Dr. Johnson is a graduate of St. Johns University and graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry with honors in 1996. In 1997, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Balboa Hospital, San Diego, and Naval Dental Center Southwest.
Dr. Johnson served as a Naval Dental Officer for three years, primarily stationed in Japan. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Dental Association, Rotary International, and the Chamber of Commerce. He is also an associate professor of restorative dentistry at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.

This was my first appointment as a new patient. I was nervous but I was greeted with smiles and the front desk was so kind. Every single person that assisted me throughout my appointment was caring, and professional! I was impressed with how thorough Dr. David Harvieux, DDS and explained things in such a way that I could understand.

My search is over. I recently started at Town Dental in Excelsior after being referred by a friend who goes to their Chaska clinic. My friend had nothing but highest praise for the doctors and staff, and now I give my highest praise for Dr. Harvieux, and EVERYONE who worked with me at the Excelsior clinic. Each person had such a calming, light, and friendly presence, I actually enjoyed my visits! Dr. Harvieux gave a more thorough explanation of the condition of my teeth than I've ever had, and he also delivered the most comfortable cavity filling I've ever had. I hadn't been to a dental office in over 2 years, and was surprised by the hygienist who was so quick and efficient in cleaning, and she saw to it that I was completely comfortable as she worked on and around my very sensitive tooth. I look forward to my future visits hopefully for lots of years to come.

I've seen Dr. Harvieux for years and he has always done a great job! He is extremely knowledgeable and has always come up with excellent ideas to help maintain my teeth. I've seen other dentists in the past and either their quality of work wasn't nearly as good as Dr. Harvieux or they only seemed interested in the money. Top notch office and team! I can't recommend them enough!

Weird to Google review a dentist? Oh well. I love this place. I came from another dental practice that oozed social awkwardness and was relentless in their floss shaming (I floss regularly, I swear!). This place is the opposite. Everyone is friendly, genuine, and knowledgeable; telling you what they're doing and why. No tooth shaming, quick and painless cleaning and fillings, and they're great at relieving dentist anxiety. Highly recommended.

The doctors and staff are all super friendly and made me feel very comfortable (I didn't even feel the injection at all). The office is very clean and modern. I would absolutely recommend Town Dental to anyone!

I haven't had any major work done here, but every check-up I've had has been easy, efficient, on-time, and done by very friendly people. Their insurance plan that they offer is reasonable as well.
