Made cracking a tooth, getting root canal and new crown as good an experience as it could've been given the circumstance.

The Lady's are very pleasant and very informative, they explained my options and the high tech equipment made the taking of x-rays so painless and quick an actual pleasant experience. I will give this office a 10 out of 10 . OUTSTANDING place to go for dental work.!!!!

It was my first time at this location after not being seen for a few years and it's probably the best experience I've had. I came in on a Saturday not knowing what to expect and before we even got started the whole process was explained to me from start to finish. We did imaging in 2 different rooms. After all the imaging was done I used my phone to get on a video call with the doctor. I thought it was weird at first but she was very thorough && detailed when explaining. She asked about my needs to make sure all my concerns were addressed and from there they set me up with a dental plan. Overall great experience. Would recommend to my friends and family.

There is a reason why I have been going to Dr. Francis for over 30 years. He and his staff are professional, helpful and highly skilled.

Re: Martinez office. Left bad taste in my mouth. I always try to acknowledge the hard working folks that make companies runand my two experiences with the staff were very good. They were kind and courteous and perfectly balanced with a professional/personal approach. BUT, if there was a title here it'd be "Good people, bad experience." The less-than-good: - The first time I was there, a Zoom Room system and large display was used to communicate with me and a remote dentist. It was kinda cool. - Thats right, communication with the dentist/doctor is off-site/remote. Was it a factor? Hmmm It definitely could be a problem. - 2nd visit: Upon, request for clarification, a MOBILE PHONE APP was required for a visit. It blew my mind and at that point my confidence was shaken and downhill it went. Requiring an app is a bad idea for many obvious reasons. -Also on 2nd visit, a deep cleaning was expressed to me as a near immediate need. 6 months prior, there was no recommendation for this. -A night guard was recommended. It was $900. I laughed. Good luck selling those. -At end of visit, I was escorted to a separate quote review room. I immediately felt like I was in a car dealership. The quotes, as I would later validate, were absurd and the meeting ended with them pressing me to sign an acknowledgement and agree to set up an appointment. I resisted and they couldn't explain why a signature was needed except to say that it was just an acknowledgement. That was weird. Bad practice to press for an actual signature for something that was not really an agreement of literally anything. -I immediately knew I needed a second opinion and got one. They evaluated me for free, gave me a $50 dental guard option and my final price for the deep cleaning was just under a third of Total Care's quote. That's right, I SAVED over $1000 over their original quotes. - Some services, like basic fillings, need to be done off-site. Yep, actually. The requirement to download and app was truly absurd. What if my battery was dead or if I was not technically inclined (would they do it for me??), what if it was a work phone with security controls, etc... I work in cyber security/IT services. My privacy and security alarms went off. Pros: -They did transfer my records quickly. That was helpful. -People were cool -Facility aesthetic was very modern -- Maybe you'll have a different experience.

Amazing dental office with super friendly and personable staff. I really enjoyed how they took their time to educate and encourage me on how to better manage my dental care. I received excellent service with essential oils to sooth me during a deep cleaning and a VR headset to keep me entertained. Shout out to Danielle. She is awesome!

This office was very clean! The receptionist was really nice and informative. The hygienist was very nice as well and we so many laughs which seems odd in a dental office. Overall I was super impressed with the office and staff.

Total Health Dental Care.... Oakland location. It was a truly positive experience. I've always being apprehensive of having dental work done. Dr. Connors made sure I was comfortable, he explained things very well and listened carefully to what I had to say. While the procedure was getting done ,I felt confident of with his expertise and approach. His assistant was very professional.Afterwards, I was greeted by Karla. Equally friendly and poised. We went through after care instructions and she answered all my questions. Overall, a great team! Great experience!!

Honestly, from their service I would have given them 5 stars. It was the end and after the appt that was the issue. Now, if I could give them negative stars I would. All info is attached for fact checking. I have an abscess above my left canine tooth. It's a severe infection, so at the very least right now I knew I had to be on antibiotics to stop the infection. This is also what they told me at this office when I made the appointment. I told them multiple times during the appointment that I'm committed to a long term treatment plan, but before anything is done I want to go over pricing and payment so I can be sure we're doing something that I can afford to do. I don't want to burry myself in debt. They agreed, told me they completely understood, etc. At the end, they give me a quote of $8,421 (after insurance, and I have good insurance). When I told her it wasn't something I could afford to do, and asked my other options, there were no other options. This is it, but if I do care credit I have six months to pay it. Not helpful. I told her I needed to take the quote home and figure out what I can do to afford it. She said sure, that's not a problem. I asked they would still be sending in the antibiotics, and she says yes. The antibiotics seemed pretty standard, as someone paid for care and they came in with an infection, you'd think they'd do what they could at that moment to manage the infection. When I left I got a text (see below) telling me that since I didn't schedule the treatment, they wouldn't be giving me antibiotics. ***Because I couldn't commit to nearly $8500 at that moment, I had to allow the infection to continue spreading through my body*** To be clear, I didn't decline the treatment, I asked for a couple of days to figure out how I could afford the treatment. 100% ONLY OUT FOR YOUR MONEY. It's beyond shocking. I ended up speaking to a manager out of their main office, and she helped get the prescription filled. HIGHLY would NOT recommend Total Health Dental Care in Martinez. Unless you have money to throw around and you enjoy being manipulated.

Covid safe ! I was super worried about going to a dentist during the pandemic. I have been avoiding it all year, but I am so glad I chose to go to Total health ! The receptionist was warm and welcoming. The staff and doctor are very understanding and non judgmental. What made me feel such at ease was the the Covid precautions. They did a screening as soon as a arrived and the staff is all in PPE. I also found out I need a deep cleaning. It is not as scary as it sounds after the hygienist thoroughly explained the process to me. I am looking forward to my next appointment!
