Despite being uncomfortable, dry mouth alone is not a severe issue as long as it is not persistent. If it is, it can lead to various long-term health issues, ranging from irritating to dangerous. Someone who suffers from chronic dry mouth will likely experience mouth sores, splits at the corners of the mouth, cracked lips, increased plaque buildup & a greater risk of tooth decay & gum disease. You might even start to have nutrition issues, because the lack of saliva makes it more difficult to break down food when you eat.

Even if your dry mouth does not seem to be persistent, it is important to stay on top of treating it. The good news is that treatment is simple for most cases of dry mouth. First, make sure you stay hydrated by sipping on water throughout the day. For your dental & overall health, you should drink lots of water anyway! Dehydration, which dry mouth can be a sign of, is a serious health risk.

Other simple things you can do to treat dry mouth include chewing sugarless gum & limiting the salt, sugar & caffeinated drinks in your diet. Some people might recommend sucking on an ice cube or sugarless hard candy, but this can actually damage your teeth, so dont do it! You can also purchase nonprescription saliva substitutes over the counter to reduce your current issues.

If you use tobacco or drink alcohol, cut back on those or find a way to quit. Even if you dont think smoking or drinking is the root cause, those activities can irritate a dry mouth, so you should limit or stop them entirely. Plus, theyre just bad for you!

The best treatment for dry mouth always depends on the specific cause, so if home remedies or over-the-counter solutions dont prevent your dry mouth, it can indicate a more serious underlying health issue. In serious cases it is best to visit a physician or dentist who can work with you to figure out the root cause of your dry mouth & help you treat it.

Dr. Julius Mosley is the best dentist I have ever gone to. He has a wonderful staff and I definitely recommend him.

This is the worst dentist I've ever been to. First he pulls all my my bottom right teeth without even an X-ray and today is at the end of July and it's been almost a full year for me to get my lower partials fitted and complete. Every time he sends them back to the lab it takes several months for them to come back. At this point it's easier to eat without them or even wear them!!!! I've had it

I had two crowns done by Dr. Mosley. I Put the charge on my care credit card. The crowns did not feel right so I went to another dentist for a second opinion and I was correct, the crowns were not put in correctly. I filed complaint with care credit and sent them a letter from my second opinion dentist and won my refund. Now I'm having the crowns re-done. The reason I originally went to Dr. Mosley because he was on my kaiser PPO insurance dentist list.

This man is a quack...Vallejo office, wanting cash payments, running a root canal scam with his son in the office .Saying you need a lot of undocumented work. Also Kaiser is the insurer. So said all complaints must be within 90 days...they can't possibly even understand that can not be done. 5 years of fraud and my teeth are all gone but 6. All I wanted was to do was maintain my teeth.Needed them cleaned and he said why her teeth are clean. He did a 8 tooth bridge that broke, 8,000 dollars a cantilever bridge 1200.00 dollars Some payments he wanted cash payments of 500.00 twice to different dentist. Saying they don't take debit cards or credit cards or have care credit. Dr.Mosley has old equipment and I agree with the sanitizing remark, of another review, He was absolutely a fraud dentist, I was told by an old friend trying to warn me Joanne they are devils, I agree with him 100%. Various other payments were made too and 2,000 also was paid to an emergency dentist because Mosley never returned calls nor the service .would never recommend!

This PLACE IS UNPROFESSIONAL! On EVERY LEVEL 1. The place equipment is outdated 2. The tools are unsanitary and old they don't even put plastic over the film that they put in your mouth to take X-RAY 3. My appointment was for 12pm and they didn't call to the back until 1pm I am reporting them for unclean and unsanitary conditions and Establishment SMH TOTAL WASTE OF TIME I WILL NEVER RETURN AND DONT RECOMMEND. 4. The front desk clerk and a technician was arguing about schedule for their vacations SMH and when I got up to leave Because I was over the entire situation the guy chases me out the building with a piece of paper trying to Explain that their tools get sent to get sanitized I NEVER EXPERIENCE THAT AT NO DENTIST! ONLY THING THAT SHOW ME WAS I WAS 100% RIGHT WHILE HE was trying to justify

Scammer. Tried to tell me I had a tumor in my mouth on the x-rays. Seems to have leaked this to other individuals and started a false rumor about me having a brain tumor.
