Dr. Boettner has been practicing dentistry for over 15 years, is a Minnesota native, and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He is dedicated to excellent care for every patient. Hes completed extensive, advanced training in dentistry and serves on the board of the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry. Hes also involved with community organizations like the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.
We are excited to introduce our new associate Dr. Fengyuan Zheng. He is the director of the Program in Prosthodontics at the University of Minnesota. He is a Board Certified Prosthodontist. He is highly skied and knowledgeable.
Dr. Sievert has dedicated his professional career to this community and abroad in the practice of general family dentistry. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a BA degree in Microbiology followed by a DDS degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1979. He and Dr. Topel began this practice in Maple Grove in 1979. His memberships in the following organizations have been a continual source of professional development:
Dr. Sievert and his wife Gayle, have four children and one grandchild. All four children have worked at the practice at one time or another. Outside of dentistry he enjoys hunting, biking and traveling with Gayle. His special interest is in general aviation flying as a private pilot.
It has been an honor for Dr. Sievert to be voted by his peersas aTop Dentist. He is listed in the 2009 and 2010 Top Dentist issues of Minnesota Monthly magazine as well as the 2007 and January 2012 issue of Mpls. St. Paul magazine. He is also listed in USATopDentist.com for the year 2016.
Dr. Topel's professional career is dedicated to serving the northwestern suburban community and patients abroad in the practice of general family dentistry. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, he holds both a B.E.S. Degree and B.S. Degree. He received his D.D.S. Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1978. Dr. Sievert and Dr. Topel began their practice in Maple Grove in 1979. Dr. Topel's memberships in the following organizations are a continual source of professional development:
Dr. Topel and his wife Mary have been married for 33 years and have two daughters. All of his family has contributed to the practice. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, studying history and traveling with Mary.

Amazing staff, the customer service is exceptional. Informative and caring every step of the way. They're on top of the concerns of questions I have and schedule any necessary appointments besides my cleanings in a timely manner. They stay on top of their game and would highly recommend if you are looking for grade A treatment for your teeth. I will be attending here from now on as I have been looking for a quality dentist for a while now.

Have gone here my whole life. Even the year I moved out of state I set up appointments timed with my visit home. Though I'm saddened that Dr. Topel has retired, we've been promised the same treatment from the new dentist I have yet to remember the name of.

Got a crown made and placed. Upon review from another dentist, it was determined that the crown was improperly placed. Hoping this dental office can help make things right, but have not heard back since my complaint.

We were new to the area (having moved from PA), and so we were trying to find a new dentist. Rather than going to a "corporate" practice like Park Dental, we wanted something a little more personal. This office was the closest in-network provider to us that wasn't "corporate," and so we decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, we struck out. The first main issue was the inability to get in contact with the front office in trying to schedule an appointment. I had to call multiple times because I couldn't leave a voicemail (their mailbox was full...). After numerous attempts, I finally got through and scheduled an appointment. My wife went in and was supposed to get x-rays and everything you would expect with a standard first appointment (cleaning as well). However, because she was pregnant, she was unable to get x-rays. She got her cleaning, and then the dentist merely talked to her for a couple of minutes because they weren't able to get x-rays. That was the end of the appointment. A few days later, we got a bill from them. What shocked me was that they charged us for a comprehensive exam, when they didn't even take any x-rays! We have dental insurance, and so the cleaning was covered. I called the front office to try to get this resolved, but again, it took me multiple attempts to get to someone. When that didn't work, I went in person to talk with the front office staff. I explained to them that it was ridiculous that they were charging us for a comprehensive exam when they didn't even do one. However, the receptionist said that the practice charges everyone a comprehensive exam fee the first time. Not wanting to cause any more trouble, I paid the balance, and left. Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a practice.

This place has amazing customer service and care, after bad interactions with other offices open on Saturday they took me with only 30min left in their day to look at what could have been abscess after a root canal at a different Dental office. The receptionist was awesome, you just don't find places that still care like this anymore! A big thank you to Topel Richard W DDS, it would have been a long scary weekend otherwise. I will be continuing the rest of my care at this office for sure.

I had an emergency tooth extraction here and they were wonderful. Got me in right away on a Saturday, made sure it was painless when they pulled the tooth, and Dr Topel even called me from home later that night just to check on me and make sure I was doing well. I have never had such a caring and compassionate dentist ever. I will be recommending them to everyone! Thank you for giving me my fist good dental experience!

My dad referred me to Dr. Topel years ago when I had some tooth problems and I've been going to him ever since then. The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Topel is an amazing dentist. He makes sure that I am comfortable and informed through every appointment or procedure.
