He has shared his knowledge in other ways, advising the American Dental Association on the creation of dental software programs and consulting on the development of educational materials. In addition, he has conducted lectures both nationally and internationally on cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Tozzer graduated from Emory University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, then received his DDS degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 1979. He holds dental licenses in North Carolina and California. His professional affiliations include:
Dr. Tozzer is the founder of Dental Care for Children (DCFC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing free dental care for underserved children. The foundation has participated in more than 310 clinics in the United States, Mexico, and Haiti, donating time, money, and dental services to children who would otherwise not receive proper and basic care. DCFC has helped start clinics in Guatemala, El Salvador, Morocco, Uganda, and Nicaragua.
A member of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Tozzer has received numerous honors and awards for his selfless service to others, including an honorary Paul Harris Fellow Award from the Irvine Rotary Club as well as recognition from the cities of Huntington Beach and Irvine.

Michelle has worked in dentistry since 1981 and came to Tozzer Dental in 1996. She is a registered dental assistant. Like the rest of our team, she loves caring for patients. Her hobbies include cooking, spending time with her family, and walking.
Nitta has been working in dentistry since 1978 and joined our practice in 1986. She keeps her skills up-to-date with advanced training in areas like laser dentistry and sedation dentistry. She loves working with patients and helping them improve their smiles. Her favorite pastimes outside of work include working in her garden, creating succulent arrangements, baking sweets, and going to dog shows.
Whitney has been employed in dentistry since 2012 and joined us at Tozzer Dental in 2016. She is certified in diode laser, inhaled sedation, local anesthesia, and CPR/BLS/first aid. She keeps her skills fresh by taking more than 25 hours of continuing education every year. She loves seeing patients follow her advice and notice improvements in their oral health. She also enjoys chatting and getting to know everyone! Her favorite activities include yoga, outrigger canoe paddling, traveling, and drinking coffee.
Colla has been in the dental field since 1997 and joined the Tozzer Dental team in 2006. She enjoys working with our patients and with Dr. Tozzer. She likes to stay active, especially with hiking, running, and other outdoor activities.
