Dr. Hoop brings over 30 years of experience to every exam and procedure he provides. After graduating from the Emory School of Dentistry, he went on to become a research fellow in periodontics and obtained his periodontics certification shortly thereafter. Basically, this means Dr. Hoop is able to not only take care of your teeth, but the structures that support them as well, including your gums and underlying jawbone. Having all this knowledge enables him to offer extremely comprehensive treatment to help our patients overcome every type of dental issue and enjoy strong, healthy smiles that can be trusted to last for decades.

Dr. Hoop actually made his decision to become a dentist when he was only in the 8th grade. By doing so, he followed in the footsteps of multiple talented professionals before him, upholding a proud family tradition. In fact, he is the fifth dentist in three generations! Today, he still feels confident that he made the right choice.

Dr. Hoop attended both Northwestern University and Emory University for his undergraduate degree. He then chose to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Emory University School of Dentistry, where he graduated second in his class. Finally, he completed a periodontal specialty residency at the same school to further expand his clinical skillset.

Following his college years, Dr. Hoop has continued to pursue state-of-the-art dental implant training through several of the worlds leading institutions, including the Pikos Institute, the Misch International Implant Institute, the Dawson Academy, and the Pankey Institute.

Dr. Hoop and his wonderful wife Lisa have been married for over 30 years, and they have two adult children named Jason and Lindsay. Theyre actually both attending dental school right now and carrying on the family tradition! When he isnt busy at the dental office, his personal hobbies include fishing, woodworking, and partaking in some gourmet cooking.

Sherry studied dental hygiene at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, and shes been working in dentistry for 25+ years, with most of that time spent at our dental office. Today, she feels so proud to be part of a team that truly cares about patients and building relationships with them. She goes the extra mile to educate them about their oral health and is even often a part of the treatment planning process alongside Dr. Hoop.

Sherry has been married for 20 years and has two sons. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, taking on various DIY projects, visiting Disney, going to the beach, and hanging out with her loved ones.

Vis career in the dental world amazingly spans nearly 50 years so far! She completed her dental hygiene degree at Darton College of Dental Professions in Albany, GA. She enjoys helping our patients achieve healthier smiles through dedicated cleanings.

JoanEs oral healthcare career spans over 35 years, with around half of them spent as a part of Dr. Hoops team. She thinks theres plenty to love about her position today, including getting a front-row seat to each patients transformation over time. Seeing their faces light up with joy at the end result is so amazing! She also thinks its wonderful that the people she works alongside dont just feel like other employees --- theyre truly family to her.

Away from the dental office, JoanE has a little pup named Petey and a cat named Tabby who take up a lot of her time. Her hobbies include taking Petey to the dog park, watching movies, cooking, and singing in her churchs choir.

Teresa attended Great Lakes Medical Careers for her dental education and is an Expanded Duties dental assistant today. All in all, her career in oral healthcare covers nearly 20 years so far! She goes above and beyond to help each patient (especially those who struggle with anxiety) feel at ease and well-informed throughout their visits. Sharing in their excitement as they achieve their smile-related goals is an incredible experience! Shes also proud to be a part of Dr. Hoops dedication to clinical excellence. Alongside her awesome coworkers, she gets so many opportunities to learn and grow.

Teresa has an amazing husband named Mark, as well as two sons named Mitchel and Ethan and a daughter named Madelyn. When she isnt busy at the dental office, she enjoys prioritizing health through nutrition/exercise, shopping with her daughter, fishing and pontoon boating with the hubby, traveling, and going to church.
