Dr. Touchstones commitment to providing the best care possible to the Hattiesburg community is based on a foundation of constantly improving his own skills and knowledgeespecially in regard to advances in dental technology. He is now recognized as one of the worlds leading experts on advanced digital dentistry.
After seeing the positive changes digital technology was making in his patients lives, Dr. Touchstone began teaching other dentists what hed learned. A popular lecturer on digital dentistry, Dr. Touchstone has delivered talks and workshops to audiences around the world. Today, he teaches hundreds of dentists every year how they can use digital dentistry to improve their own patients lives. He has also written many articles and produced several videos on digital dentistry.
Dr. Touchstone graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1990 with a degree in biology, and received his DDS from the College of Dentistry at the University of Tennessee in 1994. For most of his career, Dr. Touchstone has operated a private practice serving Hattiesburg. Dr. Touchstone is proudly affiliated with the Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and is proud to have received a fellowship to International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Touchstone lives in Hattiesburg with his wife and two sons. Hes a licensed pilot with over 2,000 hours flight time, and enjoys travelling with his family and taking long walks around his neighborhood with his miniature Australian shepherd dog.
Denises talents are not solely dental-related. She first attained a degree in Chemistry and upon graduation from Spring Hill College, she created a successful water testing and filtration business in Mobile, AL. Always interested in learning, she later attained her real estate license and joined the Judy Corts RE/MAX real estate team in Hattiesburg. Her team won many awards for excellence and high production during Denises tenure.
In her free time, Denise volunteers with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. Denise is a licensed pilot and loves to fly in her free time! She is also an avid photographer and travels extensively with her husband, Dr. Alex Touchstone (if you hear Dr. Touchstone or Denise refer to each other as honey, now you know why!) Both are also kept busy and entertained with their two teenage boys, Vincent and Jack. To round out the family, they have a cat, Scooter, and a dog, Marco, who is frequently seen behind the front desk protecting his Mama.
Taylor is a graduate of Pearl River Community College in Hattiesburg. Shes a recipient of both the Mississippi Dental Hygienist Association Award and the Sigma Phi Alpha Award for maintaining a 4.0 average throughout the dental hygiene program.
In addition to her RDH licensure, she holds a Bachelors in Health Administration and Education from William Carey University. Taylor enjoys getting to know her patients and ensuring each one feels comfortable and at ease while in her care.
Gina Grace is a graduate of Meridian Community College where she completed the dental hygiene program with High Honors. She was a member of academic club Phi Theta Kappa And received the William D. Mobley scholarship. Gina Grace wants every patient to be confident about their smile and wants to educate patients about their oral health.
Kelly is an honors graduate of Pearl River Community College with a degree in surgical technology and applied science. She has 12 years of experience working in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery with additional training in wound closures. She has a caring and calming nature and enjoys making patients feel happy and confident with themselves while giving her all to every patient.
Faith and family are what Kelly finds most important in her life. She and her husband have one child. An ambassador for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Kelly spreads awareness through social media and public events. In her spare time, she is an avid baker who also enjoys kayaking, camping, being in nature, and spending time with her husband and son.

I asked the dentist. mr.touchstone himself if i could bring my 22 month old son in if i sat him in his stroller in the corner of the room , my son is a very good baby . He said it was fine. i had to leave school early get my son out of school early,rush to my dentist appointment . Anyways he comes in the room and says what is this this isn't a damn daycare , im sorry but I'm refusing service to you . Didn't even let me bring him to my friend in the waiting room to watch my son. He was so rude and just horrible I don't want someone like that touching my mouth anyways. He must really hate children, so i advise you not to bring your child in the room with you. Oh and he charged me 200$ just too kick me out and waste my time. Horrible dentist

Moved to Hburg from neighboring city, randomly chose this dentist. There was no wait for an appointment. Clinic was clean, almost spa-like atmosphere & hygienist experience was good(1 star is for her). On all 3 visits, there was only 1 other patient there. I had a total of 2 cleanings and 1 filling. Initial visit felt as if setting goals and signing an elaborate treatment plan was mandatory. For me, it was a bit awkward to discuss thousands of dollars for cosmetic dream denistry when I was there to have routine cleaning as a new patient. I have dental insurance, but in 3 visits for routine dental care, I paid triple what my son pays at another clinic and what I paid at my previous dentist. Nothing billed was "routine," so your out of pocket expense for cleaning and a filling may be as much as what I paid an oral surgeon for wisdom tooth surgery. I can't recommend Dr. A.Touchstone due to the services were standard care and costs were mind blowing.

By far the best dentist experience I have had . Dr. Touchstone is professional but kind, efficient but takes his time to explain and show and discuss. His staff is knowledgable and courteous and friendly. The office and reception, bathroom, and patient rooms are all sparkling clean. There was no wait time. The prices were far less than I have been charged at two other dental offices in Hattiesburg. The procedures and equipment are up to date. I cannot recommend Dr. Touchstone and Touchstone Dentristry highly enough. If you need dental work and are not particularly fond of having it done, this is your place.

I had two small fillings but they were in my wisdom teeth. Even though they had not caused me any problems, it was recommended that I have them removed. I did not like the idea of pulling perfectly good teeth which did not cause me any problems. Dr Touchstone did a complete examination and confirmed that the interior structure of my teeth was indeed fine. He painlessly filled both teeth and I can barely see the filling because the color match was perfect. I am very pleased and my teeth are happily still with me!

Wonderful office. Staff is courteous and skilled. Wait times are minimal. Dr. Touchstone does excellent work, and is more than willing to lay out options and prioritize treatment. My wife is very anxious about dentists and Dr. Touchstone goes out of his way to make her comfortable. Highly recommended.

My experience with Dr. Touchstone and his amazing staff was truly beyond compare.. my journey with them started with a trip to visit family in hattiesburg where i found myself in excruciating pain from a absessed tooth, when i tell you at 61 with many dental problems this was by far the most wonderful experience i have ever had, is not an exaggeration! SO much so that I scheduled a return visit while on my trip to try and save multiple teeth... while my initial plan included root canals and build up of the teeth, once i arrived, Dr.Touchstone really demonstrated how very skilled he is... along with the cutting edge technology available at his office, he was able to painlessly remove the decay, save the root and build the teeth back!!!!.... I will be visiting again and plan to prepare and schedule any work I need... The trip from NJ is worth the confidence i now have for this awesome company! Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!

This is by far the best dental office I have ever visited. From the moment I first walked in I knew it would be a good experience. This homey office is very warm with light comfortable music playing and incredibly pleasant and courteous staff who try to ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible. Dr. Touchstone himself is also very kind, quite knowledgeable, and easy to talk with. Another point that I was impressed with is that the office, although small, still has some of the latest dental tech in house to service customers which cuts headaches, time, and potential revisits out of the picture. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences at this office and I highly recommend them for anyone needing any level of dental care in the Pine-belt area.

I highly recommend choosing Touchstone Dentistry. The staff is professional, friendly and always there to help. Dr. Touchstone was very thorough explaining my treatment plan options and answering any of my questions or concerns. I did not feel rushed and I could tell Dr. Touchstone and his staff were dedicated to meeting my needs as a patient.

My initial consult with Dr. Alex Touchstone put me at total ease; well as at much ease as one can be sitting in a dentist chair about to have significant cosmetic work done! My 20+-year-old cracked and stained veneers made me extremely self-conscious in both my personal and professional worlds. I went into this procedure not wanting to get my hopes up high, it had been a long time since I had a strong and confident smile that I think matches my personality! I could have entered into Dr. Touchstone's office with the best of expectations and the results would have still surpassed. It's been less than two weeks since he gave me my new smile which has been used quite often - I LOVE IT! Beyond the excellent results, the entire team of Dr. Touchstone was gentle, professional and extremely accommodating to my schedule. Thanks to all.
