Dr. Balsly, aDentistin Mason Ohio, is a unique kind of dentist. He takes a gentle approach, easing any concerns you might have by providing valuable patient education. He listens so he can best understand your particular needs. Then he strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using his skilled training in the latest advances in dental technology.
Dr. Balsly completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Ohio State University. He went on to complete an advanced training program at the Department of Veteran Affairs. Prior to creating Trailside Dental Care, Dr. Balsly obtained valuable experience while employed in several private practices throughout Cincinnati and Dayton.
Doctor Balsly is dedicated to helping those less fortunate. He has volunteered at several Safety Net clinics throughout Ohio. He volunteered to work with mentally and physically disabled patients. He has treated disabled Veterans. If you are a patient of our practice and know of a person in need, do not hesitate to ask for help.
Doctor Balsly grew up in Cincinnati. He attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio. He graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems. He was employed at Accenture as a Business Consultant before attending the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Doctor Balsly lives with his family in Cincinnati. He is a life long Reds fan. The Bengals make him cry every Sunday.
At Trailside Dental Care, Dr. Balsly strives to operate the practice with a core set of Values. We also seek to create Value for our patients by offering high-quality dental care at a reasonable price. Trailside Dental Care offers a larger variety of services at a lower cost than most practices in the Greater Cincinnati area. These services include but are not limited to, IV Sedation, Botox Therapy for TMJ disorders and esthetics, Surgical Procedures not commonly provided by Dentists, as well as minor Laser Therapy.
Dr. Balsly was raised in Cincinnati with a Catholic influence in his upbringing. While he strives to live and practice by a core set of values developed throughout his life, all religions and backgrounds are encouraged and valued at Trailside Dental Care.
Trailside Dental Care also recognizes it does not make you a bad person if you neglect your dental or medical health, whether it has been 5 years or a lifetime. We have many patients who come to us after neglecting their mouth for many years, and you will often hear Dr. Balsly say, There is nothing we can do about the past but learn from it. The important thing now is fixing your current issues and preventing issues from happening again in the future.
Around 30 years ago, dentists were more trusted than physicians. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Corporate dentistry and many foreign dentists have created a situation where patients have seen dental practices who value profits more than the treatment and well-being of their patients. Core values that were once held by most dentists have now become less common and harder to find in the dental industry.
Integrity is one of the core values at Trailside Dental Care. We give our best efforts to treat you as we would want to be treated, and we hope you have this same outlook. Conducting ourselves with a core set of values will always take precedence over other priorities.

Knew Dr. Balsly for over a decade, even before his TrailSide Dental practice. He's been phenomenal over the years. Still have "PTSD" from my childhood experiences with the dentists, but am 100% comfortable with Dr. Balsly. My whole family goes there; Dr. Balsly had been seeing my kids since they were little and they have absolutely no fear of going and actually enjoy the experience. What makes this place extra special is the staff. Everyone is very friendly, knowledgeable and they all do take care of you as if you were a family. The atmosphere they all crate is genuine and rarely seen nowadays. Kudos to y'all at TrailSide! Lori, you especially! Highly recommend.

The four crowns I got were poorly seated one of the four didn't last 3months I now live in Frisco, TX I'm at the dentist now having to get all the work redone. I'm a truck driver so time is precious to me and here I am redoing way overpriced dentistry work again.. The dentist ask me if Trailside was still in business if so they shouldn't be..

I have been to dentist all over this great country. This office is by far the greatest I have been to. I have had no issues with this office. The staff there are knowledgeable and courteous. They actually take the time to explain everything that they do. The billing department is exceptional. The lady that does the billing is amazing, she knows her job inside and out. The problem that I have had with every other dentist I have been to, the work and mainly the billing, being over charged for work that is completed even though the dentist were in-network with my insurances. I have a dentist that I visited 15 minutes away from my home, the same issues arised with the over charging and the in-network office visits. I will gladly drive the hour and fifteen minutes from my house to Trailside Dental Care. The office, the staff, and Dr. Balsly himself cannot be beat!!! I personally would like to thank everyone at this office for their exceptional service!!!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Chris Balsly for all of our dental care needs for nearly ten years. He and his entire staff are always friendly and professional. The office is conveniently located in Mason, and they utilize the latest technology in dental equipment. We will continue to refer our family and friends to Dr. Balsly.
