of our team since 1989. Over the years, Jean has gotten to know her patients, and she feels blessed that she has been able to become a trusted dental advisor for many of her patient families. Jean is happily married to her husband, Jim, and enjoys staying fit and going camping.
Pollee graduated from Springfield Technical Community College in 1991 and has been with our practice since 1996. She loves working with both her team and her patients every day; she especially enjoys the fact that years of dedicated service has allowed her to build relationships with her patients. Pollee is married to her husband, David. She has a daughter, Juliette, and a stepdaughter, Shelby. When she is not in the office, Pollee enjoys cooking and reading.
Jennifer graduated from Springfield Technical Community College in 2012 and received the Golden Scholar Award. She has been a part of our practice since mid-2012 and enjoys working with our reputable dentists, experienced hygienists, and friendly team. Jennifer continues her education on a regular basis to provide her patients with the best dental practices. She works hard to treat her patients with respect and provide them helpful knowledge about proper oral care. Jennifer enjoys her job because she feels happy when she feels like she has been able to help someone. Jennifer is married to her husband, Mike, and they have a young son, Emmett, and are expecting another baby in March 2017. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys baking, gardening, being outdoors, and having family time.
Brittany completed the Dental Hygiene program at Springfield Technical Community College with the Ferri Award, which is an award in clinical excellence. In mid-2013, Brittany joined our team and loves being part of our practice family. She works hard to provide patients with proper education and treatments that are necessary to maintain good oral health. Brittany enjoys being with her daughter, Lilyana, and traveling in her spare time. She is also a dance instructor!
