Trapnell Orthodontics was founded in 1996, with the first location in Provo, Utah. From a young age, all of the Trapnell brothers were fascinated by science, due in part to their father being a biology teacher and encouraging them to pursue the field. They were all very similar throughout the years with similar interests and hobbies, which led all of them to pursue Orthodontics. For over 25 years, Trapnell Orthodontics has maintained its reputation for excellence in family orthodontic care and customer service. Everything we do is for our patients and their comfort.

Traditional braces use high-quality, stainless steel brackets and wires to straighten your teeth. Modern-day brackets are smaller than the braces of the past, making them much more comfortable. If you are ready to straighten your teeth, traditional braces are an economical and effective solution.
Ceramic braces are made of clear material, making them less noticeable than traditional braces. They also employ a smaller bracket design, though they are still strong and durable. Ceramic braces are usually preferred by our patients who are looking for a discreet way to straighten their teeth.
We monitor your children as their mouths grow and change, allowing us to intervene early and prevent potential orthodontic problems. Treating your children for situations as and before they arise can mean fewer procedures and less expense in the future.
Dr. Chris Trapnell completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University; he went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Colorado and his masters degree in orthodontics from the University of Louisville. He has been providing outstanding orthodontic care since 1999. He maintains active membership with the American Association of Orthodontists and Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists.
Outside the office, Dr. Chris loves spending time with his family, his wife Sheri and his children Michael, Nicole, Samuel, Connor and Aubrie. He volunteers his time to the Boy Scouts of America and is an active LDS church youth leader. He also enjoys flying, camping, river rafting and hunting.
Dr. Greg Trapnell completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and earned his doctorate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He earned his specialty certification in orthodontics from Jacksonville University. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Outside the office he volunteers with the Boy Scouts of America and is a LDS church leader. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Noel and his three children, camping, riding his motorcycle and river rafting.
Dr. Brian Trapnell has been providing outstanding orthodontic care since 1996. He earned his doctorate from Oregon Health and Science University and his specialty certification in orthodontics from New York University. To stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of orthodontics, Dr. Brian maintains active memberships in numerous prestigious professional organizations such as the American Association of Orthodontics and Rocky Mountain Association of Orthodontics. Dr. Brian is a consultant for Opal Orthodontics and has developed and co-developed numerous orthodontic products.
Outside the office, Dr. Brian enjoys spending time with his family. He has 7 children. He volunteers with Boy Scouts of America, is a youth leader, and is founder of The Giving Smile. He also enjoys aviation, flying both fixed wing and rotor craft. He loves hunting, fishing, dirt bike riding, fly boarding, wake surfing, and pyrotechnics.

my retainer broke so I needed a place to go Dr. fixed it and only made me pay $50 which is less than a normal repair which was great bc i'm a poor college student. Two weeks later my wire split completely he fixed it so so quickly and was so nice making sure my teeth weren't too sensitive and all that jazz very sweet. Then he decreased the price $50 from the price of $280 to $230 reimbursing me for my last visit! Sweetest team ever go you guys y'all are great !

Best orthodontist ever! They got me on the schedule quickly and my appointment only took 20 minutes to complete a repair on my permanent retainer from a different orthodontist. Great people and great customer service. Would recommend to anyone in need of an orthodontist!

I haven't been to an orthodontics office since I was a kid, but I have since returned. Trapnell was the first office I found due to the amount of good reviews it had and let me just say that I was pleasantly surprised. Trapnell is everything and more of what an orthodontist office should be. Warm, honest, and helpful. I've been coming here for almost 10 months now and thought I would write a review to show my appreciation. If you need orthodontic work done, this is the place!!!! I have had nothing but good experiences with Doctor Trapnell. It's a clean, modern/homey building too which is a huge bonus. Unlike the white wall'd prison cell where I got my braces at as a kid! My conclusion-- go here!

There are so many reasons why I love going to my orthodontist appointments. Not only is the staff amazing, I love seeing the incredible results that Dr. Trapnell and his team have given me! Being an older patient, I wasn't sure of the experience I was going to have but it's nice to see that Dr. Trapnell works with people from all ages. I've recommended friends, family, and clients of my own to go to Trapnell Orthodontics if they want to gain back confidence in their smile!

We love Dr. Trapnell and his staff. They are all so friendly and professional! Dr. Trapnell is so efficient and had our first child out of braces in 13 months. We loved our experience so much that we came back with our next child. I highly recommend Dr. Trapnell!

Every staff member here is so lovely and friendly. It's a great atmosphere where everyone feels like friends. Dr. Trapnell makes me feel heard and he is patient and kind when answering my questions/concerns. Wonderful place!

I had an orthodontic emergency and they really helped me out, even though I have a different orthodontist in Colorado. Got me in the same day, even though they aren't my orthodontist, and they were really nice. Definitely would go here if I lived near Provo when I got my braces on.

I have a retainer that is my lifelong pal. We share all our meals together and even go to every appointment together. This time it was my retainer's turn to get tuned. Prior to scheduling an appointment at Trapnell's, I called another orthodontist who said they were fulled booked for 6 weeks out and wouldn't even consider fitting me in. Trapnell, however, gladly nudged me into a spot. Upon the day of my appointment, I realized Google Maps brings you to building 35505 instead of 3610, so make sure you go to the Cartier Building if Google Maps hasn't edited the error (I did suggest an edit). As I lay in my chair, waiting to be served, I pondered for only a few seconds before I was attended to. Within a few minutes my retainer was repaired and fully attached to the back of my teeth. I was in and out in surprisingly, the time allotted for my appointment. Not a bad day, not a bad day at all.

The work done was great and efficient and I'm thankful to have it fixed. The staff was pleasant but something that concerned me was that the Dr. did not wash his hands between patients. I saw him take off his gloves and then use hand sanitizer, (which is great, but, hand washing is preferable during these times) and then switched his gloves. I would prefer if the staff was a little more careful. Also I had to wait about an hour before they actually started on me. Otherwise, thank you for the work done.

Highly recommend, they keep me up to date on everything that's going on with my teeth, and a couple times i had a problem with the brackets breaking they took care of it that day. Great work environment much appreciated!

We love Dr Trapnell and his staff! They are very professional and always make us feel welcome. We never feel rushed or pushed through as a number. There front desk staff is phenomenal as well! They always have something fun going on for the kids to participate in. It's easy to see Dr Trapnell takes pride in his work and wants everyone to feel their best. My son and husband are both currently in braces and we are very happy with the progression so far!
