My wife and I have been going to Total Health Dentistry for a number of years and have always been satisfied with their care. Dr Richardson has always done a great job of cleaning and correcting problems with our teeth and since we are older, maintenance of our teeth is even more important. Many Thanks Dr. Richardson! Post from Clara DeCoster Being a baby boomer, I have had different dentist in my lifetime. Since coming to Total Health Dentistry I realize what was missing in my dental care, a caring dentist, Dr. Richardson, and a caring staff. Theresa and Denise always make you feel comfortable and they love to laugh. I trust them. Thanks Total Health Dentistry

Top notch team to keep your mouth clean! I always enjoy my visit, and conversations with the staff, even though they keep putting stuff in my mouth. Probably to keep me quiet! :D

Dr Richardson and staff are very friendly and helpful. They fully explain what is going to happen during the appointment and if a follow up is needed will explain what needs to be done and why. As much as I hate going to the dentist, they always made sure that I am comfortable and taken care of. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this office when I was searching for a dentist many years ago! Thanks for taking care of my teeth!

I love this place and these ladies! I moved across the river to Iowa and I'd rather drive over the bridge than leave these guys!! Loving these ladies all over again! I got the sweetest thank you card today for staying patient during all this Covid stuff. Truly love this place and dentist and all the other staff too! I'd never go anywhere else! Thanks for the thank you card!

The place is cool and the women that work in the office are nice but I was really blindsided by the bill when it was sent to me. So here's my story... I went for a checkup and it was my first time going to the dentist in years (last time I went to one was when I was under my parents insurance.) So this was my first time going to the dentist under my own adult plan. I don't have much money to my name so I asked numerous times before going if I'd pay any out of pocket expenses because then I'd goto a different place that my insurance would cover. They said I would not and my insurance company would pay for everything since it's just a checkup (I asked before, during and after my visit). A couple weeks later I receive a $209 bill when i was told multiple times i would pay $0.. I was really confused, so I called my insurance company to find out why they didn't cover the bill since it was just a checkup. My insurance company said they informed Total Health before my visit that they were "Out of Network" and they should notify me that I would have out of pocket expenses. So after relaying that information to total health asking why they didn't tell me what my insurance said, they told me and i quote.. "We're not responsible for telling you if you're in or out of network"... So I would still have to pay the $209 even though I was told before, during and after my visit by total health that I was covered by my insurance. I just feel like they had an opportunity to let me maximize my insurance coverage by informing me they were out of network so I could go somewhere else. But they decided to not inform me and have me come there to charge me $209 for a checkup that my insurance paid $116 towards. Total health said they would not adjust the pricing and I'm stuck with the bill. So now I'm going to file a complaint with the state board of insurance. How am I going to pay for a bill that I had no chance to avoid? I'm sure they're great people like I mentioned in the first sentence but this was not right. Now I have to spend time fighting this. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

Dr. Richardson is fantastic. She took the time to listen to my concerns and trouble that I have had with other dentists. Unlike other dentists, Dr. Richardson's office is set up to give you the personal attention you deserve. I appreciated that she gave me her undivided attention and listened. I have lichen planus, an autoimmune disease that is painful when inflamed. The last dentist that I went to did not listen and caused an inflammation so bad that it took over 6 months, going to a specialist at the University of Iowa and tryouts big several medications to get it to calm down. I left the office feeling like a person and not a number. After the appointment I did not have a flare up! I would recommend Dr. Richardson to anyone. Thank you Dr. Richardson for listening and being gentle!!!
