Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons require hospital based surgical and anesthesia training following dental school. Dr. Sreeni came to the United States as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon from India and then put himself through dental school again at Boston University and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Sreeni manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Sreeni practices a full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with expertise ranging from Corrective Jaw Surgery to Wisdom Teeth Removal. He can also diagnose and treat Facial Pain, Facial Injuries, TMJ Disorders and Sleep Apnea and can perform Facial Rejuvenation procedures, Bone Grafting and Dental Implant surgery.
Dr. Sreeni is the fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the Maryland society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Mid Atlantic society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and a longstanding member of American Dental association.
Dr. Sreenis staff are trained in assisting with IV Sedation/General Anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. The goal of the office is to provide professional service with compassion and an understanding of the patients perspective.
Dr. Sreeni has also completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York and has worked as an Attending Anesthesiologist providing services for children and adults in the ambulatory out-patient center of the hospital. Dr. Sreeni is an instructor for basic and advanced cardiac life support for the Adventist group in Maryland. He is also certified in Pediatric advanced life support and is very capable of handling emergencies that could possibly arise in the office.
Dr. Mary Alexander, periodontist, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of South Carolina and continued her education in dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dental Surgery where she received her DDS degree. Prior to and during her dental studies, Dr. Alexander received funding and support from the National Institutes of Dental Research for her involvement in the periodontal research.
After obtaining her DDS degree Dr. Alexander spent one year at the Veterans Administration Hospital, in general practice residency focusing her training in the area of anxiety patient management. She then attended Harvard University and earned her clinical specialty in periodontics and a doctorate in medical science. Her doctoral research was focused in the study of bone function and metabolic disease of the bone.
Dr. Alexander received extensive training in dental implantology, periodontal plastic surgery, bone regenerative procedures and sedation dentistry. All aspects of Dr. Alexanders training are incorporated in her periodontal practice assuring patients thorough and comprehensive periodontal treatment.
Dr. Asha Narendra earned her first Dental degree in 1996 From University of Bangalore. She established her private practice for 3 years before moving to United States. She graduated from University of Pittsburg with DMD in 2006 and has been in practice since.
Dr. Asha provides comprehensive general and cosmetic dental care with an emphasis on occlusion, does veneers, root canals,extractions and Invisalign certified. She is a strong believer in educating her patients regarding their overall health and not just teeth.
She strives to provide the best care for all her patients by constantly learning, attending many continuing education courses to keep up with cutting edge technological advancements in the field of dentistry. She is currently enrolled in Dawson academy and is on pathway of becoming a physician of the masticatory system.
