Asheville native Travis Calhoun knew early that he wanted to be a dentist, just like his dad. In fact, the inscription in his seventh grade yearbook ends with the suffix DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery, in case you have always wondered what those letters stood for but were afraid to ask).
