Unlike other offices, we have both dentists and specialists right here in the office. Dr. Eileen Brusseau graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Tufts University in Medford, MA, in 1996, where she majored in Mathematics. She went on to continue her education at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine where she earned her DMD degree in 2003. She has been in private practice in Townsend, MA for over 14 years. She was recently elected into Tufts University Alumni Council.

Dr. Eric Gheewalla earned his D.M.D. from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he went on to complete his orthodontic residency in 1993. Since then, he has been in private practice, serving the residents of Medford, Boston, and Brookline. Dr. Gheewalla is a specialist in Orthodontics, a Premier Provider of Invisalign and has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Dr. Gheewalla is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, East Middlesex District Dental Society, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Massachusetts Association of Orthodontists, Tufts Association of Orthodontists, International College of Dentists, American Academy of Dental Science, and the Boston Invisalign Study Club.

Dr. Gheewalla is an active member of The Medford Rotary Club, The Medford Chamber of Commerce and The Tufts University Alumni Association. He enjoys spending time with his family, biking, tennis, travel, reading and photography.

Dr. Leonard H. Strauss, graduated in the top of his class from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1992. He then went on to complete advanced specialty education in periodontics at Boston University in 1994. Boston University has one of the nations leading periodontal programs specializing in the latest techniques of periodontics and multiple implant systems.

A firm believer that a true professional must always be learning and growing he is currently certified in four implant systems. In addition to full time practice, he attends a number of advanced education courses each year.

He is a member of many dental societies including: the Massachusetts Dental Society, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Periodontal Society, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseo-Integration, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Drew received his Bachelors of Science from Boston College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and graduated with Honors to receive his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Tufts University Dental School.

Dr. Drew is a member of several dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, Merrimack Valley District Dental Society, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He is also committed to keeping current with all new dental procedures through continuing education, having completed programs at The Scottsdale Center for Dentistry; Piper Education Research Center, St. Petersburg FL; and The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, St. Petersburg FL, along with many other courses and workshops.

Dr. Perlitsh graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1991. Upon graduation, she was inducted into the prestigious National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She also received the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award for Excellence. Following graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in 1992. Following her residency program, she returned to the Tufts University Post Graduate Orthodontic Program, where she earned her degree in 1994.

Dr. Rachel is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of Dental Science. In addition, she was recently selected by Worldwide Whos Who as a VIP Professional of the year, recognizing her commitment to excellence within the orthodontic profession.

Dr John Gentuso earned his D.M.D., Summa Cum Laude, from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1983. He went on to complete a General Practice Residency at University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Dr Gentuso owned a Family Dentistry practice in Medford, Massachusetts, for 32 years. He joins the Townsend Dental Group to continue his commitment to providing quality care to local families.

Dr Gentuso is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. He enjoys reading, exercise, art, active vacations with his wife, and spending time with his adult children and grandchildren.

Erin is a graduate of Franklin Pierce University and has been working in the dental field for nearly two decades. As our insurance coordinator, Erin stays busy with insurance and patient billing, insurance checks, following up on overdue claims, helping out with patient accounts, and getting pre-approvals from the insurance companies. Being in this line of work is beneficial to Erin because she loves working with people to help them whether its understanding their insurance benefits or answering questions about a bill. She loves helping all patients maximize their coverage and complete their treatment plan with ease. Erin is always cheerful, kind, funny, friendly, and prompt. Outside of work, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. Erin loves going on walks and reading a good book.

Joyce is a graduate of Newbury College in Boston and Mt. Ida College in Newton with a few years of experience working in the dental field. Joyce is responsible for checking patients in and out, assisting with new patient paperwork, billing insurance, answering phones, and more. All the while shes hard at work, Joyce says she loves interacting with patients. Being kind and helpful is in her nature, as Joyce says if she werent working with Townsend Dental Group, shed be volunteering with and helping animals. Outside of work, Joyce enjoys getting together with her family and friends. She loves traveling and vacationing in Oak Island, NC, every year. She has two grown children, Jenna, a seventh-grade teacher, and Jesse, a police officer. Joyce also enjoys walking, spending summer on the beach, along with good seafood, cocktails, and music.

Kendra earned her associates degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. Shes worked in dentistry since 2007 and has been a hygienist for two years. Shes busy around the office tending to things like dental cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants, local anesthesia, sterilization, and cleaning around the office, just to name a few. Kendra loves her work because it gives her the chance to build relationships with patients and educate them on their oral health. After taking a dental assisting program in high school, she chose her career path and ended up with a love for dentistry. Kendra is always organized, motivated, dependable, conscientious, and gentle. When shes not caring for teeth, Kendra enjoys taking day trips with her husband, reading, and watching television. She currently has three cats and a baby girl on the way!

Kendra has been working diligently with patients at Townsend Dental Group, getting some of the industrys best hands-on training. Some of her responsibilities include sterilization, maintaining inventory, and anything related to orthodontic care. Kendra said dentistry was something she enjoyed while growing up, and she always wanted to work with kids. Kendra says that if she werent working in dentistry, shed probably go back to part-time bartending/serving and spend her days with her son. Kendra is caring, smart, reliable, passionate, and thoughtful. She loves being a dental assistant because of the amazing team she works with and the happy environment we try so hard to create every day, thanks to having teamwork thats on point.

Kim has a bachelors degree from the University of New England and has been working in dentistry since 2012. Kim has been a part of the team at Townsend Dental Group since we first opened. Youll see Kim taking care of teeth at the office using special techniques and technology for cleaning. She also takes care of x-rays, fluoride treatments, sealants., local anesthetic, scheduling recalls, cleaning, and more. Kim says she was drawn to dentistry because healthcare has always been fascinating to her, and there will always be a need for it. What she loves most about her job is getting to know and educate her patients about maintaining good oral hygiene. Kim is always organized, reliable, friendly, professional, and flexible. She loves spending time with her family and friends when not working.

Kristine is a graduate of Middlesex Community College, where she earned her associates degree, and shes currently attending Southern New Hampshire University to obtain her bachelors degree in health administration. Kristine is no stranger to the world of dentistry, having been involved in it since 2014, the same year she joined the team at Townsend Dental Group. She found her office manager role came to her just at the right time when she was prepared to re-enter the workforce. What she loves most about her work is getting to know our patients and having conversations with them. Kristine is a multi-tasker whos also hardworking, conscientious, confident, and organized. Outside of the office, Kristine enjoys spending time with her two boys, family, and friends.

Having worked in dentistry since 2001, Laura has gained some valuable experience and knowledge through on-the-job training. Shes passionate about her work and has been a part of Townsend Dental Group since day one! Her responsibilities at the office include assisting with treatments, ordering supplies, sterilization, and accommodating our patients. After receiving a phone call from a friend about over 20 years ago, she decided on this career path, and were sure glad she did. Laura says working as part of a team like ours is unquestionably unique because of our convenient, state-of-the-art location, wonderful staff, and patients. Shes conscientious, outgoing, a cat freak, a bit spazzy, and generally hungry. When shes not working, Laura enjoys traveling to food festivals, cooking, and entertaining.

Sana is a graduate of the Boston Career Institute in Brookline, MA. Shes been working hard in the field of dentistry since 2008. At Townsend Dental Group, Sana is responsible for preparing patients for treatment, helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, and providing great patient care. Sana says being a dental assistant keeps her energetic because she loves creating great results when patients leave happy. Sana says working as part of our team is unique because everyone comes to the office every day with one goal in mind, and thats focusing on and caring for the patients. Sana is always driven, organized, good at communicating, passionate, and ambitious. She volunteers at WIC in Worcester and loves swimming, hiking, traveling, and estate sales.

Sydney is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College and has been working in dentistry for a few years. She helps the dentists and the front desk ensure our daily schedules are running smoothly. The one thing Sydney will tell you that she truly loves about her job is helping people improve their oral health. Sydney says shes always loved going to the dentist and learning about teeth. Working with Townsend Dental Group is a unique experience for Sydney because of how we can see so many kinds of patients because of the specialty care we consistently provide in the community. Sydney is reliable, flexible, compassionate, diligent, and eager to learn. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
