Doctor Toro is one of only a reduced group of dental professionals practicing in Florida who are dual-trained in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. His academic achievements are only surpassed by his commitment to deliver the highest level of care with a sensibility to his patients.
After obtaining a BA degree in Biology from the University of Missouri, doctor Toro worked at the prestigious National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in Washington DC focusing his research on the molecular biology of cancer and diabetes.
He then returned to his native Puerto Rico and obtained both his dental degree and post-graduate certification in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. For the next 5 years, he worked as a pediatric dentist treating children with a wide range of complex medical and dental needs.
In 2008, he was admitted into the University of Florida Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences and College of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics where he completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and his post-graduate training in Orthodontics.
Doctor Toro is an active member of various local and national dental and orthodontic associations. Each year he attends a number of continuing education courses and scientific meetings to learn and stay up to date with current clinical and scientific topics.
Our office treats each patient as an individual therefore each patient must be assessed to determine what is the right plan. Since no two people are alike each treatment must be planned and developed for that particular person.
We strive to have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that will handle your treatment with kindness and compassion. We keep up to date with the advances in orthodontic treatment and enhanced patient relationships by attending continuing education seminars in addition to ongoing training by Dr. Toro. Each staff member achieves an orthodontic assisting certification.
When visiting our office, we want you to feel fully informed and completely confident. Please feel free to ask us questions. There is no question about your treatment that will not be answered, and your concerns will always be addressed.

Dr Toro is really good at what he does and he's very understanding. My teeth was bad prior to visiting the office. Dr Toro fixed everything and thanks to him I can now smile with confidence. His staff are very nice and knowledgeable when it comes to your smile. Have been going to his offices for around 4 years and it totally worth it.

Doctor Toro is the best Orthodotist!!! My daughter's teeth were extremely bad. Her self esteem was very low. However due to situations we could not get her teeth fixed until she was 18 years old. My expectations was that if you get braces as an adult the cost was going to be so much more and we did not have insurance to cover the cost. To our surprise Doctor Toro was extremely fair and reasonable. He even took in consideration and gave more discounts due to the fact we were self paying for her teeth. He didn't look out for his interest he looked out for hers. He could of said you need all this extra stuff done, like pulling teeth etc., but he didn't. He had a plan right from the beginning. He said let's see how things go before we go to extreme measures. He allowed for monthly payments which made it easy for us to burden the cost. I also appreciated that he is a perfectionist!!! Towards the end of her time with the braces he tweaked a spot that he was not happy with. A month later he said to my daughter "very good I'm happy with it, how about you?" We are all pleased. Her teeth came out so beautiful. My daughter is so pleased and extremely confident now. We can't thank Doctor Toro enough! In addition to his beautiful skilled work, Doctor Toro is so fun and personable. The staff was so nice too. It means a lot that while you go through all of this, that the atmosphere be inviting, warm and fun!!! They became family to us the two years we went to him. We miss seeing them!!! So if your searching for a great Orthodotist for your kids or for yourself, look no further, Doctor Toro is the best!!!!!
