I am excited to be part of a practice that puts the patient first while creating an atmosphere of calm and comfort to provide the best possible patient experience. I love the teamwork mentality within the practice and hope to continue to build trusting relationships with my team and patients.
Educational Background: After graduating from the University of Washington in 2003, I attended dental school at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, graduating in 2008.

What is your favorite part about interacting with patients? Im passionate about getting to know patients beyond their dental health their interests, hobbies and activities. Being able to see patients multiple times a year on a regular basis allows me to stay in touch with people in our community!
What do you do outside of the office for fun or as a hobby? I am an avid sports fan if you didnt know the score of last nights game, youll probably hear about it while youre in the office (Go Huskies!). I also enjoy golfing, skiing, and taking in the occasional rock concert.

What is your favorite part about interacting with patients? My favorite part is the interaction with many different people. Each patient has a story to tell, and every procedure provides a different challenge.
Why do you like this practice and coming to work every day?Because each day I get the opportunity to provide a positive impact on the oral health and self-confidence of others; its extremely rewarding and enjoyable.
What is your favorite part about interacting with patients? I enjoy getting to know patients over their lifetime and having something I can do with my hands to help. I also enjoy getting to know them and always learning something new.
Educational Background: I graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Minor in Sculpture. Fight On! I graduated from NYU College of Dentistry in 2017, summa cum laude, with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery and selectives in Orofacial Pain and Periodontics. After graduation, I served in the Navy for four years, where I attended a general dental residency at Great Lakes Naval Station, with an emphasis in Endodontics and Oral Surgery. I also served on the USS NIMITZ as a general dentist and was deployed to the South China Sea and Arabian Gulf. Hooyah!
Continuing Education Courses Attended: I continue my education weekly through the Spear Online Education platform, focusing on esthetics, complex restorative treatment and new up-to-date dental materials and techniques.
Why do you enjoy the dental profession? Dentistry is the perfect mix of medicine and art. I love helping change the way people see themselves through their smile. I especially enjoy cosmetic dentistry, getting to help patients achieve their perfect smiles, and performing root canals, providing a stress-free experience while eliminating pain and infection.
What is your favorite part about interacting with patients? I enjoy helping people achieve their oral health goals. It is my mission to be transparent and honest. Patients are ultimately in charge of their own dental care. Im here to notify you of any potential issues or concerns that I may see and help you solve them. I pride myself on providing honest feedback and thorough explanation of issues through pictures and x-rays, and leave the decision up to you to move forward. I give multiple treatment options and let each patient decide on a treatment plan that best suits their specific needs. There is never pressure for you to proceed with treatment youre not comfortable with.
What do you do outside of the office for fun or as a hobby? I love action sports and am always looking for a chance to snowboard, mountain bike, hike or wakeboard. If I am not outside, I am usually eating; my husband is an amazing cook.
Educational Background: I graduated from PIMA Medical Institute in May 2021 with an associates degree in dental hygiene. In 2011, I attended the University of the West Indies where I obtained my associates degree in supervisory management and computer applications (honors). In 2010, I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education (honors) at Consortium of Institutions for Teacher Education. I also graduated from the College of Agriculture Science and Education in 2002 with a diploma in elementary education. I am also a certified nursing assistant and mental health technician.
Why do you like this practice and coming to work every day? I have a wonderful team of dedicated individuals who are all passionate about their work and have a desire to make a difference in the profession.
Continuing Education Courses Attended: A ton! I love going to dental conventions where I get to learn all day and walk around to see all of the vendors and different dental companies. Plus, I get to meet new people in the dental field.
Why do you enjoy the dental profession? I love building relationships with patients and getting to know them; its my favorite part of the job. I also enjoy educating patients and helping them love their smile. Growing up, my mom worked at our dental office so I have always loved being in the office.
Why do you like this practice and coming to work every day? I love the environment here. Everyone is very friendly and we get along great. We work really well together and teamwork is huge between us. I also really love my patients!
What do you do outside of the office for fun or as a hobby? I LOVE traveling; it is my favorite thing to do. I also really like the outdoors and am always looking for something to do outdoors. Fitness has been a passion of mine for a long time, so if Im not on vacation or at work youll usually find me in the gym!
Pets and Family: I have a 2-year-old Golden Retriever named Oliver, but he usually goes by Ollie. He is so sweet and snuggly but also has a ton of energy. He loves to play and go to the dog park. He also loves the water and goes swimming any chance he gets, even if it means laying in a mud puddle.
Why do you enjoy the dental profession? I love educating patients on their oral health needs and making a difference in the way patients feel about themselves. I enjoy helping people become more confident about their smiles.

My favorite parts of interacting with patients are building a relationship of trust, helping overcome dental anxiety, helping them feel comfortable and safe in the dental chair, and providing gentle but effective preventive dental services.

What do you do outside of the office for fun or as a hobby? In my off time, I enjoy spending time with my family, being the loudest dad at my sons soccer games, making my partner and others laugh with my corny dad jokes, serenading my family and friends with my karaoke skills, and restoring/repairing all the things breaking in my 1920s home with the help of YouTube.
What is your favorite part about interacting with patients? I love dentistry because of the people. Building relationships, educating my patients and helping them work through their fears and anxiety are my favorite things.

Best dental work that I've ever had done - hands down. I had a root canal done on one of my canines. Canines have very deep canals. Yet, somehow, hours later, I feel as though barely anything took place in my mouth this morning. You would not know by the way that I feel, that they were digging around and drilling through a tooth. I haven't felt a single inclination towards Ibeuprofine. I admittely, have a pretty high pain for tolerance, but this is still excellent. One of the most notable things about it is that one of the worst experiences of the dentist is that Novacaine feeling in your gums and lips all day. They must be using a high qaulity product because I am not even experiencing that numbness. The dentist was also very alert to ensuring that I didn't experience any unnecessary discomfort. I had one moment where when she was pulling the root, it stung up in my eye slightly, but it was very brief and as I said she was very alert. Excellent customer service, so props to the assistants and front desk. I enjoyed a friendly conversation with the receptionist prior to my appointment. The environment is very inviting and serene highlighting their niche. Bathrooms are even stocked with wash clothes, toothe brushes, toothe paste, and mouth wash. Finally, I also have found Tranquility Dental to be pretty affordable unlike the others that boast affortability in their names or advertisements, but you find that it is quite the opposite. Tranquility Dental is on its way to becoming my dental caretaker for life as long as I live in a region where they do business if they stay with what is currently making them successful.

I really enjoyed the whole experience. Melisa was amazing and really made me feel relaxed during the whole appointment, all the staff was very welcoming. Dr Arnold is super easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable during my visit.

Had such a good experience at this office! It was pretty busy when I came in so I had to wait a little past my appointment (which is expected in any healthcare setting right now) and the receptionist was so sweet and let me updated and gave me a gift card to the Anthem coffee shop next door. The dental assistant, hygienist, and dentist answered all of my weird questions and gave me helpful guidance to avoid cavities in the future (like to stop using my waterpik in place of floss). I'm switching from an office that was definitely trying to make money by "catching my cavities early" so it was SO refreshing to have the staff be so honest and trustworthy. Have been recommending this office to my friends and family.

Wonderful experience. Loved how attentive everyone was. The online portal for putting in info was easy to use and thorough. Staff was amazing from front office to hygienist and dentist. Probably the best dental cleaning experience I've had. Highly recommend. Our family will be coming to Tranquility Dental Wellness from here on out.

Where else can you get a soothing eye treatment, aromatherapy, massaging and heated chairs, paraffin hand dip, and more spa experiences all while having your teeth cleaned!? Staff, hygienists, and dentists are all wonderful, and you can't beat the setting on the Ruston waterfront.

I came in with a wisdom tooth that was causing me A LOT of pain! When I got in, I filled out the paperwork and went back to get X-Rays and the dentist, Dr. Arnold, looked at my teeth. She told me there was an ulcer in my mouth and a BAD cavity, we decided to remove it day of. I waited 30 minutes which for a last minute extraction which isn't bad at all! I have never had numbing shots that didn't hurt and I barely felt the ones she gave me, 15 minutes later and I am in WAY less pain. I can't thank the team there enough for getting me in on short notice and being able to extract that day!

I would highly recommend Tranquility Dental! The experience is above and beyond. The environment is relaxing, and the complimentary items during my appointment add comfort to the overall experience. Madison gave me the most thorough and excellent cleaning I have ever had. The front office staff is kind and friendly. Dr. Arnold is so wonderful! She cares about patient health and comfort and takes time to listen and understand patient needs.
