Super nice people and great, modern facility. Dropped to 2 stars after years of going there due to no longer being able to trust their ability to identify a cavity that needs work (or in my case, doesn't- multiple times). The first visit, oh you'll never have a cavity, you have awesome teeth. Then multiple visits after, a cavity needs to be filled, Ok great let's fill it. But at least two, maybe three times they would keep saying I have a cavity and fill it, but afterwards say oh that was a weird super shallow one, or it was a funny/odd cavity - implying there really wasn't much cavity. So they're drilling my teeth away to make a profit at my health's expense. Really a bummer as I want to trust them because they're so great otherwise! Just a note to be careful.

Comfortably the best dental office I've ever been to. Every single person I interacted with was incredibly kind and professional. Very clean and modern. They have clearly gone out of their way to create a stellar patient experience. I will be a patient here for as long as they are open and actively encourage anyone who needs their services to let them take care of you.

Just from the last experience there. The dental whitening was non-satisfactory and felt like a rip off. The new dental hygienist, barely clean your teeth right. This use to be a fantastic office pre-Covid. Things really changed. And yes, you do feel rushed .

The front desk and billing department is very hard to work with. All they are interested is money. I will not come back. I had 2 insurances and the primary insurance refused to cover, which the Traverse Mountain Family Dental should bill my second insurance as the primary in this case (only found this out recently, and the 2nd insurance told me the dentist office should do this for me when it happened. Traverse Mountain Family Dental never said I had other options). Instead, Traverse Mountain Family dental threatened me to pay for the whole amount (over $1000), otherwise they would send my bills to collection company. I paid in full and spent months calling the primary insurance to get my money back. If Traverse Mountain Family dental told me the other option, I would not have to go through these pains. I also found out they didn't file properly for one bill, and Traverse Mountain Family dental asked me to pay for the full amount, which is not fair for the patient.

Never had any issues here. They don't seem to be trying to get every penny from me. Which I guess is the best you can ask for in a dentist.

I left this office with a pit in my stomach all three times I went. I consistently felt like money was the most important thing to them. Cleanings were rushed, every possible x-ray was taken, special toothpastes and other items for extra cost were highly recommended and encouraged to purchase as we were walking out. We declined most of this, but it certainly tainted our experience. If you know your insurance well and can handle saying no multiple times, you'll be fine. But we've decided to find another dentist that will hopefully provide us with a better customer experience.

Amazing. The best dentist office I have ever been to. Did a crown and treated three cavities. What I loved about this place is the honesty, they give you the price sheet and set out expectations. Got the opportunity to work with both dentists, they both are AMAZING! Never loved going to dentist, and this place changed my mind(:

So I started off with different experiences here but through everything thick and thin I have been very impressed with the staff and drs here. Dr. Matthews has been one of the most professional and helpful Dr's I have worked with and even dealt with me when I was a bit fed up with things.

Love this place! I used to HATE going to the dentist before I came here. Jessicah is my go-to hygienist. She is so detail oriented and makes me feel so comfortable! I won't go to anyone else :) I also worked with Dr. Gneiting and Dr. Matthews and they were phenomenal! Thank you so much for your good service

I found TMFD, because I was looking for a dentist that can do same-day crowns. This is very important to me. The old way of getting crowns done is painful and takes up too much of my time. This office scans your tooth, builds a 3D model and can mill/create your new crown in house!! They were able to get me in for a consultation and do my new crown on the same day!! Such great service, amazing technology, and the staff was very good with pain management. There is nothing worse than feeling pain when getting your dental work done. They checked in with me several times and made sure that I was comfortable for the entire procedure. They have earned a loyal customer from me, and I will be referring everyone I know to go to them for same day crown work!.

The nicest dental staff! They make you feel welcome while providing you with top-notch services. I never feel like they are hustling me like some of my former dentists have done. I actually enjoy my dentists visits and would recommend them to anyone who wants quality care.

I was in search of a new dentist. I was referred to Traverse Mountain Family Dental. It was super easy to schedule and get in as a new client. The staff were all really friendly and efficient. I showed up a few minutes early (assuming I need to fill out new patient info) and I was able to get in a little quicker than my original appointment time.

Traverse Mountain Dental has friendly employees who take time to get to know you and provide efficient and thorough cleanings and evaluations. I also received great service for the root canal and crown procedures that they performed recently. The dentists and assistants are knowledgeable and helpful and the quality of the result was excellent.
