Doctor Toro is one of only a reduced group of dental professionals practicing in Florida who are dual-trained in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. His academic achievements are only surpassed by his commitment to deliver the highest level of care with a sensibility to his patients.
After obtaining a BA degree in Biology from the University of Missouri, doctor Toro worked at the prestigious National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research in Washington DC focusing his research on the molecular biology of cancer and diabetes.
He then returned to his native Puerto Rico and obtained both his dental degree and post-graduate certification in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. For the next 5 years, he worked as a pediatric dentist treating children with a wide range of complex medical and dental needs.
In 2008, he was admitted into the University of Florida Graduate Program in Biomedical Sciences and College of Dentistry Department of Orthodontics where he completed a Ph.D. in Molecular Cell Biology and his post-graduate training in Orthodontics.
Doctor Toro is an active member of various local and national dental and orthodontic associations. Each year he attends a number of continuing education courses and scientific meetings to learn and stay up to date with current clinical and scientific topics.
Our office treats each patient as an individual therefore each patient must be assessed to determine what is the right plan. Since no two people are alike each treatment must be planned and developed for that particular person.
We strive to have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that will handle your treatment with kindness and compassion. We keep up to date with the advances in orthodontic treatment and enhanced patient relationships by attending continuing education seminars in addition to ongoing training by Dr. Toro. Each staff member achieves an orthodontic assisting certification.
When visiting our office, we want you to feel fully informed and completely confident. Please feel free to ask us questions. There is no question about your treatment that will not be answered, and your concerns will always be addressed.

My son Ryan has gone to Dr. Toro for 3 years. The staff is amazing and Dr. Toro is the best! We "graduated" today but if any problems arise, we will go right back to Dr. Toro.

Phenomenal orthodontist!! My daughter went to Dr.Toro for braces and he was phenomenal from our very first visit. She wore braces for 25 months and her smile is beyond beautiful! She always felt comfortable with him and his wonderful staff, she is over joyed with her smile as she just got her braces removed!! Highly recommend Dr.Toro, I will be bringing my youngest here as well. His work is flawless!! So glad we went to him and got such amazing results.

Both of my daughters have been seeing Dr. Toro for a few years. He and his staff are very professional and friendly. I appreciate how careful he was with every adjustment - never rushing the process. Both of my girls are very happy with their beautiful smiles! We highly recommend Dr. Toro!

This dentist goes above and beyond to help everyone!! The insurance lady who helps get everything approved through the insurance has done amazing to try and get my daughters braces pre authorization released from my daughters previous dentist (they stopped taking her insurance). She called 10x and was not able to get in contact with them. She called me and let me know every step she was doing, then unfortunately had to resort to me going in and getting them to do it over the phone. This dentist is the BEST!!! So glad we have them to do my daughters braces!!

My wife and daughter had an unpleasant experience with a receptionist at this dentist. Her actions were unbecoming in a professional setting. Even after my daughters appointment and setting her next appointment one of the office workers pulled me aside and apologized for the actions of her coworkers. Then they had the audacity to call me later that day and requested to set an appointment to remove her braces mind you I've already paid a good sum of money out of pocket, multiple appointments, etc to get my child to this point.

I'm really surprised with how the waiting room was when I showed up for my daughters 1st appointment. There were so many people in the waiting area it was ridiculous. With covid there should be some kind of organization. One time the receptionist told one of the patients to not sit in the chair between my daughter and another patient then another family walked in and another girl sat in that same chair and the receptionist did not say a word to them. At one point I counter 14 in the chairs waiting in the waiting area. I then went to go stand outside which more people were waiting out there also. I don't think I will be going back because of that. I follow rules and want to protect my family and clearly that was not somewhere I want to be.

Not polite to young Women in early 20s . Anyone can of any age can get braces right ? Yeah don't waste your time here if you respect yourself & im referring directly to the owner ,childishness . He could probably only handle children , wouldn't trust that with my child's mouth

Dr.Toro has been such an AMAZING doctor throughout my treatment, I started with him when he was in Greenburg and i followed him to this current location at soon as i found out he left!! My teeth are looking SO GOOD compared to how i started! Can't wait to see the final results soon!!
