Townsend Family Dental Centers dental philosophies are established on personal integrity and science. Dr. Townsend informs his patients of the best treatment needed and goes above and beyond the standard of care to the best of his ability.
This alone can make a dentist successful, but in his care a patient will receive more than that. Dentistry is a very personal service that requires the establishment of a rapport and trust. Dr. Townsend provides family dentistry with a personal touch and makes a point to be an excellent listener to his patients needs.
We will serve and support Liberty County and surrounding areas as a center for dental care and as an active supporter of the medical community. We will contribute to the dental care of the poor and the underserved here in our community.
Brionna graduated from Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She has her degree in AAS in Dental Hygiene and is pursuing her Bachelors in Dental Hygiene at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is certified in the state of Tennessee to administer local anesthesia, perform laser therapy, and administer nitrous oxide. Her favorite part of the job is being able to make a difference in her patients oral health by educating them on the importance of a proper oral care routine. Outside of work, Brionna loves spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and traveling!
Canda graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University. She has a bachelors degree in science and an associates degree in dental hygiene. She loves working in the dental field because it gives her the opportunity to make a positive influence in other peoples lives. For her, its not just educating the patients, but making them feel and know that they are part of the Townsend Dental family. Canda currently resides in Reidsville, GA, where she has been married for over 15 years. She has three children; Stephen, Kaedan, and Kaylee-Ann.
With qualifications from the Bavarian Dental Association in Munich, Germany, Evelyn enjoys spending her days as an expanded Duties dental assistant. Educating her patients and making them smile is the highlight of her job. Evelyn has a dog with her husband, and enjoys traveling in her free time.
Shatara received her training from the Palmetto School of Career Development in Savannah, GA. She is radiation health & safety certified as well as OSHA and HIPAA trained. As our Lead Dental Assistant, Shatara enjoys helping patients have a positive experience during their visit. She loves traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
Laci received her training from the YTI Career Institute in Pennsylvania. She is radiology certified and OSHA and HIPAA trained. She has been a dental assistant for five years now and hopes to further her education to become a dental hygienist soon! She enjoys working with people and giving them confidence to smile again. Married to her high school sweetheart for four years, together they have one child two if you count her dog, Bo. Laci enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
Rachael received her training from the Palmetto School of Career Development in Savannah, GA. She is radiation health and safety certified, OSHA trained, chairside dental assisting and administration trained, and CPR certified. She enjoys making people smile and feel happy about their smile and appearance. Outside of work, Rachael likes to hunt, fish, ride ATVs, and refurbish old furniture.
Lahoma graduated from Armstrong State College. She has a special training in periodontics with a certificate of completion in non-surgical gum treatment. As a people person, working as a dental hygienist is the perfect job for Lahoma. She finds her job very rewarding as she gets to educate patients on their oral care and watch them put the things she teaches them into practice. Happily married to her husband for 27 years, she has a son, a daughter, and a grandson! She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, working in the yard, and talking with people about the bible.
Ingred received her Bachelors in Social Communications from Universidad Autonoma in Colombia, South America. Ingred is one of the first people who will greet you when you come into the office. She enjoys serving the local community and providing each patient with superior customer service. Ingred has been married for 17 years to her husband, Michael. Together they have 2 boys and 1 girl. In her spare time, she loves gardening and spending quality time with her family.
Tyresha graduated from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors in Management. She loves any chance she gets to interact with patients and help them understand their insurance plans. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her niece and nephews. She also likes to take road trips with her friends, in addition to playing volleyball and softball in her spare time.

The front staff are amazing, always very welcoming and helpful. The dr I saw seemed to be new. Every appointment he seemed to be lost, and stumbling over what to do next. A 2 hr appointment became a 4 hour one, where in he hyper extended my jaw, and rubbed the inside of my mouth raw with his tools. Leaving me in pain for 2 months. I then had 2 fillings that were done by him as well. Both now have sensitivity, as they were too close to the nerve, and he even stated before I left that he felt they are close and that could happen. I had a temp crown put in, which became stuck, I have dental anxiety already so going in is a struggle as is. While they discussed what they would do next the tech informed the dr that the material he used to adhere my crown was more likely to become stuck than whatever the second option was. They pulled and picked at it, causing pain. Every appointment I went to had major hiccups, and caused me to lose confidence in the dentist.

My kids have been going here for nearly 5 years, and we have always had the best experience. Today, Dr. Townsend went above and beyond to accommodate my child during an emergency visit. He has an excellent bedside manner and is an exceptional dentist. I am very picky when choosing dentists. I highly recommend Dr. Townsend and his amazing staff!

I rarely leave reviews but, as a physician myself having worked in clinics, this office, staff and the doctors there are all exceptional! It was a very pleasant experience. Dr Townsend was very friendly and accommodating.

My children and I walk into the lobby for their cleaning appointments we've waited on for MONTHS... a mother and son were the ONLY people in the lobby waiting, they had masks on. The staff had masks on... doesn't bother me. I won't wear one ... the staff asked me if I have a mask I politely responded with no I do not. They asked if they could give me one and I said no thank you. They told me it was the "policy"... I said there's only 2 people in the lobby and there are no longer any CDC requirements for mask wearing. I went to the restroom and sat down back in the lobby while my children were taken back. A staff member approached me to inform me that if I didn't want to want outside or wear the mask then the Manager said they would be unable to perform the services on my children because I wouldn't wait outside or put a piece of paper over my mouth. There were 2 other ladies in the lobby with both of their masks down below their noses at which point I made note of it to them and they still refused us service. They sent my children out to the lobby and asked us to leave. Also locked the door behind us. I decided since we've waited for months and had to take my children out of school for these appointments to ask them to do the services and I'll wait outside... What kind of practitioner denies services to children because their parent doesn't want to wear a mask!!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!!!?

This place is great! From the moment I called to schedule my appointment to the moment I left, everyone was super helpful and professional. There was no wait as they still take COVID into consideration, which made me feel more comfortable. Dr. Townsend and the hygienists who assisted him were more than happy to answer my many questions so I understood what was going on. 10/10 would recommend, absolutely great!

By far, the best dentist and dental assistant ever. Heather and Dr. Townsend listened and were patient, gentle, kind, and professional. They kept the discomfort and anxiety low. I don't want to go anywhere else.

Today was the third experience with this company and continues to be excellent. My oral hygienist was again very thorough during my cleaning process and gentle on the teeth. They called me to come in early and I was taken to the back for my cleaning within minutes of my arrival. Definitely good for the military community. Respectfully, PC, LPN, SFC, U.S. Army, (Retired)
