Always seeking the root cause of cavities, she attended the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. After learning the research of Dr. Singh, she had an epiphany moment and realized that sleep and breathing were related to cavities, growth & developmental issues, and could be related to multiple medical problems.
Dr. Hart has a passion for educating her patients on proper mouth postures which help align the jaws and improve nasal breathing. Using innovative and cutting-edge technology, Dr. Hart is committed to helping you sleep, breathe, and function to your genetic potential.
I believe continuing education is very important: Investing the time in learning new technology and techniques will benefit my patients by allowing me to provide the highest quality of care. I attend the annual meetings of the California Dental Association and the California Pediatric Research Conference, in addition to being a presenter for the Modesto INPUT Study Club and the Stanislaus Dental Society. In addition, I am a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Society of Anesthesiology.
I grew up in San Francisco but really love the quiet life and the wonderful benefits of living and raising a family in Modesto where my husband was raised. I have two daughters and have been active as a classroom parent and with fundraising activities.
When Im not working you will find me traveling, playing golf, or reading. I enjoy sharing in my childrens activities of school, music, and sports, and am involved with the Modesto Suzuki Association and the Modesto Symphony Youth Orchestra.
Being active in the community is important to me because I share in the responsibility to make our area a better place to live and raise a family. I am personally passionate about giving all children boys and especially girls the benefit of reaching their dreams through education in science and math. I try to encourage children to do their best in school and attend college. I am always so thrilled when I hear that a little girl or boy wants to grow up and become a dentist!
I give back to the community by providing free elementary school dental screenings and presentations to the Modesto City Schools during the year. I am a member of Omega Nu; a service sorority that organizes fundraisers to benefit local charities and community organizations. I also volunteer with the Hope Medivan mobile dental clinic, RAM (Remote Access Medical/Dental) Clinics, and CDA (California Dental Association) Cares, which provides free dental care to the community.
I was previously the Alliance Medical Center Dental Director in Healdsburg, CA. There, I was the recipient of the National Health Service Corp Loan Repayment Program Recipient and, in 1999, the Department of Health and Human Services Regional Dentist of the Year.

This place is terrible they use fear and guilt to pressure you to put your child Under general anesthesia and get work done . I would rather pay more somewhere else then to ever go back to that place and that is exactly what I did

They generally want to make appointments in the morning which is quite annoying, since my girls are in school. They got quite annoyed when I used to tell them that we needed afternoon appointments to meet our needs. Furthermore my oldest daughter had "work done" but we aren't sure if they even did anything. They still charged us!!! It was quite upsetting so we transferred. Definitely won't be going back.

Dr Toshi Hart is wonderful pediatric dentist. My children really liked her. She's patient & kind. Their office staff was great with my children. She is highly recommended by many people. Check out comments from parents! They have TV's for children to watch while having teeth cleaning

I admit my child has a spirit of fear in her and Dr. Hart and the staff tried hard to work on her but to no avail. What disturbed us was the recommendation for anesthesia to be used to fill a small cavity. We were not going to do that. They even tried to guilt and pressure us into the procedure. We sought a second opinion of course with our dentist Dr. Rickey. When they examined our daughters tooth they were shocked to hear that any dentist would recommend putting a child under for such a small cavity. They did some very minor work and she has never had any problems with the tooth. We are not fans of Dr. Hart.

We have been going to Dr. Hart for years and they have always been great. But this last appointment I was slightly disappointed. They give the children a token at the end of the visit to retrieve a ball from the machine; very cute idea. But the machine had given my child two balls instead of one and they made him return it. I thought that was cheap and rude. We pay enough for dental care and I don't think the extra ball would cost them much at all. The other problem I have is making appointments. They are always wanting to make appointments in the morning. Children are in school at that time. If you are in a business solely aimed for children, you would think you would adjust your times to meet their needs. The more the child misses school the farther behind they become. Between dentist appointments, doctor appointments and just becoming ill we try to limit their time missing school. Dr. Hart's office makes that very difficult.
