I joined the team in 1996. Before becoming the smiling face that greets our patients, I worked as our sterilization technician. My warm personality and people skills ensure that every patient feels acknowledged and welcome. I love people and really enjoy getting to know our patients and their familiesthey are like my friends! I love working with a fun group of girls as well. Dr. Sursely and the rest of the team truly cares about our patients and taking care of their dental needs. It makes coming to work very rewarding.

I have spent 14 years working at Totem Lake Smiles at the front desk and coordinating insurance, and worked at offices in Missouri and Texas for 5 years prior to that. I work hard to help patients understand their treatment, its costs, and how their insurance can help them pay for it. My favorite part of my job is being able to talk with patients about what they want to do to improve their oral health, and finding ways to help them get the most out of their insurance coverage. I love working with Dr. Sursely and our work family here. We laugh and have a great time together, and patients can tell that we genuinely enjoy each others company.

I have a husband and two boys, so my after-work life is spent on the soccer field at the numerous practices, games, and tournaments. If were not playing soccer, we are spending time on our boat or at our family cabin on the Wenatchee River.

I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1997, joining Totem Lake Smiles a few years later. My primary responsibility is to promote oral health through treating periodontal disease with appropriate dental cleaning and patient education. I enjoy working with people educating them on the importance of oral health as it relates to overall health. I also enjoy the long-term relationships I have developed with my patients and my team members over the years.

I currently live in Bothell and enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, skiing, and scuba diving. Recently, I have been bit by the travel bug and have been to Europe three times! I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my dog Huckleberry. I am an active member in the Washington State Dental Hygiene Association through which I volunteer my services to the less fortunate.

In 1997, I began working as a sterilization assistant. I continued my education, graduating from Clark College in 2000 with a degree in dental hygiene, and joined the Totem Lake Smiles team! I love getting to personally know my patients and helping them reach optimal dental health. I especially enjoy creating positive dental experiences for once fearful patients that contribute to eliminating their fear of dentistry. That would not be possible without my teammates; we always look to help each other out and work well together to create a fun, upbeat environment.

My time outside the office is spent with my husband, son, and daughter. We are an active family that enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and traveling. Personally, I enjoy yoga, being active outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.

I attended the dental assisting program at Bellingham Technical College in 1995. I then was accepted into the hygiene program at Lake Washington College and graduated from there in 2001. Nine years later, I became a part of Totem Lake Smiles! While my primary responsibilities are to clean teeth and educate patients on oral health care, I feel that building long-lasting relationships with my patients is just as important. We have a great team here, full of people who truly love what we do!

I grew up in Marysville, Washington and now reside in Kenmore with my husband John and our boys, Evan and Wyatt. They keep us busy playing many sports. We also own a Cross fit gym in Kirkland and love working out. When there is time left over, we enjoy traveling with friends to warm, sunny places!

I graduated from Bellingham Technical College in 2012 with a dental assisting degree. Ive been a dental assistant for 5 years, and have been a member of the Totem Lake Smiles family for 2 years. My favorite thing about being a dental assistant is providing comfort to our patients who are uneasy about coming to the dentist. I make it a personal goal to ensure my patient is well-informed with the treatment thats to be completed, and what expectations will be. In my free time, I spend most of my time with myone yearold son Ezra, and fianc. We enjoy taking the dog for walks at Marymoor Park. My fianc and I share a strong passion for music and try to attend shows or festivals when were able to.

Dr. Pamela Sursely focuses her practice on providing exceptional dental care to her patients in a gentle and caring fashion. She is devoted to both her outstanding clinical skills, and to creating patient experiences that are both friendly and painless. One of her favorite parts of practicing dentistry is developing a relationship with each and every one of her patients. She believes that really getting to know each of her patients is key in her being able to provide more than just exceptional oral healthcare. These relationships help nurture a friendly, trusting environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and discussing concerns, and where treatment options are tailored to meet each patients individual priorities while still maintaining both their oral health and overall well-being. Finally, by truly knowing each patient, Dr. Sursely is able to customize her delivery of care to make sure that each patient is as comfortable as possible throughout each visit.

Dr. Sursely graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2006 as a leader of her class. She then practiced family, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry on the Big Island of Hawaii for four years. She joined and eventually took over Dr. Albert Everett IIIs dental practice in July, 2010, and feels truly honored to work with such a talented staff and to treat such a wonderful group of patients.

Dr. Sursely has been awarded Top Dentist consecutively from 2015-2019 by Seattle Metropolitan Magazine. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and Seattle King County Dental Society. Her volunteer activities have included participation in the Give Kids a Smile program, Veteran Dental Day programs, and speaking to elementary school classrooms about the importance of good oral health. She is committed to continuing education and has attended courses across the country learning advanced techniques on topics ranging from cutting-edge cosmetic procedures and complex implant restoration, to sedation dentistry, surgical techniques, and many things in between.

When not in the office, Dr. Sursely enjoys golfing, skiing, playing piano, attending Husky Football Games (Go Dawgs!), and spending time with her wonderful husband, Mark, her three year old son, Jake, and her dog, Lily.
