Dr. Hoop has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. After graduating from the Emory University School of Dentistry, he became a research fellow in periodontics at the same institution, eventually becoming certified in periodontics. Thanks to his extensive training, Dr. Hoop is able to care for and repair not only the teeth, but the gums and jawbone that support them as well, meaning his patients can get routine and specialty services in the same convenient location from the same trusted dentist.

If Dr. Hoop has learned one thing in all his years of practicing dentistry, its that in order to provide the best patient experience possible, he needs to personalize his approach for every smile. Dr. Hoop knew he was going to become a dentist in the 8th grade, and by making that choice, he upheld a long-standing family tradition. Hes the fifth dentist in three generations and is proud to follow in the footsteps of the talented professionals who came before him. Today, he cant imagine having any other career.

Dr. Hoop pursued his undergraduate degree at both Northwestern University and Emory University before continuing on to the Emory University School of Dentistry for the completion of his dental doctorate, where he ranked second in his class. He remained at the school to complete a periodontal specialty residency.

Since then, Dr. Hoop has regularly pursued further dental implant training at the worlds most prestigious institutions, including the Misch International Implant Institute, the Pikos Institute, the Pankey Institute, and the Dawson Academy.

Dr. Hoop has been married to his wonderful wife Lisa for well over 30 years. They have two grown children named Jason and Lindsay who are, amazingly enough, both attending dental school at the moment! As for personal hobbies, you can often find him indulging in some gourmet cooking, fishing, and woodworking.

Vi has been working in oral healthcare for almost 50 years now, amazingly enough! She definitely does a great job of helping our patients achieve healthier, cleaner smiles through her work. As for her education, she studied dental hygiene at Darton College of Dental Professions in Albany, GA.

JoanE has been working in dental care for over 35 years now, with many of them spent right here at Dr. Hoops dental office. Theres a lot to love about her job, especially getting to watch a patients transformation over time and seeing their face just light up with joy at the end result! Its also wonderful that the people she works with dont feel like just other employees theyre family!

When she isnt busy at work, JoanE spends a lot of time with her pets. Petey is her little pup, and she takes him to the dog park regularly. Tabby is her cat. As for personal hobbies, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and singing in her church choir.

Teresa studied dental assisting at Great Lakes Medical Careers and has her Expanded Duties certification as well. Today, her career in the field spans almost 20 years! She goes the extra mile to help our patients (especially the ones with dental anxiety) feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the treatment process. Sharing in their excitement as they achieve their goals is an amazing experience! She also feels proud to be a part of Dr. Hoops constant striving for excellence. Shes always learning and growing alongside her awesome coworkers at the dental office.

Away from work, Teresa has an awesome husband named Mark, two sons named Mitchel and Ethan, and one daughter named Madelyn. As for her personal interests, she enjoys staying healthy through nutrition and exercise, going pontoon boating/fishing with her hubby, shopping with her daughter, attending church, and traveling.
