Dr. Ashley (Ash) Smith was born and raised in the shadows of the G Mountain in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He was the 7th of 11 children. He enjoyed playing many types of sports including Football, Baseball, and Basketball. He always had a great love for the sciences and helping people. He moved to Idaho during high school and graduated from Sugar-Salem high school. He worked on spud farms and fast food.
He attended college one year at ISU in Pocatello. Then spent 2 years in Santiago, Chile having some wonderful experiences and learned to speak Spanish. He returned and moved to Utah and finished his Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science and Health in 2001. During this time he married Becky and theyve been married 21 years.
He moved his family across the country to the historic city of Philadelphia to attend Dental School at Temple University. He experienced 4 years of living in a big sports town, and learned the history of the start of our nation. He enjoyed doing community service while in dental school working with inner city youth. He graduated in 2006 and moved back west to Boise.
He has practiced in the Boise area for 14 years. He joined Stevens Dental this year. He enjoys helping patients get out of pain and gain back their smile. He is the proud father of 3 children, 2 of them adopted. He has a mini farm with hay and several chickens. He enjoys coaching and attending sports and wishes he could still play. He likes to travel and experience new people and new cultures. He looks forward to providing caring, thoughtful, and affordable dentistry.
Caitie is originally from Boise, Idaho but has lived in other northwestern states, including Alaska. When she returned to Boise to be near her family, she pursued an education in Dental Assisting. She has been working in dentistry for the past three years and received her Associates Degree in Applied Science the summer of 2020, and loves everything that dentistry has to offer. Caitie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, Lily and Caine. Camping, boating, cooking and gardening are just a few of the many activities she enjoys participating in.
Hello my name is Fernando. Im the dental hygienist here at Towne Square Dental South. Im originally from San Diego Ca and I have been here in Boise ID for 5 years now. I love it. I have been in Dentistry for 15 years. For the past 8 years I have been a dental hygienist. I also have proudly served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps.
Ximena was born and raised in Idaho. Loves spending time on her ranch attending to her horses. Ive always been fascinated by teeth anatomy and always enjoyed going to the dentist. Even before I went to dental assisting school I would beg my parents to take to the dentist. After awhile of researching potential jobs in the healthcare field, dentistry seemed like a really good fit. In my free time I enjoy horseback riding, spending time with family and taking care of my niece.

Totally amazing. Wonderful staff. Very welcoming. I suffer from extreme anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist, they always put me at ease. Fernando is amazing. Great place I highly recommend it!!

I just left Towne square south dental and I am very happy with everyone there and everything that they did and are going to do for me! Everybody there is very friendly, they listened to what I had to say about what I wanted to do with my teeth and getting dentures and they are going to do it. I am very excited about all this. The dentist Mr. Smith is very cool and such a nice guy. I really enjoyed my experience at this dental office and look forward to seeing them again for sure. Thank you all very much! I appreciate you.

Was nervous to switch dentist as I had been going to the same one for quite some time but wanted to find one closer to where I live. Myself & my kids have been seen there now & they are absolutely amazing. Very flexible with getting you seen last minute as well. The dentist himself is very patient with explaining things & the whole staff is great & amazing with kids. Highly recommend them!

Just took my daughter for her very first visit to the dentist ever and they were so much fun with her! They made her feel so comfortable and calm while they looked at her chipped tooth! I'm so glad we chose to come to them for our dental needs

My first and last visit to Towne Square Dental South. I made an appointment for a cleaning and to have a cap recemented. I arrived 15 minutes early as requested. The tech Ashley, took x-rays this took about 5 minutes. At 27 minutes after my appointment time the dental hygienist look at my x-rays and determine I needed a deep cleaning which he would not be performing today. I now waiting for the doctor to cement my cap. At 57 minutes after my appointment Ashley the x-ray tech informed me the doctor was still with another patient. This is when I was I formed there was only one dentist at this clinic. If you have lots of time to waste maybe this is the clinic for you!

I was very impressed with the staff and the dentist! I have terrible anxiety when it comes to the dentist. I have to say I was completely comfortable and reassured and understood about my anxiety. They really cared! And the explanation about my dental health was so thoroughly explained. I would recommend them! This was my first visit!
