Dr. Eduardo Torrado founded Torrado Dental in 2013. He had a vision of owning a practice where patients of all ages could receive compassionate and personalized care. Today, we continue to bring his vision to life whenever we enter the office. Dr. Torrado is a highly skilled and experienced dentist and prosthodontist. He offers a wide range of general, preventative, cosmetic and restorative services. His office is one that welcomes patients of all cultures and ethnicities. Our staff is bilingual and works closely with the Latino community and the local childrens hospital.

For over 15 years, Dr. Eduardo Torrado has been committed to improving the health and beauty of his patients smiles through state-of-the-art dental and prosthodontic care. His passion for dentistry was revived when he graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1996. Dr. Torrado completed his General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in 1997. In 2000, he became a certified prosthodontist after completing the program at the University of Rochester Eastman Dental Center.

In order to stay on top of current information and technology, Dr. Torrado continues his education in all aspects of general and prosthetic dentistry with an emphasis on implant surgical placement. He participates in numerous continuing education opportunities through his professional affiliations, including the American Prosthodontic Society, American Dental Association, Monroe County Dental Society, and the 7th District Dental Society.

A bridge is a tooth-replacement option that is secured to the teeth, unlike dentures, but requires a less involved procedure than dental implants. We offer both all-porcelain and porcelain-fused-to-metal bridges, and Dr. Torrado will work with you to determine the best option for you. A bridge consists of an abutment tooth that is placed into the gap in the smile, which is secured by two crowns placed on the teeth on either side of the gap. We utilize CEREC technology to create custom bridges in just one visit! We also can create implant-supported bridges.

We offer three types of dentures: traditional, immediate, and implant-supported. Whether you are missing one tooth, all of your teeth, or somewhere in between, dentures can restore your full smile. We create custom dentures to ensure they blend in seamlessly with any remaining natural teeth and fit comfortably and securely.

Torrado Dental uses only tooth-colored fillings, which blend in naturally with the smile and provide more protection for your tooth than do traditional silver amalgam fillings. The fillings are created with composite resin designed to match the shade of your natural teeth, and are used when a small cavity has been removed from the tooth.

At Torrado Dental in Rochester, NY, we offer dental implants, a permanent tooth-replacement option that restores the strength, health, and appearance of your smile. Dr. Torrado (link to About Us) is an experienced prosthodontist who has helped many of his patients by placing and restoring dental implants. Implants are used to support dentures, bridges, and crowns, and can protect your smile from the damage that can occur from missing teeth.

A dental implant is a titanium post Dr. Torrado will surgically place the implant by creating a flap in the gums and a hole in the jawbone. After the implant is placed, four to six months are needed for the implant to meld to the jawbone in a process called osseointegration. During this period, we can provide temporary dentures so that you can still maintain your smiles function.

After the implant has fused with the jaw bone, an abutment is placed over the implant. Then, we will take impressions to restore your implant with a crown. After the restoration, the implant will look like and function as a real tooth.

For a dental implant procedure to be successful, a patient must be a non-smoker and have strong, sufficient jawbone that can support the dental implant. However, if you dont have sufficient jawbone, a bone graft or sinus lift procedure may help strengthen the bone. If this is the case, Dr. Torrado can refer you to a specialist. After the bone graft or sinus lift, Dr. Torrado will place the dental implant.

Besides traditional dental implants, we also offer All-on-4 implants, which are used to support and secure full dentures and do not require the four-to-six month osseointegration period as do traditional implants. Using the ATLANTISTM system, we custom create abutments that are used to attach the crown restoration to the dental implant.
