Total Transformation Dental and Spa evolved from a dentistry practice opened more than 50 years ago by Dr. D.O. Baxter and his wife, Dorothy, who was the dental hygienist, to a practice that cares for both the mouth and face. Todays dentists, Julie Marshall, DMD and Doug Baxter, DMD and dental hygienist Dee Russell build on their parents drive for excellence and compassion for patients, families and friends by staying abreast of the newest innovations and providing a welcoming and comforting retreat for anxiety free dental and facial treatments.

Today, the expanded practice of Drs. Marshall and Baxter means that patients can have everything done to their face in one place by someone they trust. Total Transformation Dental & Spa pairs state-of-the art dental and facial rejuvenation techniques to transform not only their patients smiles but their total look.

Although their practice bears little semblance technologically to their parents office, their fathers philosophy is still practiced and expounded upon. Drs. Marshall and Baxter and their team dont do dentistry TO you. They do dentistrywith you. It is a philosophy Dr. Duard Baxter reinforced to his children from their early visits to their parents dental office. Dr. Baxter emphasized to his children that theres a person attached to the mouth and thats who is being treatednot just the teeth. The commitment to partnering with their patients is a legacy that continues today. The family has taken this philosophy to new levels as Total Transformation Dental and Spa.

The medical degrees of both Dr. Marshall and Dr. Baxter have an emphasis in family, restorative and cosmetic care. They are among the pioneering Georgia dentists to have received credentialing by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics. They hold memberships in the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Academy of Facial Esthetics and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Following graduation from Medical College of Georgia with a degree in dental medicine, Dr. Marshall joined her fathers practice in 1988. I particularly enjoy working with families to maintain their oral health. After witnessing the results of facial esthetics on myself, I am excited to provide these techniques to help our patients turn back the signs of aging and sun exposure in addition to the various restoration we provide for the mouth. She resides in Alpharetta with her husband Scott and two children and returns to the Winder community daily in order to provide her hometown with the level of expertise offered by Total Transformation Dental and Spa.

Most people dont think of dentistry as an art, but complex dental restoration truly is. From the moment I first review a patients digital X-ray, I begin mulling over the various options to correct the problem. By the time I reach the patient, my strategy is set. To be able to save a tooth that might have otherwise been extracted makes everything worthwhile. By having it all thought out ahead of time, the patient spends less time in the chair. The challenge is what I love about dentistry, and I am so privileged to carry on my parents legacy with my sisters.

My name is Dee Baxter Russell. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have had the unique privilege of practicing with both my parents and both my siblings since beginning my career in 1980. Dentistry is a great field and I love it! I am grateful to be able to serve our wonderful patients and to work with the great team here at Total Transformation Dental and Spa. I have 3 grown children that have all recently married 3 special people. I enjoy spending time with my 6 kids, as well as cooking, gardening, and hiking in the mountains.

I joined Total Transformation Dental and Spa in August of 2019. I am so grateful to be a part of such caring, patient centered office. My goal is to continue to meet the needs of our patients while providing a positive experience.

Im Rhonda, the Esthetician for our practice and the person who takes care of your skin! I was very fortunate to become a part of this wonderful team back in 1998 and recently celebrated 20 years being with these amazing people. I became an Esthetician because I also love to help people. After graduating from Lanier Technical College in 2010, I received my state license soon thereafter. Being an esthetician means that I can help provide a calming experience for our patients, teach them how to properly take care of their skin and help them feel good about themselves. Its been such a wonderful opportunity for me to be able to come to work every day doing something that I absolutely LOVE!

I am happily married with three kids, plus two nieces and one nephew that weve raised as our own. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and my dog Charlie. I also love to paint, read, go indoor sky diving, trail biking, and indoor rock climbing. My happy place though- is the beach!!

I enjoy traveling, visiting new places and spending time with my cats, Leo and Lucca. My other hobbies include hanging out with my friends, spending time with my family, and watching college football. Go Dawgs!

Hi! My name is Leigh Anne. I graduated from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Business Management. I joined Total Transformation Dental and Spa in 2016 and am the Financial Coordinator for our office. I enjoy helping people get the smile they want!

Hi! My name is Lindsey! I graduated from the Winder Assist to Succeed dental assisting program in 2019 and began my journey as a dental assistant! I am so thankful to be surrounded by such great people every day at work and that I get to help other people love their smile. When Im not in the office, Im probably hiking a mountain, going for a run, or hanging out on a boat with my friends and family.
